DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP WITH YOUR VEHICLE. I am Chris, the owner of a white 2012 Nissan Rogue that was serviced here in 2022. I paid for a tune-up and specifically asked the staff to check all fluids and make sure everything was in good condition. I was assured that everything, including the transmission, had been checked and was fine. Less than a week later, my transmission began slipping and struggling to go into gear. I had an independent mechanic inspect the vehicle, and he discovered that the transmission fluid was extremely low or effectively empty. We attempted to refill it and see if the transmission could be saved, but the damage had already been done. I was ultimately facing a repair estimate of roughly $5,000 and ended up junking the vehicle and purchasing another car. To this day, I cannot understand how I was told the transmission was checked and in good condition when I experienced such a catastrophic failure immediately afterward. Unfortunately, this was not the only issue I experienced. On another visit, I was told my vehicle was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was then asked to wait because the oil service had not actually been completed. I watched the technician finish adding oil after I had already arrived to collect what I had been told was a completed vehicle. I also had to return because a plastic component was left in my back seat after service and had not been reinstalled. One mistake can happen anywhere. Multiple incidents involving quality control, communication, and attention to detail are much harder to overlook. The financial impact of these experiences was significant, and I have never felt that anyone took responsibility or provided a satisfactory explanation. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this shop and would strongly encourage customers to seek a second opinion on any major service recommendations or inspections. This review reflects my honest experience as a paying customer. Junior, Ryan, and Shanice, I am deeply disappointed in all of you. The consequences of what happened cost me thousands of dollars and left me paying for a replacement vehicle. I am so grateful the location is open (all day on Black Friday) and willing to accommodate me at the last minute......2 days before my inspection sticker expires. I was told to come in only if there are no lights on your dashboard. I arrived and was helped by a pleasant counter lady. The office is small and the garage can hold at most 3 cars. I was In and out. I have been using this shop for a little over a year for basic maintenance and other work -- oil changes, inspection, tire rotation, wheel alignment, brake replacement, timing belt ... etc. The work has always been speedy and diligent. I call the day before for a quote and to check if I can bring in my vehicle the following day. I drop off my vehicle in the morning and wait for a call or text that my car is ready for pick-up. Mr. Francis is a true master mechanic. He treats everyone with respect and even strangers like us -- like family. He recent served as quite the independent expert when my inexperienced but very eager 19 year old son asked him to confirm during a pre-purchase inspection that a used Honda civic would be a reliable buy. Mr. Francis throughly inspected the car not once but twice. He also aggressively, but safely and expertly drove the car around many curves, bumps and local road conditions to ensure the vehicle was mechanically sound. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! So to start this off I was ticked off because someone recommended Ryan to me and I asked specifically for him to fix my car. I called 3 times specifically for him! Second time I left a message the lady in the office said he'll give me a call. They never called!!! Anyways I went the morning to the shop, I waited for him that morning thinking he'd be the one working on my car and before I knew it he gave my car to another man to fix and left! I Brought my car in for a part replacement and got my car back with new codes on my car. Check engine light came on. (Don't get me wrong I had one code on my car that I knew about) but they act as if they didn't see the new codes they put on it! I said it to them and they did absolutely nothing about it. They just pop the hood look around then cleared the light! That's it. I left Not long after I was driving on the highway and boom! My car lost power! It wouldn't accelerate, it started to lose power. Lucky I was near a shoulder I pulled off the road and checked the car another code came up. So now they put two codes on my car. I called and the lady from the store picked up and I was explaining to her that I'm having difficulties with my car and I don't know what to do. I'm stranded on the side of the highway! This never happened before, so you know how frustrated I was, it was all new to me. I asked to speak to the mechanic (Ryan) and she told me he said he can't speak to me right now!!! At this point I'm like! what you mean he can't speak to me right now!!! Like once they get your money that's it!!! They give zero fxxks about you. First of all they took my money, fxxxked up my car, left me stranded on the highway and you gonna tell me he can't speak to me right now..all bullshxt!!! NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!!! I did get the car started ! Went home returned to them the next day to try to correct their fxxk up and they look at whatever they had to look at and told me they cleaned the battery terminals so it should be fine. Not long after I was left stranded again. The car lost power again!!!! At this point I was just frustrated!!!! I called them again they told me I need a map sensor like why are they telling me this now!! I asked how much to fix it they told me they would call me back. Never received that call... I then took it on myself found a 5 star mechanic all the way in Long Island and got the problem fixed. Didn't even took the man 30 minutes to correct their fxck up!!! They pull the car apart and didn't know how to put it back together so the car wasn't getting enough power. Now my car works good as new with no hesitation! I honestly Thought this place was good because it was recommended and ratings was good on google but it's a waste of time and money!!! Today I brought in my 2016 Audi A4 to get the rear brakes done. I have to say the mechanics are very knowledgeable,respectful and honest. Upon removing my tires they advise me they needed replacing soon. This is something I did not notice. Overall the mechanics took care of my needs. I passed my Emission and my brakes light are working and this Jamaican guy has the audacity to say I fail my inspection because one out of my four reflectors light didn't work. He put on the inspection paper wheels removed, inspected and the car never went up on the lift. This place is a rip off. Do not go there. read more

JMR provides excellent service--one of the best I have seen so far. Truth be told...as a female going to the mechanic it gives me high anxiety because I have been taken advantage of in the past. However, not the JMR mechanics. I met an amazing mechanic Zmichael who was very patient with me, despite my high anxiety, and he took the time to carefully explain things. Not once ever losing patience. My sensor problem was diagnosed and fixed along with another issue I was not aware of all within a few hours!!! Again, great service!!!! Came here early one morning for an oil change and inspection thankfully I didn't need an appointment. When I got there I was helped immediately, he looked at my car and gave me an estimate. Bad service. Brought my car here for a simple inspection. I was told it would be 30 minutes I waited for over an hour for them to tell me they won't pass me unless I pay $400 for new break pads. My car is a 3 year lease and goes back just next month So I highly doubt this was accurate. Don't go here. All they care about is getting your money. read more

This place is amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are incredibly kind, professional and prompt. They took me right away to do my inspection and replaced my tail light bulb for only $15. My mom took my car in today to have the bumper replaced and they took her (personally drove her) to a place nearby that can do it quickly and reasonably. Great people, great prices and outstanding service. This is the only place I trust to take my car where I won't be overcharged and I won't have to wait a lifetime. Came in today to get my headlights and fog lights repaired. Went into the shop at 3 pm, was back in class by 4pm. Great clean and respectable service as well as great prices. I have never written a review praising a business before, but after my two experiences at JMR Auto Repair I felt the need to take the time to do so. This is a great place to get your car diagnosed and repaired. Many people, especially women with limited knowledge of cars, dread going to a mechanic because so many are either rude, condescending and just plain dishonest - and expensive. I didn't have a regular mechanic and found JMR completely by chance, when looking for a place to get my front brakes done. I appreciated the fact that everyone was very professional and actually showed me the work that needed to be done that day, they also gave me a list of other work that needed to be done, in what priority, and the approximate costs of each. I also appreciated the fact that I wasn't pressured and that they didn't use " scare tactics" to make me get more work done. Also, I was told that some work I thought I needed did not need to be done- how often does a mechanic ever tell you that you don't need work done?? I was very grateful and impressed and returned several weeks later to get my rear brakes and struts done. The shop kept their word on the prices they quoted me weeks earlier, I dropped my car off that morning, and although I was running late they waited for me so that I could pick up my car that evening. I am extremely grateful to have found JMR Auto repair, and very impressed with all aspects of their business, especially as a woman who has had other mechanics either attempt to talk down to me or outright lie in order to get me to pay for expensive ( and sometimes unnecessary repairs- which is why I didn't have a regular mechanic before). Excellent mechanic skills!! Was given the diagnosis that my car needed a new transmission by a major auto company and brought it to JMR to get a quote and to maybe fix it. Found out I didn't need a new transmission and they got my car driving like new again!! It's been months and I have no issues with my car.
