Easy recycling! Autozones can be hit or miss. Sometimes you walk in and you get great service, other times you wonder who pissed in their coffee that morning. LOL, I hope Yelp doesn't flag me for obscenities for this, but it's just there are times when you can hardly get more than 4 words out of them. The condescending tone behind "We don't have that" or "Do you see it?" (as in on the shelf) can be quite maddening. Then there are those rare times when they are helpful and my recent visit was just that. I had two 5 gallon bottles of oil to recycle from a recent DIY oil change and that was easy breezy. I was told to just leave it on a cart by the door instead of having to dump it myself. I hate dumping oil into the giant container in the back so anytime I don't have to,.... I should knock off a star for the fact that the parking lot is a trip and fall hazard from all the leftover parts left behind and oil and various fluids leaked in the parking lot but that's not Autozone's fault, if only those that patronize could read that they are not to make repairs in the lot! read more

Not only did he go above and beyond to assist me, but his knowledge of auto parts and car batteries (my case today) was impressive and reassuring. He took the time to understand the exhausting and stressful issue I was facing. My car wasn't starting, not sure if it was the battery but ended up stuck in Queens. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that there were an awful lot of loud and boisterous men just hanging around their beat up cars. By the time I came out of the store with my wiper blades, they started to take notice of me and my car. They watched as I struggled with replacing my blades. They became a little too helpful, insisting on trying it for themselves. I was having trouble so I let them. They seemed like they worked with their hands. They didn't have any success. I eventually got it done by myself after they loaned me a screwdriver. When it was all done, one guy shouted "coffees for everybody!" I think that was my cue to tip everybody. I walked to the other side of my car to get away from them. Only one of them followed me. So I asked him if they just hang out in the lot, or maybe they stay here and look for people to help. He said something incoherent. I gave him $3. And then they all ran to the corner of the parking lot to take a piss. As far as the auto parts store is concerned, it's an auto parts store. With a parking lot. So that's a nice thing in NYC. And so many have closed. So this is definitely a good thing to have one around. But, don't come here if you are a woman, or small of stature, etc. You may be forced to give a few drunk men money for trying to "help" you. It's the equivalent of car window squeegee men: they "clean" your windshield and then expect a tip. read more

I came here to buy a Wagan Tech iOnBoost Slim Li-Poly Jump Starter 7504, the representative informed me that based on my bus a ( Ford E 450 heavy duty bus) this jumpstart will be able to get my bus running. Unfortunately it didn't, I tried to return it in two different locations In mount Vernon NY and they told me that they can't do nothing for me and to take it back to the same store I got it from. I came back a few days later (the store I got the jumpstart from) and all though the recipe said no refund on this particular item, I spoke to a representative name ADEl , when I explain my situation she guided me to the Managers, Christian And Thried The managers where great they explain that orders like these are not usually refunded but they made an exception for me. This review is more about an employee rather than the store. I had an emergency where my wiper blade flew off my car, mid-drive, in the rain. I knew there was an AutoZone close by, and I'd gone to this location before. Went in, one of the associates helped me get the right wipers. Another employee, (Matthew), saw me purchasing and immediately asked if I'd need help installing. I tried (as I have before, ) but this time, couldn't figure it out, so I went back for help. Matthew took the time to walk to my car, and install not only the broken wiper, but the other, which I had purchased to have a matching set. He didn't need to, but very grateful that he did. Was in flushing and made a stop at auto zone for wiper blades and antifreeze. Not a bad auto zone and they have plenty of auto parts and accessories for your ride. While roaming around I also picked up a few useful items , headlight bulb replacement and wheel locks. Prices are not bad and checkout is quick . My headlight bulb needed to be replaced. The AutoZone website said I needed an H11 bulb so I bought that and picked it up here. They were short-staffed since it was Sunday but I asked one of the workers and he said he normally would be able to but it would take too long. I went to an auto body shop and they said that the bulbs I bought were incorrect, and they put in the correct bulbs in about 20 minutes lol. I came here today to return the H11 bulbs I bought. While I was on line, a worker named Adelle was being really rude to a customer and telling him to get in line in a really curt manner. When it was my turn, I asked if I could make a return with her (the previous person I tried to make a return with said I needed to go "over there"), to which she kind of flipped her hand as if to say "I guess so." As she was processing my return, she started talking to someone else. When I asked if she could finish processing my return, she said "You gotta give me a minute" - again, very curt. Then her manager came by and she was saying how something was starting to get "really annoying." Finally, she (curtly) told me "Can you sign?" and as I was writing my signature she said it again. The kicker? Adelle's name badge said she is in Customer Satisfaction LOL. The people here are usually fairly competent and nice about things, so Adelle maybe is the exception, but man, tLl about an unpleasant person to be in charge of customer satisfaction. read more

I was there on front of the line but the cashier was calling out the persons that was standing behind me to the counter for whatever reason. I came here to get my battery swapped out. I called in advance to ask if they have the battery for my car available and asked them to place one on hold for me. An employee help me swapped out the battery as a courtesy. He did such a great job and was so polite, I tipped him for the assistance. He helped me handle the old battery trade in as well to get $5 back. It was a quick process. Came here to replace a dead battery on my 2010 accord. However, first road bump was the amount of cars idling in the parking lot. In order for Auto Zone to replace your battery for you, it must be parked in the parking lot. So I had to wait about 15-20 mins before someone would leave in order for me to take their spot. Other than waiting for a parking spot. the service was pretty smooth. Purchasing the battery and having it replaced only took about another 20-30 min. The employees that work there just want to get things done as soon as possible which is probably why they have a nasty attitude. But now I have a new battery and they don't charge you extra to replace it for you, so I can't complain. read more

Worst service I've ever had. The cashier with the tag titled "parts sales manager" was horrible, bad attitude, she would try her best to ignore the customers. You could be lazy but please do not appear to be lazy to the public. And there was another Indian guy I guess his named Roger, I went to him and politely asked if he could help me to take out the battery (heavy enough for a lady) since that was tie and heavy, he gave me the face and said: errr... let me think about it. If you're not willing to help your customer, then I believe the job at retail is not a good fit for you. Came in the morning ask if they can install car battery but they said they can't do it for an RDX 2016 because of a memory card and that they don't have a computer for it and told me to go to auto shop. Bad service and a serious lack of proper management. I shop here often since it's closest to me. Usually, there are 3-4 people working yet they only open one register while the rest stand around. If you run in for a simple item, be ready to stand for a while. read more

November 21 (Tuesday), 5ish pm Dropped into pirchase a 3M double sided trim tape. The manager Hugo was very helpful in locating the product. However when it can to time to paying only one counter person and helping to resolve a customer's is very acceptable. Once finished the counter person walked away leaving 3 others waiting without an explanation. The manager returned and I heard people laughing and carrying on a conversation and the woman assistant manger on the phone conversing about her life very clearly and loudly. I went in Auto Zone to buy one $15 product after a long day of work to wait literally 20 minutes. When I inquired with her, she had responded that she was that she was working. We all her personal challenges very lucid. Then she didn't hear anything else she then proceeded to show me the palm of her hand and walked away. Please check your video camera for support of dismay. We were stressed b/c our car was leaking engine coolant and the person there didn't have to come outside and take a look at where the leak was - but he did. I just visit the store and staffs who works there were not helpful. I was there looking for windshield repair kits so I asked 1 of their staff and she told me r6, (I am not sure what r6 meant so I assume its row 6)' so I went to r6 but couldn't find what I needed. Then I asked another staff, he told me the same thing but none of them actually showed me where is r6 and where are the repair kit. Communicated with 4 staffs for infomation and they were extremely helpful. waited a little bit to get the service but no issues at all while replacing my warranted dead battery.
