Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! Thanks honest automotive!

My car was immediately pulled into the service area. After that I waited for a while. A little over an hour. I'm use to a 20-30 minutes in and out. Several cars after me were finished way before mine (one having an inspection). No follow-ups during my wait. While I am appreciative of all the recommended maintenance services to keep my vehicle in good running conditions - the delivery of this report via email to me never happened. No estimates provided without me asking for the price of one specific part. The rep saying, oh very expensive....To me this tone came across as if a certain assumption was made on what's affordable. The communication was very odd to me if I came in only for a vehicle inspection. Had the report arrived via email as promised this experience would've been much better on my end. Lacked the promised email. No real value to report here inspections cost the same everywhere. They did not did not send over said report. Based on my experience, C&C wouldn't be at the top of my list for any of my vehicle repairs. Update 11/21/25: summary received a day after this review via email.

I have always debated coming back to this jiffy lube location. Sometimes I can get in and out and…read moreit is fine, other times it is an ordeal. It is one thing if it is busy and I have to wait -- no problem. However, I was there for 40 minutes already and the manager asked, without looking me in the eye, to back up to allow a car that just got there to get ahead of me in line. That is inexcusable, and treating another customer like they are not a priority although they patiently awaited their turn in line. Second, I have had consistent issues with the staff. There is one in particular who comes in to say I should purchase additional items or to let you know about the outcome of an inspection. He is unnecessarily snarky. If don't pass an inspection or don't purchase additional items aside from the oil change, don't tell me "You need to get out then." Thirdly, while services can be convenient, jiffy lube services are quite expensive. I don't drive anything luxurious, my car is over 20 years old, and I pay no less than $80 for an oil change. There are way more affordable shops that are equally as convenient. My recommendation would be to seek services elsewhere. I have given this jiffy lube several chances, and I am overall not happy with the customer service. Why come here to spend more and have unfriendly staff, when you an work with a nicer staff elsewhere for less? If this jiffy lube location comes across this review, please consider retraining your staff in matters of customer service. This would make a world of difference for your business.

As a woman, I can tell you there's no shortage of mechanics out there who will look at your car and…read morediagnose you with stuff you don't need just to charge you more. Clyde at Pass The Wrench doesn't do that. He's a fine young man who provides quality, affordable service. If the job isn't done that day, you pay him when it is. I seriously lucked out by asking on Reddit if anyone knew of a mobile mechanic that could come to our house and fix out Infiniti, someone recommended him. He answered his phone right away, listened to the issue, and came plenty prepared. Not only was he fantastic with the service he provided, he was able to get us discounts on the parts we needed, willing to work around us very close to Christmas (even offering to work ON Christmas), and it turns out he can do more than just cars. Since moving to NC, all we ever hear about is how everyone in this state has "A Guy" they know that can do fix-it/handy projects around the house. Clyde at Pass The Wrench happens to be That Guy for us now. It's rare you find someone that loves what they do and is willing to do good work at a good price without trying to swindle their customers for a quick buck. When it comes to local businesses, Pass the Wrench is exactly the sort of place I want my money going because the person running it happens to be just an all around good human. He might be based out of Raleigh, but he services all over and will come to you to fix your car. We're out in Clayton, and he came to us without issue. I will personally be recommending him to everyone I know.
