Grateful to have an autozone near me as it does definitely come in handy at times when you are in a pinch and also for the oil drop off station! (Recommend calling beforehand to check if they are accepting oil though as it does fill up quickly and have gone a few times, but had to be turned away due to the barrels being full, they fill up quickly it seems!) * Unfortunately it seems almost without fail there is an unfortunate staff experience, particularly there is an older female employee with gray hair that is just consistantly overtly rude. read more

Auto Zone advertised price matching as have done so in the past buying auto parts. Now, when going in am told the district manager doesn't want to price matching for Walmart, a big competitor I buy from as their prices are affordable, especially nowadays. If you look at their computer system, there is Walmart on their list of competitors to select, so I told the store manager that I'm taking my business back to Walmart and bought my air filters, oil same day for less. If you want to save money, avoid this establishment as their word doesn't match the advertising. read more

I brought my batteries to be charged by the store manager at Oceanside Ca [Ricardo ] who accepted the task at 8am Tuesday 17 2026 all day I was waiting for 12hrs. I came back to pick up that same day and the batteries were not charged. The batteries were negligent to be charged.This kind of behavior is unacceptable .I am a long time customer of this store ,I expect better.Not only Ricardo didn't comply with the job he committed too ,but he didn't delegate the job to another employee to handle it.Ricardo didn't charge my batteries and he handed the batteries back to me unchecked and uncharged .The purpose of a customer service is to help customers ,not to deliberately leave the business to fail at not giving great customer service. read more

Outstanding Service at AutoZone Oceanside #06166 I don't often write reviews, but the exceptional service I received from Kyle, one of the managers at the Oceanside AutoZone, deserves recognition. Kyle went above and beyond to help me get the correct part for my car and even installed it for me on the spot. I wasn't getting the support I needed from the dealership -- despite my car still being under warranty -- but Kyle took the time to listen, explain my options, and make sure I got exactly what I needed without trying to upsell me. Thanks to him providing the right bulbs, I was able to return to the dealership and finally get my warranty service completed. I returned the next day to purchase air filters and thank him again because his help saved me from being charged $350 by the dealership for something that should have been covered under warranty. Kyle's customer service, honesty, and willingness to help are truly rare. Highly recommend Kyle and this AutoZone location! read more

This location has the worst customer service, not only are they rude but complain about doing there job . Older lady was complaining because I had an online order return told me I should mail it because it was an inconvenience to her. She didn't know how to process an online return and blamed me for it , PIC said it was returned and I had to leave items they gave me no proof of return or receipt. When I asked for a receipt or proof I was given none and told to take a picture of the screen. They ask me to leave my information with a call back number and email only to be ghosted with no refund and on my 3rd call to customer service support for their negligence. Please hire people that actually want to work there and aren't rude to customers this has been an ongoing issue at this store. read more

Placed an online order at 1251pm. An email was supposed to notify us when our order of 6 in stock items would be ready for pickup. 4 hours goes by and nothing. We call the location and told our order has been pulled but they don't have the size of power steering fluid we purchased but they have 2 smaller bottles that will cover the original order. We agree. I wait another 20 mins at home and then drive the mile to the location. No one is currently in the store. I give my information to what looks like a manager. Her prints a receipt and then starts hunting for the items ordered. He returns with most of the items but when I state there are items missing, he says "I know" and then walks back to the search. 15 mins pass during this while 4 other people are checked out. Then when they can't find the substitution they suggested, the "manager" struggles to find my refund for 5 mins. It's a $2 difference so I tell him I'm done and don't care and just want to leave. I walk out with the rest of my "pickup" order 20 mins later (after waiting 4 hours beforehand). Just go pickup your needs. Don't preorder. It's pointless. Or go somewhere else. read more

The workers here lack attention to detail, first I come here looking for a part, online it said they had 2 in stock. When I show up the worker(new) goes look for the piece along with the manager (Kevin G). They couldn't find it so I decided to order it to the store as pick up, they told me to show up after 5 the next day(today) I show up and this old lady also a manager said she can't find my order and starts giving me the idk excuse which makes no sense since she is a manager and should know what she's doing, so I had to wait around for like 15 mins for Kevin to finish up with a customer, well after waiting turns out the new guy ordered it to the wrong location and Kevin says that the new guy is still training and it was a mistake which I don't care since yesterday he was there next to him. I told him if he could reimburse my purchase and said he can't since he doesn't have the part which makes sense but I don't care since it wasn't my fault. Well I don't know who is hiring these managers, I don't know about the rest but these two seem pretty useless since they don't know what the heck they are doing, the old lady don't know how to work anything out and Kevin well he can't look after his worker to make sure he is doing the right thing since the store was empty at the time. My car was having some issues with the throttle and then the oil light came on and of course I don't know how to really look at the oil and know that it needs oil and I stopped in on a Saturday at 3 o'clock. I had had good customer services at the AutoZine in Temecula Parkway and had no problem to shop at there. However, when I visited at the Mission ave. Store in Ocenside, I had an extremely bad customer ervice. A female worker, who works at the AutoZone on 24 APR 2024 at 19:48, had a very bad customer service and was very rude. It was not busy at all. The store did not have any customers besides me. Once I entered the store, she did not come at the front immediately: She was just looking at the shelves. I had to wait for a minute or so. She was not friendly nor did she has courtesy manner. After I order a filter, she picked it up. Then, I had to wait again a minute. She was just taking care of other things while I was waiting at the register. I asked her to hurry. She immediately started arguing. Even she ended up denying to do cashier. Ok get ready for this rant!!! This place just flat out sucks!! I used to work for Autozone back in the days, so I get how busy and shitty the job can be. I still always gave a f@ck or at least acted like it. Walked in to a half torn apart pallet of goods ready to be restocked on the floor. Waited for about 5 min or so and figured out no one was gonna help me anytime soon so I looked up everything I needed on Autozone.com and got what I could. Asked the big guy Manny who was grey shirt (manager) if they had any filters for a Honda Civic and he proceeded to tell me "whatever we have on the shelf", uuummm ok so I guess not. I ended up digging through their truck stock on the floor to find some items I needed. Well then I guess I kinda have what I need, except a Honda Civic oil filter and I go to check out. Manny rings up my stuff and I slide my card. At that moment I ask him what about my rewards bro can you still get that on there. He says no. Ok I said I thought you guys usually put that in when we check out, then big boy says "you should have been on top of it!" Haha. Damn. Ok. Well I guess I won't be going here again for a while. You know what sucks is I know people that work here (because I worked here) and we use them at work for parts. If you need some real help with anything this is not the place to go!! This has to be the worst customer service I have experienced over the last few years. Stephanie was extremely condescending when I simply asked where something was in the store. When I mentioned how rude it was I was told that nobody cares. I spoke to a few of my neighbors who told me to just go to Walmart or O'Reillys. I called in to see if they were able to assist on a repair for my car. I saw a shop next to them and assumed they worked with them. I asked for a quote on a leak repair over the phone. Stephanie said "idk we're not a body shop we just sell things." I apologized and not even half way into my "I'm so..." I hear the phone hang up on me. Wtf is wrong with you. Can't even wait for an apology you need to hang up on people. Stephanie needs to be fired at a minimum written up. Never going to this location. I ordered Coils for my car. The other location didn't charge me upfront and ordered them for me. I thought it was this location. This location could tell me which other location had them and ordered them, making me pay upfront. Once they received them they deleted all paperwork saying they belonged to me after charging me. So they were essentially stealing $200 because they shouldn't have a job. All around very annoying experience where I almost got bamboozled and lost 200 bucks for doing business with them. read more

I went into this AutoZone store today to buy a quart of motor oil because I thought my oil level might be low, I'm not a mechanic and I need help from time to time with things like this. When I arrived in their parking lot there were a lot of cars and they looked busy I thought again that there was no way they would have the time to help me. So, I took the chance and I got in line and was called to the register for service. I told Ricardo who was polite and professional what I needed help with and he immediately asked a staff member to help me who went outside and checked my truck oil level and got the oil I needed. I didn't get his name, but he was a little older had a long beard, and medium build and I want to say thank you for doing that for me. I was serviced by Manny for the oil purchased who also was polite and professional. I went outside to my truck to put the oil in it and Stephanie and Jessica were outside helping another customer change her windshield wiper I asked them to check to see if I was doing it correctly and they confirmed that I was... the little things are big things to me and it matters when your traveling and away from the people that usually help you with such things.
