While vacationing in Myrtle Beach I became aware of a potentially very serious malfunction with my engine.. I called my mechanic at home, but after describing the problem to him, and since I was 8 hours away, he said I should take the car or someone in Myrtle Beach, either to fix it or make sure it was safe to drive. I chose Paramount because they had such great reviews, but also b cause the mechanics were certified. Well, I absolutely made the right choice! I went in without an appointment, and the owner said he would try to fit me in the next day. I replied I didn't mind waiting in case there was the slightest chance they could look at it earlier. The waiting area was very clean and quite comfortable and the office manager was both efficient and courteous and extremely pleasant. I was reading my book, and when they were sending someone out for lunch, the owner asked if I would like to order something, too. Bleu, the office manager, invited me to ride along. I felt like I was visiting relatives rather than waiting in an auto repair shop! But the best part was after I finished a delicious lunch, they had managed to fit my car in and give me a diagnosis and assurance that it was safe to make the 8 hour drive home. If they treat strangers this well, I can only imagine how they treat their regular customers that they must rely on to return. Paramount gets an A+ all around! read more

My vehicle stopped running in a traffic lane on RT 9 in Longs, SC on Sunday 9-18-2022. SC Highway Patrol was terrific and pushed my vehicle off the road, no thanks to the hundreds of motorists who passed by during the hour until SC HP arrived. AAA arrived and determined vehicle had something seriously wrong and recommended Steel City Service. Luckily, my vehicle was at the traffic light near their facility. I left my key and a note in the drop box. Julie (and Ken) was beyond helpful, friendly, and concerned. Julie phoned Monday morning with the bad news about my vehicle and that a dealer would need to repair the engine. Long story short, I had the vehicle towed to Wake Forest, NC near my home for repairs. Julie followed up a few days later interested in how things were progressing. I had my light knocked out and a huge dent and scrape when I brought my car to these nice folks. Not only did they treat me and my friend amazing they gave me a super reasonable price to fix it and a short time of a three day estimate time. They finished it in less than a day. Paramount were suggested to me by my brother who has all his company vehicles serviced here. I had a slow leak in my tire and was due to drive back to Indiana( a 12 hour drive) the next day. They saw me right away without an appointment and told me that my tire had a slash in it. They put on the temp tire and advised not to drive very far on it.They immediately ordered a new tire and it got put on early the next day so that we could continue our return journey as planned.
