I had an "interesting" experience buying new wheels from Discount Tire. Their website showed the…read morewheels as in stock, but after ordering I was told they weren't available, turning a simple purchase into a drawn-out process. Once at the store, there was also miscommunication about my order, and it felt like no one was on the same page. I'd still recommend Discount Tire for tires--they've always done a good job with installation and service (they were very efficient when it came to servicing my vehicle) But for specific wheels, I'd look elsewhere. In my experience, the online inventory was inaccurate, communication was disorganized among staff, and the initial process was more burdensome than necessary.

Today i had one of the most pleasant experiences at a 'car place' than usual, and I WILL be back to…read moreDiscount Tire again! So yesterday afternoon, I started hearing a weird tire noise on my left front tire, but had no idea where to go (I'm newish to the area). Google search found me Discount Tires on Bluemound, close to me. No appt., I just walked in, and they got me right in. Explained my tires were nearing their 10 year lifespan (who knew? i didn't realize this was a thing), and the tread was starting to separate on my left front tire. Yikes. So I went ahead and sprung for 2 new front tires. I wasn't happy at all about this surprise expenditure, but it was better than a blowout at 60 mph on 94, thank you Jesus! Jumped back in the car, and before I was even out of the parking lot, that weird sound was STILL THERE! What the heck? ‍ Went back in, had them check again; it was actually my left REAR tire, which had a huge BOLT wedged into it (THANKS A LOT, Waukesha construction zones)! Why this wasn't seen earlier at DT, I don't know, but it is what it is. The hole was too large for a patch, so they gave me a 'gently used' closely matching tire. AT NO CHARGE. As a woman who knows little to nothing about vehicles, so is at the mercy of those who DO know about such things, I almost cried. THESE are the kind of places - and people - that we need more of because they are so desperately needed. People are tired of being scammed. The front of the DT shop was clean and tidy, the guys in the back of the shop were highly efficient (and even that part of the shop was very tidy as well). I never met Bruce Halle, DT's founder, but his amazing business model and values lives on in his employees! I know where I WILL be going when it's time to replace my 2 rear tires! Thanks Chris, Niko and team!

I have a summer toy that spends most of its life in the garage so it sits for about 7 month with out being driven/rarely started and anyone who does this has to deal with battery issues. Normally this is no big deal because I use a jump box but it died last year and the car was absolutely dead so I needed to get a new battery jump starter this year to get the car going. The price range is $50 to $600 for jump boxes after comparing all the parts stores but I didn't need anything fancy or expensive because it's going to be used a couple times a year in spring time only. Oriellys had a $59.99 unit which would work well for my needs and it was on the shelf and to my surprise I pushed the battery status button, it was 100% charged so I didn't have to wait to charge it up and started my toy right away and drove I off with it in minutes. I stood in line to pay for the thing and a guy says open over here and a second guy says open here with a discount, who do you think I went to. I thought they were just playing around with the customers but the guy actually gave me $6 off and how fuc#%ng cool is that for a first impression because I have never been to this store and I thought it looked dumpy and I didn't know what to expect from them. Way to go Oriellys for my first visit, what I thought was going to be a couple hour ordeal on my only day off was as simple as it could have been so I'm definitely going back when I need something car wise. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICK'S CAR CARE!!!…read more I was visiting from California for the weekend when I discovered a nail in the tire of my rental car. The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. The whole repair was fast, VERY affordable, and I was back on the road in under 10 minutes. Jimmi was an absolute lifesaver! His kindness and willingness to help a stranger truly made my day. Thank you again, Jimmi! I won't forget it!

I took my car to get a second opinion and they were able to repair my car for $800 less!!! Also they noted the work done on my sensor was not done well by Silver Lake so they had to repair it as well. I'd recommend finding a local auto repair show instead. They are more trustworthy and fair in pricing.
