I purchased a 2024 Lincoln from AutoWorld of Conway in April 2022. From start to finish it was an excellent experience. We experienced a problem with the high-tech A/C control module. I contacted Andy and he arranged for me to bring it and see James Dean, Jr in service. James determined that the vehicle would best be diagnosed and repaired at an authorized Lincoln facility. We took the car to Beach Ford/Lincoln, who provided exellent service including a brand new courtesy car for five days. The Lincoln MKS is now operating great, we love it! Worst auto store and repair shop I have ever encountered. First, they hate notherners. But they are willing to take their money! They put 2 different bolts on the same control arm and the cedrtified mechanic from another repair shop said they put one in backwards. And that is why the car could not be aligned. As soon as 2 identical bolts were put in facing the same direction, the car was able to be adjusted on the alignment machine just fine! He could not believe what they did. You sold me a truck that didn't work after 12 miles of driving it. 12 miles. $1000 per mile. I paid a mechanic to take a look at it prior to buying and drive it around and he said it drove ok, but needed some work. I already budgeted 4k for this. It dying on the road after 12 miles is a sideshow compared to what happened next! Prior to the truck being shipped, and after I paid for the truck, the sales guy called and told me they were replacing the gas tank. Again--AFTER the check cleared they told me this. Sounded like a nice thing---ended up being something that could have killed me and my passengers. Their MECHANIC replaced the tank without replacing the correct lines and ensuring they were actually attached correctly-- and the vehicle was leaking gas and I could have DIED and other people with me or on the road. You essentially sold me an IED. The tow truck driver told me "they sold you a bomb". I am 100% FINE WITH 1-12. 100%. I knew I still had 4k left to put in the truck. But leaking gas because your people failed miserably to do the right thing? I don't feel safe any longer. They offered me a beer and $200 for the IED or Bomb they sold me and then tried to blame it on the guy who checked it out. The gas issue is 100% on your mechanic. I've been living a mile or so from this place and figured I'd give them a chance. For the first 3-1/2 years all was fine until recently. I had made an appointment for my wife's car for an oil change. I had neglected to tell him at the time of the appointment that I wanted a tire rotation and need one tire that was losing air looked at as my wife and daughter were taking a 1400 mile trip. He apologized and said that since they set a standard time for this oil chance and it wasn't scheduled for the rotation or tire repair it couldn't be done but he had an appointment next Tuesday. Figuring they were doing well as a company and he can accommodate us before she leaves next Wednesday there was no foul. Tuesday arrives and she brings her car down and they rotate the tires and go to check her out when she finds out that the rotation was all they did. When questioned, she was told that since it wasn't scheduled that way the tire, which they looked at and found a nail, couldn't be done since it wasn't scheduled that way. "WHAT"? My wife said, " we stood right there and told him the rotation and the tire inspection and repair. The bitch behind the desk said sorry it wasn't scheduled. I called weeks ago to ask about a/c service I was told $150.00, did not make appointment yet because I was too busy. called yesterday to make appointment and confirm cost I was told $139.00, great, that seems inline with what I was told weeks ago. Just purchased a 1972 Corvette Stingray from the Classic Car division of Auto World of Conway and I couldn't be happier! After dealing with scammers and people claiming to have 100 vettes in their warehouse(all pigs with lipstick) the vette was everything they said it was, they were straight up honest about the good and bad, then took care of the bad at no extra cost. Kept me informed on the cars prep every step of the way up to transport date which they set up, all I had to do was wait and man was it worth it. Patience is key when dealing with these classics. I am advising anyone thinking of buying a car through this establishment to RUN the other way!! They cannot be rated. They sold me a car that had pre-exisiting engine issues and left me on the side of the road. I just paid my second payment on a Cadillac that I do not trust and it is within the dealership's 90 day warranty window and they refuse to make it right. I just want my money back so that I can go somewhere else and get a car without issues and they refuse to be a reputable place and fix the problem. But, they did tell me that I could trade the car in on something else.....how nice of them, so that they can low ball me and put me upside down on a loan and of course make more money off of me. I came to them with a positive equity car that was in phenomenal shape and now I am looking at going upside down on a vehicle because they sold me a car with previous engine issues!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! The owner continues to cite and reference the fact that a sensor was replaced by the Cadillac dealership and so my vehicle is fixed, but it is so far from being fixed it is not funny. Flow Cadillac fixed a sensor in the exhaust manifold and stated that they have no idea why I got an error message stating that the engines power was reserved. He has put that in writing as well. He also told your service manager that as well. So, you are saying because I have a warranty still that I should go pick the car up and risk being stranded on the side of the road again? Would you ask your daughter or grand daughter to do the same? I think not! I have proof that these engine issues were preexisting and you did not divulge the information to me. During the previous time the car was at a dealership in April and May, it stated in the report that, " the GM is starting to realize that they have a problem with this engine." This was after the car had been taken back repeatedly which spanned a total of 10 days because of engine issues. Your stating that I am lucky that I still have a warranty to correct any drive train issues I may have. Who says that? The car is still in the 90 day warranty period that your business states that they stand behind. Is this how you stand behind your business by citing that I have plenty of drivetrain warranty left? This car should not have been put on a lot to be sold to anyone else, and more importantly, AUTOWORLD should of had enough decency not to sell the vehicle to anyone. If I could give this zero stars I would. They sent me a marketing scratch off and after scratching everything off it said I won $1000. We called them to make sure this wasn't a scam and they told us all we had to do was show up and turn our ticket in and we'd get our reward. We double checked with them asking if anything else needed to get done and they assured us that we got lucky and won the $1000 prize. We showed up, they took our ticket from us and took all of our information down. After taking our information and our ticket, they told us that we actually didn't win and admitted to us that only certain winning tickets actually get paid. They showed us a list of ticket numbers and said that our winning ticket serial number had to also match a number on their "winner board". The whole thing is a marketing scheme. The whole time we were there they pestered us about buying a new car. We drive 30 mins out of our way to go get what was assured to us over the phone just to be caught in a scam. I mean, it's BUY HERE / PAY HERE. You wouldn't be here if you had anywhere else to go. Let me break it down for you. AS IS means exactly that. Don't rely on anything they tell you about the condition of the car. I made the mistake of believing the sales guy when he said that my 2002 Mini Cooper was in workable condition. APR is insane, Cooper was a polished piece of sh$& that cost me thousands in repairs after a few thousand miles (conveniently outside of the added warranty). Whomever did the repairs in house to get the thing off the lot clearly had no clue what they were doing or simply didn't care. You are here because you royally screwed up your credit. Do yourself a favor and get something domestic (because the repairs (and there WILL BE repairs) cost less. Build your credit by making timely payments and in a couple of years, look back on this place and all that are like it as exactly what they are, a hard lesson learned. There is no greater incentive for making smarter financial decisions than being broken down on the side of the road with nowhere to turn. They get two stars because they have a lot of inventory. I had an absolutely horrific experience at Autoworld of Conway. They sold me a car that had so much rust on it that if I were to get in a crash it would crumble and I would die. There is no doubt in my mind they sold this to me knowing it wasn't a safe car. Fortunately I had my suspicions about the car and I got it inspected after I bought it. It is then that I found out yes this is a bad car it would not pass inspection. There's a law in South Carolina that you can't sell a car that wouldn't pass the inspection. As long as you figure this out within 30 days you are entitled to a full refund. So I did get a full refund. I feel like an idiot for not getting that car inspected before I paid $5,500 for it. Please do not buy a car from this place they are evil they are greedy they don't care about you. If l had not caught this disaster l would be driving around a piece of garbage car and I would be out $5,500 and I would have been devastated...That's a lot of money I'm a single parent.
