Not a good way to greet a customer. I ignored it because i was in a hurry but his rudeness continued. He got mad at me because i did not know right away some specific info on my vehicle. He then informed me that they did not do battery installs on my vehicle type, a 2018 Kia Optima. I suspect the real reason he told me this is because it was about 30 minutes until closing time and he didn't want to help me. So i said thanks for nothing and went to Auto Zone, where they couldn't have been nicer. They had me fixed up and on the road in no time. They were more than happy to take my money. Imagine that. I had never been in an O'Reilly before and you can be sure i'll never go back. This interaction took place on 6/11/26 at approximately 8:30 pm. The employees here are generally amiable and can actually be helpful. Sometimes, but not reliably, they have the correct equipment to perform their advertised "free testing". The lines at the cash registers can get pretty long if the store is understaffed, though. However, I'll only purchase fluids and similar supplies, but never any actual vehicle parts. (For instance, Costco sells very economically-competitive windshield wiper blades). Hard experience has shown me that AutoZone sells quite inferior car parts that will have to be replaced far sooner than is reasonably expected.
