My sister and I have been going to Randy for years--and totally trust him. Just bought a new car and plan on bringing it to him, rather than get ripped off again at Subaru service. Just to give a perfect example of Randy's honesty - For the first 5 years we had our Subaru, we brought it back to the Subaru service dept because we mistakenly thought we had to because of the warranty. After 5 years we went back to Randy. 2 years later, we rec'd a recall from Subaru on the airbags so we had to go back to them to have it fixed. While there they did a "multi-point inspection" and gave me a list of things that had to be done (including rear brakes). The list came out to just under $1300. I just listened and smiled, knowing I had an appt with Randy the following week and would see what he had to say. I was pretty sure I was going to need the rear brakes (since Subaru had told me 2 years before that I needed them) but obviously was not sure of the other items. Randy looked over the car and called to say I needed rear brakes. I asked "anything else" and he said nope- just the brakes. Ended up paying UNDER $400 vs $1300 at Subaru!! We don't put much mileage on our cars but bring them to Randy every 6 months for an oil change and check-up anyway knowing he will never tell us we need something done that is not necessary. DO NOT HESITATE to take your car to D&L. Can definitely trust Randy.

My mechanic who is a family friend told me that my car's engine and transmission had been leaking…read moreoil and it was a matter of time before it was going to fail on me. It was due to old age (239000 miles). Too bad he doesnt do engine swaps. Fortunately, I have a coworker who has a husband that owns a shop and was told that he just recently swap a engine with a low mileage jdm motor. Chris called me that same night and we went over the details on the work that needed to be done on the car. He was very informative and he went step by step with me about the engine swapping process. He even told me that he would pick up the engine and transmission in NJ for a cheap fee. I decided that Chris was the right guy for the job and told him that I would give him the car in three weeks to work on. When I arrived at the shop, I told Chris that I had other issues with the car. He told me that he will look into it but his main focus was to replace the motor and transmission first. During the time he was working on my car, he kept in constant contact with me. He would let me know what he was doing and if there was something that needed to be replaced, he would call me first for permission before buying the replacement part. Chris also sent me picture and videos while my car was being worked on. One of other issues that I had address to Chris was that my heater was only give me luke warm air at best. I had thought that my heater core was clogged and that it needed to be replaced. Turns out, Chris found that it was just my heater control valve that was broken and prevented the coolant to go into my heater core. For people that dont know about heater cores, it would cost 800 to 1500 dollars for the heater core to be replaced. By finding out that it was just the heater control valve, Chris saved me a boat load of money. About a week and half later, Chris finally finished the job and he delivered my car in front of the house. He even gave my car a wash and even detailed my car. I test drove the car with Chris sitting on the passenger side and was surprised how much power I had on the new engine. Transmssion was shifting flawlessly. Chris also installed a dedicated transmission oil cooler and filter to prolong the life of the transmission. I had told Chris that day he delivered my car that I was going on a trip to upstate for the memorial day weekend. He told me that if I have any issues to call him immediately. I didn't have to call him because my car worked perfectly. In fact, Chris texted me asking how my car was doing and I forgot to text him back. (Sorry Chris). I highly recommend Chris to anyone. Not only that he does excellent work, he genuinely cares about his customers. Other than my family friend, Chris would be the only one I would trust my car with. Thank you Chris!!!

Because I was rear-ended, I knew the other person's insurance company (Progressive) would pick up the full bill so I chose Natal out of the list of nearby repair shops that work with Progressive. The reviews here were a little sketchy, but they seemed to have really good marks on Google Maps so I figured I'd just show up and see how I felt about the place. I wound up talking to one of the owners, "Little Al". He's a little rough, but he's a friendly guy. Real down to earth. Reminds me of one of my uncles actually. We chatted for a while and he went through the initial estimate I got from Progressive. We took a look at the vehicle together and he gave me a realistic time-frame for getting the repairs done. When everything was said and done, the bill was just under $3500 worth of damage, but when I showed up and looked at the car, you'd never know it was wrecked. The paint match is great, it looks like new, and everything works the way it's supposed to. What more can you ask for? They even got the car back to me two days earlier than they'd estimated. I felt like they got it all done pretty quick, especially since they had it over the 4th of July holiday weekend. The only thing that threw me a bit is that one of the guys working in the shop had tried to move my old bumper stickers from the bent and dented lift-gate to the new one they painted and installed. It didn't take as well as they probably hoped and I went ahead and just pulled them off. "A" for effort though. I went back a few weeks later to get my Safety and Emissions testing done. I wish I'd realized it was expiring. I could have saved myself a trip if I'd had them do that while they had the car. That being said, I showed up at 8:25 and about 20 minutes later I was driving down the road. The service was fast. The mechanics apparently don't like EDM, though. They turned the radio off. LOL.

He immediately came out, took a look, and handled it no less than 10 minutes and didnt charge me full labor. This was my second time there (first time was to have my new car inspected).
