We needed windshield wipers. One of ours broke. The kind customer service representatives at this location found the product for our vehicle. Better yet, they determined that the clip was in fact not broken. It had come undone and flipped over and that is why the wiper would not attach. I went in to get a replacement bulb for a break light and new windshield wipers to start the rainy season and I was greeted immediately by Rae who helped find everything that I needed! I had my 2 year old daughter with me and she even chatted with her a bit even giving her a bracelet she walked me outside and installed the wipers for me and though she couldn't help with the break light (weird way of getting my light cover off) her professionalism, knowledge and readiness to help was second to none! The sign on the door says "For the safety of our customers and AutoZoners, please wear a mask." So I go in wearing my mask. None of the 3 "AutoZoners" were wearing masks and their was no shield between them and me at the counter. Must be an anti-mask business as Shasta County slips into the Purple Zone. I ran into battery trouble before i left ohio on a a trIp home to CA so i wenr to Autozone and spent 125 on a new battery. 3 days into the drive i woke up in Nowhere Nebraska with a dead battery. An 85 dollar jump later i drove to Autozone and after discussion on the battery (no joy in getting it replaced i spent 85 on a jump box. I tried to return it today an again , no joy. Their customer service rep must have gotten my email wrong. Worse they made me feel like a criminal for trying. i am 52, recently disabled chef and have never returned anything besides food and presents. Stopped by to make a quick pick up but ended up leaving the store because there were multiple people not wearing masks and no one in the store was asking people to wear them or giving them masks to wear. It was really uncomfortable to be in an indoor space with so many unmasked people in the middle of a pandemic. read more

Robert, an employee at the Churn Creek Auto Zone in Redding, was so helpful. Needed a new battery in the midst of the Covid panic and this store was the only place in town that carried the type needed for a KIA Sorento. Customer service is spotty. Sometimes good. Sometimes not. I don't mind you a answering the phone in the middle of helping me, but stopping my transaction to help them - when I had been waiting, AND we were already in the middle of a transaction - not cool. It actually wouldn't of been that big of a deal if it was quick... But it wasn't LOL. I don't think I'm being picky, but 18 minutes to return something when there was only one person in line and you had just finished with them when I walked in. Finally I just asked the guy next to him, which was standing there gabbing with a customer, if he could do the return for me. Which of course he could lol... But me standing there for two minutes shy of 20 minutes obviously didn't seem to bother anybody Hahaha. Love it! AND THATS WHY THERES AMAZON ;) read more

This store recently underwent some modifications that in my opinion really improved it. Previously I had avoided it due to issues with the unorganized process for paying and the poor service. Don't know if it was new management or what, but both have improved to the point where it's now my favorite local store. Keep up the good work guys and you'll continue to see my smiling face whenever I need auto parts. read more

I went into Autozone because I was passing by and needed some 5-30 oil for my truck. I bought 5 quarts and paid by credit card. The woman who checked me out said, wait, I have to run it again because it didn't go through. It obviously had gone through as the cash register completed the transaction, though no receipt was printed out, but I didn't ask for one. She said no, it had not gone through. I gave her my card again. she ran it through and I said now check it. No its fine, she said. Later I got my credit card statement, and it shows two $25.76 charges back to back on that same day. I called. They said you have to come in in person. Nuts to that its a 100 mile round trip. I said check your records. They couldn't be bothered and wouldn't let me mail in the records. Never going back there. What ever happened to customer service? PRETTY BAD. They did tell me that the woman who helped me was from another store just in on that day. I'm not spending two hours on the road or two hours dealing with contesting a credit card charge. Suggest you not give them the business since they'll give you the runaround if you have a problem. Unfortunately the left hand and right hand at this store have no communication skills at all. Ordered a part recently and paid for it. Was told it would be here in 1 or 2 days. Ok. They tell me no core, don't need the old part and after nearly 400 dollars paid for it, now they tell me they don't get these parts, they need the old part and send in for repairs, One or two week turn around. Nearly 400 for a repair???? WTH? This was not the discussion at time of order. Nothing was mentioned to me about a repair, rebuild or send out etc. I was informed I paid for a part and it would be one or two days to get it. NOW they tell me a whole different story. They are willing to refund my money, how about my time and my trip of over 100 miles!! The car is broke down and needs to be moved. This is an abomination. Tell the truth people or get out of business! Don't treat customers like this. I will never recommend them to anyone! This is such a disappointment to me and don't want others to suffer the same consequence ! read more
