I've been going to tire world for years for car repairs and used tires . They always have the most reasonable prices . They are always very very busy . They have a small waiting room and if you pull in for tire repair like nails and screws in your tires from all the construction everywhere they can patch or plug your tire it's around 20 bucks . Got a used tire there last week for 50 had my car towed there several times . I would recommend them . It's not a fancy place and sometimes there are so many people there getting work done that there's no room in their parking lot, But I do trust them and as a local would recommend them! read more

I have been coming here for 5 years without a problem whatsoever. They are kind , thoughtful, and always make me happy. This week I took my car to them and they fixed it but by human error I wasn't happy. They invited me back, did a fantastic job and service and when I drove away.... After today I will not be using Tire World ever again. I use to give them all my business but never again. I bought a used tire (boyfriends truck he had a stroke) went to have it put on and found out it was 20 years old and had a slit in the side wall. That was 40 bucks down the drain. It was sold as is. They just did the wrong thing. They need to check used tires before selling them. read more

I highly recommend Tire World! We found a screw in one of our brand new trailer tires and took the tire to them. It was close to the outside wall and the kind guy took it and pulled it out. It ended up just being the head of the nail and wasn't leaking so he sent us on our way no charge. I went into tire world on the 31st of August 2020 to get steel rims and new tires for my truck . They didn't have rims and were going to look for some for me and contact me when they found them. I had them install a used tire on my truck until they could find rims. 2 weeks later while driving on 9 their tire tread exploded and destroyed the front of my truck . I tried dealing nicely with Ryan and give him the opportunity to fix this especially after I found out from two other tire shops that the tire they installed was 23 years old and dry rotted and should have never been installed on a vehicle. Ryan seemed cooperative told me to bring my truck down so he could look at it, I drove for an hour to get there, he looked at it and seemed reluctant to want to make the situation right. Kept asking me what I wanted to to? I said I want my truck fixed.either fix my truck or we got to go to court and he said then go to court and walked away I would not recommend this place to anybody I'm attaching pictures of what the tire they sold me and they installed did to my vehicle. Okay I was desperate for 4 tires and had a lot to do,I calldd Ryan at Tire World and he said I can get what you want and have me out quick. The place wasn't too pretty he said the tires would be there in a half hour and have my car on the lift by then, in exactly one half hour and my car was up tires off and they were working on balancing my new tires. Do not go to the shop.!!! I brought my car there for a simple repair antifreeze hose and when I got the car back the AC didn't work and there were numerous noises that were never there before and there was a problem with the AC like I said, so I brought it back and they gave me an estimate of $600 to fix the AC that they broke.! The mechanic working there who is working on my car look like he was on meth. I had my wallet locked in the glove compartment and it was rifled through. Everything was rummage through in the glove compartment in my wallet was all rifled through things were put back upside down like my license and certain cards were put where they weren't supposed to be so it was obvious to me that somebody that worked there. I must've unlocked the glove compartment and went through my wallet, so please do not go to the shop. They are very unreliable and thieves very an honest, the definition of a crooked mechanic. read more

Been coming here for awhile. Bought a couple sets of tires. Been bringing all the cars here for maintenance. I always bring my own supplies and parts. Always been easy to deal with. Now today I brought a couple of quarts of Honda pump fluid for the rear diff in the kid's car. Thought I'd have them go through it before he leaves for Vanderbilt tomorrow. The fluid swap in the rear diff is: 1 remove both plugs and drain. 2 reinstall the bottom plug and fill. 3 reinstall the top plug. Pretty damned easy. 5 minute job. After I went through my list I asked: hey, could you drain the diff for $20? The answer was sort of a surprise. No way... the book says $35. I said it's two plugs and two quarts of fluid. He repeated; no, the book says $35. Firehouse Brothers just went out of business down the street and it looks like someone's trying g to make a go of the location as a shop. I might go check them out. I only come to this place because I believe in supporting my local peeps. If that doesn't mean anything here, I'll move along. read more

In January, Tire World replaced both of my rear brake calipers, brake pads, and brake shoes. Less than a week later, the rear brakes were making noises. Took it back to Tire World a second time, they inspected it, and told me they found that their mechanic installed a caliper incorrectly and the brake pad and shoe were worn down, from just a few days of driving. They supposedly replaced all parts again. 6 months later, end of June and my brake fluid light is on. Checked the levels, and it was almost empty! Took it to a reputable franchise in NC (Firestone) and they discovered some interesting facts. The rear caliper was old and rusted (after just 6 months? no way a brand new part was installed in January!), and had been overtightened, and had evident tool marks that would have come from being removed and reinstalled. The caliper was damaged and caused a slow leak of brake fluid which could have led to complete brake failure - a very serious matter. The caliper had to be replaced - it was visibly damaged. From the Firestone location in NC, I called Tire World, finally got Ryan to take my call. Told him where I was, reminded him I had just been there twice in January for new calipers/brake pads/brake shoes, and what the Firestone mechanics showed me about the caliper. Ryan at Tire World was offered the opportunity but refused to speak to the mechanic at Firestone, refused to video chat while my car was up on the lift at Firestone to show him the shoddy work that Tire World had done, and refused any further discussion. He denied responsibility, and said I could bring it back to Tire World and they would look at it, but after TWO trips there for the same issue and they botched it both times, who in their right mind would drive from NC back to SC to give them a THIRD shot at working on their brakes? Not me. I declined to bring my car in a third time to Tire World and asked Ryan to cover my bill at Firestone to replace the caliper. At that, he quickly became belligerent, insulting, and told me I could take them to court. He hung up on me, and I called back to speak with the office clerk. I actually had a civil conversation with her, relaying my shock and disappointment in their manager's unprofessional behavior, and restating my position that I wanted them to make this right. She said she would speak to Ryan and she did call me back while I was still at the Firestone dealership having my caliper replaced. She told me that Ryan would agree to reimburse me for a new caliper, but that he refused to pay my entire Firestone bill for labor and parts for a new caliper. She gave me their fax number at Tire World and asked me to fax over my bill from Firestone - which I did, from the fax machine at the Firestone dealership, but to date, I have received no reimbursement from Tire World, and I have not contacted them again. Everyone makes mistakes, but Tire World does not want to hear or see evidence of their poor work, does not make things right, and is quick to insult the customer and quick to throw out statements like "well take us to court". Being a small company, there is no corporate office, no oversight, no recourse for a customer except to file a claim in small claims court, which would cost more than the money lost to poor work. I suspect they know this and bank on it. Beware - hit or miss / shoddy work, shady business practices, and rude treatment of customers when confronted and asked to make it right. read more

The employees and mechanics are very sketchy. They stole one of my mother's tires (that they were supposed to rotate bc she had just bought two new ones) and when she confronted Ryan (one of the employees of this wonderful family owned business) about it he became very angry, cursed at her and threw the tire in the back of her truck and on top of that it wasn't the right tire or even the right size! Needless to say, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else! read more
