My battery died when the weather dropped drastically and everywhere else I called was almost double the cost.

This is a good place to get parts for older cars at reasonable prices. They can usually tell you…read moreon the phone if they have what you need saving you a wasted trip.

Since I'm a foreign student at UIUC, I was really worried someone would take advantage of my lack of familiarity with the US and scam me out of my money. The purchasing process went as smoothly as possible - got the car for a test drive, got it examined by a mechanic, got back, signed a couple of papers, paid, and got the car with everything else take care of. I later got the license plates delivered by mail. A week after buying the car I took it on a small trip to Chicago and back, and several warning light lit up. I called them immediately and they told me to bring the car in tomorrow morning. They took the car and fixed everything I had asked for, no questions asked, quickly, and most importantly free of charge. The problem turned out to be a faulty sensor, and the car has been running perfectly ever since. I gave them 5 stars because they delivered everything they promised, were fair and honest, and this is what matters the most when buying a car. Service was good both in quality and speed, and workers were nice.

Terrible experience, had a very simple request to fit a tire to the rim, called multiple times and…read moreno one picked up went in to the store, waited for a half hour to ask for what I needed an hour later they said they could not do it because the tread on the tire was too low (which obviously wasn't true) I went in at 5:30 and they called me at 6:30 they close at 7 and they were just far too lazy to complete what I asked. NEVER GO HERE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

I purchased tires from the Wal-Mart store in Savoy, IL on Feb 27, 2018. (I have the receipt). These…read moretires were put on by another tire store because of the 'double' cost rate of the Wal-Mart store. It was also aligned at another tire store because of the high alignment cost of Wal-Mart. In a little over 2 months the steel belts on the tires are showing. We went to have Wal-Mart replace them and they WON'T! Neither will they refund the cost of the tires. They WILL however sell me more tires at a discount as long as I buy the 'road hazard' warranty. Now first: Why would I not be able to get the tires I've already purchased replaced or refunded? The Auto Service Manager did NOT believe the tires were just over 2 months old until he was given the receipt. He conceded the tires were faulty and poor quality but only offered the discount on new tires if road hazard was purchased also. So I called the "corporation number" which said they ALWAYS 'Stand behind' their store managers decision. So they DON'T stand behind a customer purchasing - in good faith - a product that would last more than 2 months? I'm fortunate that the car these tires are on were not carrying my grand children because if they had blown instead of just going flat this might be a different kind of review. Now second: I'm not trying to get something for free, I'm just wanting the product I paid for to be of a quality that would last longer than 2 months! I don't want to PURCHASE more tires from Wal-Mart if they can't HONOR the ones I just bought! If they don't want to replace faulty tires because I didn't purchase the road hazard (which wouldn't help in this case because it WASN'T a road hazard issue) then what is a 'low-income' (Wal-Mart's word for us Wal-Mart shoppers) Wal-Mart shopper supposed to do? Just keep buying bad tires from the same company? I apologize if I sound angry..I'm really trying to not be. The way I have been treated by the store and corporations customer service is just NOT good business practices. MY $106.52 purchase is pennies to Wal-Mart but it's not to me and a lot of people. Especially now that I have to buy more tires! But the BIGGEST problem is their honesty and integrity! Now I also bought the Westlake tires (for the back) in July, 2017 and they are ok, so AGAIN why is Wal-Mart not wanting to replace these two Douglas All Season faulty tires?? I bought in good faith but is it that Wal-Mart doesn't necessarily sell products in good faith? Also why does a company NOT let you contact a member of Corporation? I was quite rudely told "we won't give out that information"! Well I think there is a reason for that!!
