We go back inside and he says he will call me with an answer to my problem and give me a quote on the fix. Pricing was spot on for the quality of work preformed. My…read moreusual service spot (Cape Auto) was completely slammed, and I'm not about to take any of my Jeeps to Adams (crappy work, suspect they replace things don't need to be replaced, over charge). So that left me with one option, repair it myself. I'm very mechanically inclined, and used to do all my own auto work, but in my older years it's just a bit more difficult to get it done like I used too. Had to replace the radiator fan (after replacing the relays and those weren't the problem). No one had an OEM fit replacement, and Jeep dealer said it would take more than a week (plus I would have to pay upfront $400). Decided to give Napa a try. Sure enough they had an aftermarket, OEM fit, replacement fan in stock.... at their DC location. No worries. They got in the next day. However, they ordered the wrong one for that location, it was a single speed fan, not HD cooling (2 speed). Counter guy was very apologetic, he thought he had requested the HD fan, but had clicked on the standard one. These mistakes happen. Got the fan next day, $150. Less than half what Jeep wanted for a Mopar branded part, which in all likelihood Napa and Mopar brand came off the same assembly line.
