waste of time & money. came in a few weeks back asked if i can use my warranty to replace my battery, had a problem with one retard working there saying i had to buy the battery and trade in my old one to get the credit. thats not how that works, came in today. chick with blue eyes said to come back after 5 because they only had 2 people working?? so okay we came back at 7ish and the old guy said my warranty was no good. but the visit earlier said it was still good? make it make sense. wasted my time & gas communicating with these morons. not stepping foot in a autozone seems like they only hire mfs with extra chromosomes. read more

I come here just to get little stuff like air freshener and rain X so I've never had a problem with this place. I really like this location because it's right off of Mission and close to the 76. When I come here there are usually several customers being helped or looking around for what they need. If I ever need anything that I can do myself I will be coming to this Auto Zone. Even though my issue was not resolved, I would still highly recommend this location. Sebastian was friendly and helpful and took time to try anything he could to make my car work. In the end, I had to have it towed as the emergency parking brake mechanism went out, but again - helpful and patient trying to get it to go off so I could drive my car. read more

I've been coming here before the Yelp was with me. I've always been satisfied with the service here. They'll charge your batteries for free. The staff is willing to help and they work quickly. The prices here are competitive with larger retail stores and they keep the store organized. The location is convenient in the shopping center. Though I'm no longer in the military, I know they have a military discount, I believe it's ten percent. Which is pretty standard for places that have a discount. I'm not really one to complain too much, but it always leave here with a smile on my face. I wouldn't come here for advice on how to work on my vehicles though, since this one does not have a mechanics bay. read more

I try and shop at the Oceanside blvd location and I decided to try this location because I needed a car battery. Horrible experience. The employee handed back my old battery and didn't tell me if it was bad or not until I got home and found out the hard way. I went back to buy a battery and when u got home again I found out they gave me the wrong one! So after 5 trips and a call to the manager I finally got everything resolved. read more

Then they tried to make me pay for a part under warranty. I told the guy at least 5 times it was a lifetime warranty part and he said I never said anything about it being warrantied. They have less product than ORiley down the street, and their staff is ridiculously lazy. However, they are convenient. First, they would not take our used oil because it was not in the right type of container. Okay, so we come back with it in the "right container". Then they just point and tell us to walk to the back of their store, through inventory, and dump the oil into the drum ourselves. Shoot... If we had to do it ourselves, why did it have to be in a "special" container?? Dumb. And they were not even busy, they were just being lazy. This AutoZone is the best AutoZone I have ever been to. Brandy was extremely helpful and resourceful. The battery was bad on my friends equinox. Brandy tested the battery and the alternator. She then looked up the battery my friend needed and her options with warranties. She assisted us with the battery because it was corroded pretty bad. She suggested a kit to clean the corrosion off the posts and connectors. Over all the staff was extremely helpful! read more

This is a review for the Mission Ave, Oceanside Autozone. If there are angels on earth then your employee Michael is one. Sunday the 6th of July my car broke down and Michael went above and beyond anything to help me. I was on my way from Los Angeles to San Diego and my tire blew. Not only did he replace the spare tire with a smile and great attitude but he gave me written directions to a tire place down the road and was very concerned for my safety. He was super nice, professional and kind. They don't make people like him anymore. He wouldn't take a tip . He just wished me well. I can't thank him enough for all he did. Went here for a new car battery. No one wanted to help me. Finally when I got help the guy lacked knowledge of the the computer system and car batteries. Both him and what appeared to be a manager spent the entire transaction trying to up sell me, which I did not appreciate. When the associate finally got the battery for my car, the manager noticed it was the wrong one. So, back to square one. After 10 minutes of nonsense and him entering in my info for the warranty I was ready to check out. My total came up to double what the amount should have been so the associate asked to do the whole thing over again. At that point I had had enough, cancelled the transaction and walked out. These guys were SO unprofessional, no greeting, NO HELP, and all seem to lack training, customer service, and interpersonal skills. When the associate needed help he asked his fellow coworker who completely blew him off. This place is a joke! I have never had a good experience at an AutoZone and this place just hit the final nail in the coffin for me. Unless you like your time wasted and being up-sold on a bunch of crap, go here. If not, Wal-Mart is where it is at! No haggle and WAY cheaper with a longer warranty than what AutoZone offers. read more
