I went in Saturday and worked with Ryan who set me up with great tires and excellent pricing. Brought my car in for my appointment at 10AM. Was out by 10:59AM. Just amazing. Had a team of four installers each doing one tire. It looked like a NASCAR pit stop. They did a great job and the car drives beautifully. Needed to purchase a spare tire for our Class C motorhome and after some research I was able find that Discount Tire was able to order what I needed. Since the tire size is not a standard size they did not maintain inventory at the local store. Placing the order at the store was easy and the staff was helpful and friendly, even going out to our Rig to verify the tire size before entering the order. The tire order arrived at the local store within days and a friendly call to my phone let me know it was ready for pickup. During pickup they delivered the tire out to and loaded it in my SUV. Since this tire will be strictly an unmounted spare for our RV, I did not have any mounting, balancing or installation performed. If I needed that work, this location does not have the lifts or ability for vehicles of our size. This is unfortunate as the team at this location is on their game. Not only did they find the issue, they repaired my tire and charged me nothing, citing customer safety over profit. They did all this in approx 20 minutes. They also did the same thing to an elderly gentleman ahead of me. I have to say, if they do all this for an out of state person, I can only imagine how they treat their local customers ! Several years ago I purchased a full set of tires and paid for the warranty so that if anything happened (not mechanical) they would replace the tire for the life of it. Fast forward to today, I have a new vehicle that's never been to this shop. I was shocked when I was told there was no charge for them to put my spare on after I picked up a large bolt. I figured that was just a service when you bought their warranty. Kudos! You'll continue to be my "go to". They couldn't plug the tire since it's in the sidewall. While on vacation I found my front tire had a plug in it right on the outer tread. The heat and long drive started to wear it out. As soon as I saw it mid drive I knew I was going to get tires once we were down there! I searched around and found a nice set off a local! Once at the facility the manager was very nice and said he could mount and balance all 4 for me! After about 30 minutes he came and let me know the tires I bought were at a 111 rating and my truck specific calls for a 112! Even though mine were LT tires the truck wouldn't handle like it should! I dropped the ball on that one! So he showed me what he had in stock and made me a pretty great deal on tires! We were leaving about an hour later and the truck drove so much better and smoother! Not to mention we get free rotation and flat repair for life on these tires! Very friendly and affordable store if you're on a budget and are on vacation or just a local looking for an honest shop! My 70 year old mother took her suv here to be serviced. A $100.00 dollar bill was stolen out of her glove box. The technician that took the $100.00 dollar bill was kind enough to replace it with a $1.00 dollar bill. I was out of town on vacation and got a flat tire. I went to Discount Tire and was helped by Brent. Brent informed me that the tire would have to be replaced due to the excessive hole caused by running over a pair of needle nose pliers. He also let me know the tire would be prorated as to not having to pay full price. Thanks for the honesty, as I was not aware. I dropped tire off, and they it ready to go in an hour. I swung back by, and they got me right in and mounted tire back on the truck and even put my spare tire back underneath the truck. In and out in 30 minutes. Great job, great customer service. Brought car because of tire low pressure warning. Agents serviced vehicle immediately and replaced locking nuts at no charge because key was missing. Tire pressure was faulty due to nail puncture and was fixed within minutes. All personnel courteous, explaining clearly procedure, car was ready less than 20 minutes after I checked in, even without an appointment, at 4pm on a Saturday. Took my car here due to having a tire that would continuously go flat. They said they took it off to look at and and found nothing wrong and had no idea what could be wrong. I took my car to a different shop and within 10 mins they let me know my rim was cracked and that they weren't quite sure how that could've been missed if the rim was removed and looked at. Downgraded from a 5 to a 3 After tire replacement my vehicle had a significant pull to the right. I call back to Discount Tire the next day. The salesman said, "it is what it is and we can't help you." He didn't offer to take a look or have me bring it back in for review. Large tire chain with on-line tire ordering and appointment scheduling got me in and out in less than a hour. No hassles, no gimmicks and no added extras. Staff were friendly and personable. Store was open and airy with plenty of distance seating for those with COVID fears. The only drawback is they do not do alignments, which is needed to get longevity and value out of your tires. I am surprised that the staff don't recommend this when walking customers thru their departure paperwork. In June, we had all 4 tires and rims replaced. We had a problem with the car shimming while driving on the highway. So we bought it in here for a 12:15 appointment to have some tire bands put on (the were supposed to be installed with the new tires). It is now 1:36 and they are just starting to work on the car. I woke up to a flat tire on my Chevy Silverado. A nail or screw was visible in the tread, about 1" from the sidewall. I removed the tire and put on the spare. I went online to see who had the exact same tire in my area. My tires are new and I didn't want a mismatched set. I found the tire at Discount Tire for $186, installed. I called to make an appointment and they scheduled me for the following morning. No waiting for hours or even days to get an appointment!! I took the tire to Discount Tire and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. I told the technician that i was there to have my tire replaced. He offered to inspect it first. He said that the screw was in the tire at an angle facing away from the sidewall and that he'd like to see if a plug would be suitable. I told him to take a look and that if was not repairable to replace the tire. I left and would await a call. Discount Tire called me about 45-minutes later and said the tire was repaired and the truck was ready for pick up. I arrived to find the tire plugged, mounted, balanced and reinstalled. The spare was cleaned and rehung under the truck. The charge for all of the work and the plug was $0 (as is their policy). I could not have been more pleased From the online search, booking the appointment, staff friendliness, service, honesty and quality of work...my experience was flawless. Thank you Discount Tire. Discovered I had a screw in my right rear tire on a Sunday evening and was heading back to Alabama on Monday. Discount Tire was AMAZING! I arrived at 8am and was about 10 people deep in line. I was afraid it was going to be a long, drawn out morning. Instead, I was in, out and on the road by 9:20am after they plugged the tire! I noticed some unevenness in the sidewall of one of my Goodyear endurance tires I had purchased one month ago for my fifth wheel travel trailer. After a camping trip I called them to see if they were still open and could check it and said as long as I arrived before six o'clock they could check it. They explained that unevenness that bulged in was no problem but bulging out was. they did find out bulging in two tires on the back and said they should be replaced. Fortunately they had two new tires in stock and replaced them for me only charging for the installation cost. The whole process took only about 30 minutes and even though I arrived at 5:45 they stayed to finish the job. I was very pleased and wouldn't shop for tires anywhere else. read more
