This review is for VIXAY! I went in to buy a battery and did not know they offer free battery change if you bought it from their store. My mechanic was away for a whole week and as a woman, I have no idea how to do this. I was chatting with VIXAY on battery and wipers recommedations and told him my situation. He offered to changed both the battery and wipers for me. I can not thank him enough! Thanks VIXAY for being so kind and helpful! :) read more

2-1-2024...1p.m. This experience & 5 star kudos goes to Isaac for excellent customer service. The reason for my visit to the Tracy Auto Zone was to replace an alternator that was under warranty I had purchased from a Auto Zone in Oakland a couple of years ago...(always purchase lifetime parts it's worth it) . This transaction went smooth...unfortunately the new alternator was a dud, left me stranded and drained my battery. after it was installed. The car was towed 40 miles back to the shop. My mechanic de-installed the dud alternator & battery then I called Issac...yeah I was heated but Issac took care of everything...Replaced the battery which wasn't under warranty, got me a new alternator and covered the reinstalling cost to my mechanic...Much props to Issac thankx man... read more

Visited this location today to get a replacement headlight for my car and the sales associate Jr was very helpful! I wasn't sure if I needed a high beam or low beam so he helped me choose the correct bulb I needed. Really appreciated his knowledge and customer service! Was in and out!! read more

Wandered in to pick up a new trailer lock because the key for ours broke. They had a few different options and it was easy to locate exactly what we were Looking for inside the store. The shelves were well organized and seemingly well stocked. Floors were dirty but I don't really expect much different in an auto parts store. Taking 1 star away primarily because the staff seemed rather disorganized and service was slow. We stood at the front, along with 3 or 4 other customers for a good amount of time before anyone came to the checkout. New people would walk in and stand in random places and the staff Failed to Direct them to the designated checkout line. It evolved into a bit of confusion with everyone on who was to be helped next. Luckily we weren't in too big of a rush and our lock seems to be working out just fine. I appreciate the convenience of specialty stores to help us get exactly what we need. read more

Angel went above and beyond to help me out! His customer service was nothing less than fabulous My car battery was dead a few miles down the road. My aunt drove me to Autozone, and Angel helped me pick out the perfect tool set with everything I needed to remove it. When I got my battery in, I drove back to Autozone to purchase a few more items, windshield wipers, glass cleaner, etc. Again, helped me pick out the perfect items, and installed the wipers on my car! He was so kind and patient and made my stressful day so much better! Thank you Angel! read more

Maybe should train employees on how to actually change a battery if they offer it. "Manager in training" Juan came out complaining that he had to change my battery that I just bought there. Then comes to my battery and starts poking with screwdriver doing nothing, THEN STARTS TAKING MY COLD AIR INTAKE OFF. I told him to stop and came home and did it myself. HOW TF ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE MY COLD AIR INTAKE OFF TO CHANGE A BATTERY. Why offer to change it if you don't know how???? This is a joke read more

Shout out to Mr. Frank C.!!!! One of my brake lights were out and I had to rush to the store to get one. He was nice enough to change it for me. I was really stressed out because my daughter is going to take her driving test tomorrow. Mr. Frank C didn't hesitate to help me change it. I still believe in human kindness!!! Mr Frank C I can't thank you enough for helping us !!!! read more

helped me tremendously with my battery issues and even got me a refund. deeply appreciated their help, especially Sonny!

Every time I come to AutoZone experience! They always know what's wrong with my car and I have an older car. My light turned on for what I thought might have been a bad battery. I let the agent know and he said it actually might be your alternator. He grabbed the machine tested it and it was my alternator. Super blessed that he caught that right off the back because I could have been stranded somewhere in these backroads had he not given his suggestion! Thank you so much AutoZone! read more

I took off one star because I was given the wrong part for my mom's vehicle. She ended up paying to get this part painted, and when we were about to get it installed that's when we found out it was the wrong part! But...Issac the store mgr was great about the whole thing. He gets FIVE stars. He have me the $$ back for the part, and told me I could get the $$ back for the paint job too, but he'd have to file a claim w/ corporate. Anyway, the whole thing only took about 3 weeks to get the $$ back from corporate. My mom and I were relieved! read more

I had called in about changing my battery 15 mins before coming in and they confirmed they can change my battery if I buy it from them. When I arrived the manager at the store mentioned we can't do it because we're understaffed. Very unprofessionally handled. Would not visit this branch again because of the lack of service or willingness to accommodate. read more

Called to get pricing and availability on some spark plugs. The phone was answered by a woman who asked me to hold. I was put on hold and waited for about 15 minutes when she came back to ask how she could help me. I told her I needed pricing on spark plugs, her reply was ok. I then started to tell her year, make and model of my car, during which time she put me back on hold without a word or notification. I waited about another 6 minutes and then hung up for a total of almost 23 minutes. I know this as I looked at my phone for duration of call. If this is how they treat a simple phone call can only imagine how it would be in store. Guess I will just go to O'Reilly's as they actually answered my call did not put me on a 23 minute hold and answered my questions. read more

Fast service and friendly staff. Theres an motor pil and filter drop off station out front, which is very convenient.

Read online that AutoZone who help install a new car battery if I purchased one from their store... they wouldn't even come outside to look at my car, very disappointed read more

This place needs to work on their customer service first and foremost. The associates are not welcoming at all & are somewhat rude & negligent. I've been to this store multiple times hoping & wishing they would get their act together but each time has been a disappointment. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST, oreillys or monument will gladly honor your business unlike these lazy bums. read more

Went to this store for a simple battery test and the so called no it all employee tells me my battery is good at 12 volts and recommend that I change the alternator instead. They didn't stock the part so I had to order it online so at the same time I thought I'd go ahead and change the belt also. After ordering online and was charged $134 and installing the part and belt come to find out it wasn't the alternator after all. After having a neighbor who is a retired mechanic he tested my battery and said it needed replacing. And sure enough that was the issue to begin with. Now I go back and try and get my core change back and what should have been a in and out process took over an hour when they couldn't find my order number or invoice!!!!Agh. I am never going to Autozone ever again!!!! read more

Does your diesel powered vehicle have an EGR valve? You know that emissions related component cooked up by some environmental ding bats to validate their own existence? If so your engine has secretly been snarfing down steady doses of exhaust gas with soot and it needs a cleaning. Here comes LiquiMolly diesel purge to the rescue. Your TDI, CDI, Cummins or Bluetec will love it. Your vehicle will think its a delicious dessert or the car equivalent to a human laxative. Oh, your engine will run well and your car will thank you. This product isn't carried at O'Reileys and thanks to it "diesel" is no longer a dirty word. Diesel Purge aside... this store is great. Seems like the employees are a bit overworked but they do the best they can. Great selection. Another note: There is this insanity up in front of the store on the sidewalks. I think there used to one wheel chair ramp right in front of the Auto Zone - now cemented flat only to be replaced by two new ones - one on either side - that is inconvenient to the front door of Auto Zone... go figure. Probably just some city official eager to spend your expiring tax payer money. Who ever is in charge of this evidently didn't do it correctly the first time with accordance to laws. Lets throw them in jail along with those environmentalists who created unnecessary emissions components. read more

Came in here over to weekend to get a couple of items for doing an oil change on my car. Service was slow, even though there were not tht many customers. My car battery died on me on a Saturday morning. Damian and Nathan were very helpful and responsive. I called in around 8 am and they let me know the would order the battery and it would be in by 9. Sure enough, the battery was in when I came in at 9. They helped me install my battery and walked me through the process. Thank you Nathan for helping me install my battery on my Ford Expedition. Would definitely recommend this auto zone since they made the stressful process easier for me. read more

**Just want to send a shout out to a pleasant AutoZone employee that helped me today. I believe his name is Mikey S. and he came from working at O'Reillys but now works at the 11th St. store of AutoZone. A very nice and helpful individual who went above and beyond making my experience today buying an engine air filter for my car pleasant. I want management and others to know that they have a good employee with Mikey S. I used to go to other auto stores but my experience today will make me do more business at this store. read more

Service here is just horrible. No acknowledgement of you as a customer. Not even when you are waiting in line to make your purchase. Not even a "we'll be right with you or thank you for your patience, etc!" These guys have blinders on, are afraid to acknowledge customers or they are poorly trained in service...maybe all if the above? read more

I ordered a part online in the morning, indicated it was in stock & able for pickup the same day. By 7pm I hadn't gotten a Pick Up Notice, so I called. A very bored sounding woman told me that it was not in stock & I could pick it up the next day. That didn't work for me as I was having surgery. I asked why it was in stock online & why I was made to wait all day when I could have gotten it somewhere else earlier in the day. She had no response & said "that's ok" when I told her I'd never shop at AZ again...No apology, no regret, no offer to help in any way, or check another store, nothing. Went to O'Reilly's by 11TH in Tracy, who didn't have it, but checked with his brother at their store down the street by Harbor Freight who had it waiting for me in 5 minutes. Why is it so hard for some people to give basic customer service that they're paid to give? Training? Attitude? LAZINESS?..When did doing the least amount of work possible to still get paid become the work ethic of America? I'm ashamed.. read more

Came to autozone and this specific location has very bad customer service. 3 employees at their registers I'm there standing in line and pulls people from the back of the line to get rung up. I finally get to the front of the line this young punk with peach fuzz on his face "pretty boy" asks if I need help, duh! I Then mention I have an autozone card he sighs and asks for my number. Give him the number flicks the receipt at me I'm like oh you little b**tch! Customer service here is non existent. Go to momentum auto parts around the corner. Excellent service there and they've got the right parts. Avoid this location bunch of young punks with attitude here. Guess this is the only type of job they're qualified for. read more

This would be a Z E R O star review if possible. My visit was a total JOKE. I walk up at 8:45, guy looks at me and tells me they're closed. They close at 9. Then the guy is like flirting with some mom for what felt like forever, and then gets to me and asks what I need, I say 1996 f350. He responds is that a Chevy or Honda? (Seriously?! You work at an auto parts store) Then he asks what I need, I tell him a pinion bearing, he spells it pinnon barring, and then tells me there's no part called a pinion bearing. ‍ I just walked out, and then he goes oh lemme unlock the door for you. It's 8:55 and he had locked the door, with 4 customers in side. Worst service ever. read more

My husband needed to get break pads for our car. They were out of stock and ordered them to come in the next day. They never called us back. Good thing he was able to get them from Monument. We will never order parts from them again. Usually if we order parts it's because we need them. read more

SHAWNA is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I went in to buy coolant and a filter. She assisted me with both and evening gave me information on how to put the coolant in. Unfortunately I did not put the coolant in the right place and she was so kind to follow me to a body shop to have the fluid flushed out of my brake fluid and also drove me home. Talking about an AMAZING associate. Autozone is very lucky to have you. Thank you SO SO much! She made a bad situation out to be a happy ending. read more

I'm in Tracy for work from Las Vegas. While driving up here the interior light in my vehicle started flickering. I stopped by here to have my alternator and battery tested. The manager Chris was more than helpful with testing my battery and my alternator, which both tested good and made suggestions on what my problem could be. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and I really appreciated his help. Thanks again. read more

Wow!!! That all I can say about this place. Bad very slow in service and they don't do really help I will never come here again. Been an Auto Zone customer since they opened and it depends which store you go to is questionable in service and knowledge. I brought my battery for my RV which is hardly use and left uncharged to see if they can give it a little charge so I can start it up. I checked battery before going there with a volt meter and the guy told I will take 45 min. I came back 1:30 hours later and I was told my battery did not except charge, it's bad. So I took it home and check it with the volt meter again and it read the same as if it was never charged. So I went to get a battery charger from a different store and hook it up and now my battery is fully charge and holding. This is just bad specially when they Amazon and other competition. Good job only loosing another loyal customer of 20 yrs! read more

Needed starter it was my first time got great help from Sunny he's the man He makes you feel welcome and

My husband bought a battery from there a few years ago for my car. Unfortunately the battery just died and since I didn't have the paperwork I had to call to find out where it came from. I was on hold for 15 minutes and finally gave up. Since the lady at O'Reilly was nice enough to tell me that the brand of battery came from Autozone I decided to just go in and take my chances. First off .. exactly how do they pick the managers? The one I met told me in order to check my battery I had to bring it in myself (disconnect and all ..) because his machine was out and didn't know when the next one was coming .. needless to say I was in shock, I don't know how to do this .. thankfully J'hon came out and said that he would do it for me and bring it in to test it out. Not only did J'hon make me feel better about my crappy week, he made this whole experience worth the time. He pulled the battery (with ease), brought it in, tested it, found I was under warranty and replaced it with a new one. The whole time never once complaining or acting as if it wasn't his job. I'd say he went out of his way to make sure I'd come back. If you ever need anything there see J'hon .. he'll help you with a smile, a joke and make you feel at ease. As for the manager he needs some customer service classes. Thank you J'hon you saved my day!!! read more

Wow such horrible customer service. No hi no smile. Not a single care given. Employees look like they hate working there.
