I try avoiding bringing my car to the dealer or some shady mechanic and I am glad that my boy Manuel is highly skilled in auto repairs and maintenance so that means I can got to the local AutoZone in Greenpoint to get the parts and accessories to save a few bucks or more . They have a good selection of auto parts , accessories and a bunch of other stuff for your wheels . It's important to have the correct year , make and model of car and most important is the production month as well including serial numbers if available as some car parts vary by months on certain brands . They had the parts in stock , save a little money by buying multiple parts and now its Manuel job to do his magic .Getting parts and accessories from auto parts stores instead of the dealer saves you money as one part which was spark plug wires was almost less then half compared to dealer .4 stars on my yelp meter for AutoZone . I approached an associate and he was not very helpful at all in fact he seemed to dislike his job and was very disinterested in helping me. I was going to leave when I the cashier asked me if I needed help. I expressed to her what I was shopping for and she was incredibly helpful. She researched the item, gave me tools to measure to make sure we got it right. She asked me questions about what happened and really made me feel so supported and helpful. I want to ensure I commend her because of her I have the tools I need to fix my car, I also think auto zone should give her a huge shoutout maybe a bonus for her actions. I had a burnt out tail light. Pulled over at this auto zone to get a new bulb and ask if they had anyone that could help install it for me (which they normally don't do) A fantastic employee named Yusuf A said he would do it for me and help me out. He took apart my whole light and replaced the bulb for me. Also he recommended a $15 tool set that's normally around $50 so if it burns out again i can easily fix it myself. He was super helpful and one of the nicest employees I've ever dealt with anywhere. 10/10 experience at this auto zone and i highly recommend Yusuf if you need help installing something on your car. read more

This is by far the worst Autozone in all of Brooklyn. With COVID in mind, that still does not excuse the fact that they are rude, the staff is unhelpful and coming here is just dreadful. The staff does not take questions when asked -- you need to wait on line to be sent direction. When you finally arrive, the attitude that all of the staff gives is unacceptable. This place is over priced and seams to always be lacking what I need. I walked in for a basic light bulb and guess what they didn't have it. The guy offered me a similar bulb but it was yellow. Every time I've been in here, I've received great customer service and help w finding the right product. Whether it's a battery for my key fob, the correct size and type for my wind shield wipers or a new battery, they've always been helpful and they always have what I need. Last time my wipers were falling apart, I stopped in while it was raining. The guy made sure I picked the right wipers (I picked the wrong ones) and he even installed them in the rain! Then they also took an old car battery I've been meaning to recycle. read more

I have been to this location a couple of times and every time I went in never had any issues. The employees always asked if I needed help and when I said what i needed they would definitely assist. But what really did it for me was when I went in yesterday because I had to get a new battery for my car. I was attended right away and the girl that helped me was very nice got me the battery and everything. Another employee who's name was Jesus was next to her and offered to help me put in the new battery. I must say he was so helpful and definitely didn't have to help and he went out and helped me with that. He was so patience and made sure everything was done correctly. I just had a really great experience. Went in to replace my battery. They do replace for free. At first I thought I was going to have a hard time because the employee at first acted like he didn't know if they replace for free and then his manager said teasingly "you know that answer to that question." After that the service was great. We had a lot of fun talking about my car and he showed me how easy it is to replace the battery in my car - which I thought it was but wasn't sure enough to do for the first time alone. They also suggested that the Rain-x were the best wipers when I said I wanted to replace. I got $5 back for giving them my used battery. I would definitely go back. I'm sure it may depend on who is working that day but the crew I had was really good and did a good job of managing the line and a few customers at once. read more

every time i've been here the service has been awful. today we waited 10 min to check out while two people behind the counter told me to wait while the lady outside finished with another customer. they were sitting back there on their phones. they finally decided to start helping people because a line began to form. after i paid and i was waiting for the receipt, the guy helping me decided it was more important to check his phone than to give me my receipt. i would rather drive further to a different location than to ever come back to this one. read more

Total rip off when it comes to refunds. They double charged me for a part on my credit card, but wouldn't take the charge off without me coming back to the store. (???!!!) to show them picture ID. I asked them to show me the two receipts which they freely admit they don't have and they also admit that the two charges are for the exact same part. Told me if I don't come within 90 days they will keep the double charge. A total scam. Have to go through a dispute resolution with my credit card for a simple mistake. read more
