So I'm debating right now if I should write off all Autozone's as a whole, or just this one in Anderson Township to not give any additional business to.
Jan 12, I purchased new wiper blades and a gallon size of defroster. I noticed that when it rained that it was taking more effort to clear the windshield. Since it's snowed the other day, the quality of the blades really showed. Oh, and did I mention I've almost used up that entire bottle of defroster?! It's the only thing I can use to help get the gunk off my windshield.
Today my husband and I went to the location and the worker "John" was not helpful and downright rude. First he tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with the windshield blades but instead the tension of the windshield wiper is not strong enough. After explaining that I'd never had an issue with my windshield wiper/blades before and that I only decided on purchasing new blades after speaking with another employee he got rude and said, "well we don't force anyone to buy windshield wipers here". To that I responded, "that's not what I said, what I'm explaining is that I've never had a problem with my previous blades and only in a discussion with another worker here did I decide to get new blades since I was already here to get a defroster."
At this point, there was no hiding his aggravation. He told us that we'd just need to buy new wiper blades. I said, "well actually sir that's why we're here. We were hoping that you could at least do an even exchange for better quality wipers". He asked if we had the receipt to which I don't have, and he refused, saying, "nope". I explained that I can show on my phone the purchase information, again he said "nope" and walked back in the store.
Once I got home, I decided to go to autozone.com because they have access to purchase history. The rep gave me the transaction number and provided me the number to the regional office. I've since spoken with the front desk there, so now I await the phone call from the RM. read more
