I was referred to the Jeff Barnes Auto Shop through clients on the Nextdoor App. Mr. Barne's associate ( name , don't recall) evaluated the issue and offered me access to the bay Area, to view the problem first hand, while car was still on the lift. My cost for repair changed drastically ~ it went from an immediate $600.00 (according to dealership) to a $49.00 charge by Barnes Auto Shop. Simply incredible!!!! Since my initial visit, not only have I continued to use Jeff Barnes, but have also referred satisfied family members!

He quoted over $9,000 including the engine. Had a Cashiers check for $10,000 in my hand. I set up a time for them to come pick up my truck 3 SEPERATE TIMES they canceled twice. Now the 3rd time I told them Im not gonna be home and I take care of my parents they are both disabled, so no one will be able to come out and talk to you. The key will be sitting on the front seat of the truck when you get here, and I left. JEFF BARNES HIMSELF CAME AND PULLED HIS ASS INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND HELD HIS HAND ON THE HORN BLASTING IT LIKE HE WAS SOME HIGH SCHOOL BOY COMING TO PICKUP SOME TAIL FOR THE EVENING AND WHEN NO ONE CAME OUTSIDE ON THE 4TH HORN BLAST HE LEFT..... HE LEFT. And I know this because Jeff Barnes himself told me when I called later that afternoon to see why my truck was still there. "I HONKED THE HORN NO ONE CAME OUTSIDE" yeah Jeff my parents are disabled like I stated before you came over, did you go knock on the door like a civilized business owner? No? Well then Id say you're bad at your job and also a bit not bright. Then I said regardless if anyone came out I also said the key was in the front seat so youd still be able to tow it, the truck was sitting right in the middle of the driveway all you had to do was back your truck up and take it. "WELL I DIDNT SEE NO KEY" I went and took a picture of it and texted it to him. Never got a reply. So I took my Cashiers Check, supplied my own engine, took the truck and engine to I Fix Fords guy in Fuquay, he got my truck in that week and fixed for only $2,800 so I ended up saving close to $4,000. So I will never use Jeff Barnes again complete nightmare and dude acts old and pissed off like he wants to retire but cant afford to, NOT MY PROBLEM. Oh the Diesel mechanic they referred me to for my F-250 who use to work for them tried to scam me when he tried to fix my other truck His name was Daniel Duncan. COMPLETE FAILURE EVEN THEIR OWN FORMER EMPLOYEES SCAM CUSTOMERS. Trash place.

I went to the Holly Springs NC location on Saturday 12/14 at approx 5:50 because my battery was acting up again (wouldn't start and then would). This is not the first time it's done this and sadly I bought the gold less than 2 yrs ago so should be under warranty. I walk in and the guy is watching videos on his phone eating a microwave dinner. He said he would test but wouldn't replace the battery if needed since it was dark out. Ok so he tests it and says the battery reads fine. I go to start it and nothing. I go back in and he jumps it and fine. He then offers for me to go home and take the battery out and bring it back so they can perform a 1 hr test. If the battery is defective they can replace as under warranty the next day. Yeah that's not going to work. I drove less than a half mile to O'Reilly and they changed me to a new battery in 5 minutes and sure enough I'm not having any issues. Moral of the story is I was always loyal to this store but it seems to be slipping. Really annoyed as I had to buy a new battery that should've been under warranty but they wanted to make it really inconvenient and obnoxious. Will not be going back for any auto needs on any of our cars. O'Reilly and Autozone are both within a mile and O'Reilly seemed more than happy to change a battery at night.

Picked my car up on Saturday and I noticed a smell. On Sunday I attempted to clean my car out thinking I may have left something that soured or spoiled in it after the accident. That is when I noticed that my back seat and floor was soaking wet. I immediately notified Caliber thinking they left a window open when we had that huge rain storm. To which I'm told no they didn't but maybe a seal. Bring it back we will look. I bought it in today, it's still wet, it hasn't rained since I got the car back and they are saying they seals are fine. So my car is still wet and mildew smelly. There was no attempt to make it right and at the end of the day, they had the vehicle it happened while in their possession, but I am now having to take it to get detailed/cleaned which is an expense to me. I'm sooo not happy right now!

Repair cost: $12,000+. Upon pickup, the front bumper was found to be improperly secured and required a return visit to correct. December 2024 -- Vehicle returned after a transmission "Refresh" ($8,088). Within 2 miles of leaving the shop, the transmission was not shifting correctly. The truck was returned immediately. January 2025 -- Vehicle returned to me in drivable condition. This is the in-service date for the refreshed transmission. January 2026 -- Exactly 12 months from the in-service date, the transmission again stopped shifting properly under identical usage conditions. The shop declined to repair the unit under any warranty or goodwill provision. For context, two prior issues were resolved without escalation: -- A passenger side mirror was damaged during a replacement service. The parts supplier where I purchased the mirrors honored their warranty and I completed the reinstallation myself. -- A TPMS sensor was improperly installed with a new set of 4 tires purchase. Discount Tire diagnosed and corrected the issue at my expense. I did not raise either of those issues with the shop at the time. Given my history as a customer since 2018 and the total financial investment involved, you would think this place would be responsive. Avoid this place, integrity does exist here.

It's intimidating and immediately your stress levels go crazy. This is not my area of expertise but CDT Automotive changes all of that with how they treat you and communicate with you. They truly are the masters at giving great customer service. Details: They have a modern and super clean shop with a waiting area that is comfortable and CLEAN with a TV and good magazines. I was given a tour of the garage area and it's immaculate. All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. I had my brakes and rotors replaced and while I waited in the lobby was given all of the details, delivering on expectations from the start. I knew about how long it would take, next steps along the way, cost breakdown and AJ, the service manager, made me feel catered to. He even had lunch brought in while I waited. Above and beyond expectations on customer service. They wash your vehicle and place a snack and bottle of water with a coupon in your vehicle upon leaving. Amazing! Second visit: Had them complete my vehicle's routine maintenance and again, Bobby, AJ and staff were all there to greet me and again, exceeded my expectations. Due to the work I needed done I was going to be there for an extended amount of time. AJ hooked me up with a driver to drop me off and pick me up for lunch. Both of the guys driving me to and from were friendly and they both talked about how much they love working there. The entire vibe of the place is that the people there love the work they do and working there and it delivers in how they treat their customers. Compared to taking my vehicle to the dealership, cost is much better and overall customer service just beats anyone out there. They do great work, they meet and exceed expectations and ladies you can actually RELAX knowing you are in good hands, won't get talked down to, your questions will get answered honestly and with CARE. They work on both foreign and domestic vehicles. They have won me over and I wont take my vehicle anywhere else if I can help it.
