6 reasons for why I'll NEVER go anywhere else for my auto needs unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, and their names are (alphabetically): Kelly, Ken, Pablo, Sahmoi, Sam, and of course, last but NEVER least, Tafari! I've had to go into this particular AAP twice within the last couple of weeks, and regardless of who's working that day, ALL 6 of them have provided me (and other customers) with the utmost professional service and support, while also building a personal rapport with me, the customer. This is my favorite location. As you pull into the lot you can see cars lined up with their hoods open working on their vehicles. I have a lot of maintenance work done by my personal mechanic who works out of his driveway. I purchase the parts and he does the labor. I've been able to score some deals on parts by purchasing online and using my coupons. The staff here is friendly and they get you in and out. I purchase a battery today from Dwatiz A. (is what the receipt says), he gave me terminal protectors to go with the battery. Got home found out that I purchased the terminal protectors AND a 6-month extended warranty on the battery. Went back to the store, got a partial refund on the protectors that I didn't ask for(restocking fee?) and a refund on the extended warranty that I didn't ask for! I asked the girl handling the refund if it was standard practice to charge people behind their back for stuff they did not ask for or want. Her answer amazed me, she said that the way corporate is on them, it does happen. I will never return to advance auto! read more

If I could give them no star, I will. Today is 7/8/24. I went to advance auto parts to check my battery and he told me that the car need an alternator. I was like OK let's change the alternator. I bought the alternator from them and I went to the Mechanic to change it for me. After changing the alternator, we found out the problem is the battery. They diagnosed my vehicle incorrectly, so this bad diagnosis it cost me $500 to change the alternator. I went back to the store to talk to the manager and he told me that I'm sorry we can't do anything. You have to talk to the store manager or the corporate. I said you guys diagnosed my car so you are responsible about the issue. They said they couldnt help, gave me attitude. Please do not go there. They will screw you. read more

On the night 2-5-24 7pm I stopped here as my transmission was acting up and check engine light came on. The crew would not help me with the OBD scanner to see what check engine light code was. I asked for help on selecting the right transmissions fluid and after they got done playing around they told me they did not sell my kind. Really? you don't sell standard ATF automatic transmission fluid for a 2011 Mazda 3 ? So instead of dealing with these "people " any longer I called a ride to orileys where I purchased this exotic ATF fluid for my car so I could safely get it home. My advice is to stay away from this store if you are expecting any type of customer service. read more

Yep, like the others mention Advance Auto Parts does a really nice job with service. While the assortment is pretty much like any other auto parts store, the handful of times I've needed counter help it has been excellent! Tie in decent prices and a large assortment of pieces, parts, lubricants, and air fresheners and you'll pretty much have all your automotive needs covered here. The only downside to Advance Auto Parts is the run-down strip mall it's part of. Not very well-kept and yes, the parking lot is also an temporary garage with people working on their vehicles. Well, I needed a headlight for the wife's car. I went in there. They had the manual (to figure out what headlight I needed) conveniently located. I grabbed a piece of paper and went to the register. They guy said "Would you like this much better headlight for the same price?" I said "Yes!" I got a better headlight. I installed it. If you are a young female or honestly probably just female in general, avoid this location at all cost. The teenage boy with the big nose and scruffy beard didn't even give me the time of day. He asked me what kind of car I had and that's about as far as our conversation went. Had he had a little bit more customer service skills he would've talked to me and realized that I could give him all of the information that he was looking for rather than whispering to his coworker behind him for the answers. I was there to buy a battery, I did not need them to install it but he automatically assumed that that's what I needed instead of just asking me so now I'm on my way to a different auto parts store because I don't even want to waste my time or money there. Management- let's work on giving our new employees better training on customer service guidelines and how to talk to other people. This place is super sketch compared to other advance stores. I went there in the early morning to buy new spark plugs to change out and get a code readout. The guy assisting me had a friend hanging out in the store, and when I went to get the code read his friend got in my car and popped my hood without asking, then tried to change my plugs for me and charge me $40. The employee made no effort to serve my best interest and was probably in on the scheme. He had a sketch white van in the parking lot, and while I appreciate that he was trying to make a living it was totally unacceptable. read more

I visited this Advance Auto for a part about a week ago. It appeared that everybody else was extremely busy so I noticed a guy with an Advance Auto shirt on speaking Arabic with a guy in all black. It didn't seem like he was busy working considering he and the guy were laughing and hugging each other. So I approached him to ask for help. He (Salem or Samson I think the name tag said) seemed a little annoyed with me being as though I made the comment about being there 10 mins and getting no help while he seemed like the only person who was not busy. His attitude was so nasty that I made the comment that I should just go to Auto Zone hoping that he will get it together and he looked at me and said well I don't care go ahead to Auto Zone and walked away from me. So that is exactly what I did. I have used this Advance Auto for quite some time and I have never had a problem like this. But from now on I will be going to Auto Zone. read more

I had an AWESOME experience today and want to share it. KUDOS to Ms. April for her AWESOME customer service! I had a headlight out and an ignition light out.
