Was able to get car in right away and the people were friendly and knowledgeable..... have an extended warranty and they wanted to charge fees they shouldn't be. I even called the extended warranty place and they said no they can't charge. Even though it was only a couple dollars for this and a couple dollars for that so not a huge deal. Was extremely unhappy with the service "performed" by AUTOTECH on my vehicle 8 months ago. I had some work done to my car today at my new repair shop and found out that the work Autotech said they had done 8 months ago, in writing even, was untrue. 'Brakes', 'Diagnostics and repair', 'Engine Mount' ... this is what I was told was repaired and it was all a lie. 28 days after my repair appointment, my car began running poorly again and was basically told that "I drive too many miles and put a lot of wear and tear on my car." Basically they charged me for work they stated they had done, I paid them over $1100.00 believing they had done the work, and was shown to me today by my new mechanic that the repairs they said they had performed is not consistent with his findings based on the parts he had to replace. In other words, I WAS SCAMMED BY THIS SHOP. My recommendation about this place is .... stay far, far away. Any place else HAS to be better and much more honest than this place. A definite 2 thumbs down. read more

Damaged my vehicle, was unable to fix it, then refused to cover the repair costs. Took my MINI Cooper in for a water pump replacement (~$700). Unable to consistently start my car after getting it back. Had my car towed back the next day to see what the problem was. It started for them and they claimed it was the immobilizer. Once back home, it would not start again. Had it towed to Autotech a second time. After 4 days, they could not determine the problem and admitted that they did not have the proper tools to diagnose. They recommended I get it towed to a dealer. Had it towed to another mechanic that was able to identify the problem: the wiring harness that passes over the water pump was crushed (tool marks pressed into the insulation) and torn. All of the wires were bright copper (i.e. no dust or oxidation = new damage). There has been no other engine bay repairs for over 18 months. I presented documentation to the owner, Tony Solorio, including my request that he refund the original Autotech repair costs, which totaled less than the harness repair and towing fees. Tony claimed that the wires appeared to have been chewed and that there was no way Autotech could have been responsible for the damage. He refused my offer to look at the harness in person. Autotech has opted to allow third party arbitrators to decide. read more

I started going to this shop when they were located on Blaine. Back then, I would have given them 5 stars. After their move, I took my truck in for a broken head gasket and that was when all the trouble began. My engine kept on stalling rendering my truck completely unreliable. When I brought it back several days later, I spoke with the owner Tony. As it turned out, the mechanic that worked on it went to jail right after I picked up my truck. Tony's exact words were "it is not Autotech's fault since the mechanic no longer works here." How is it that Autotech is not reasponsible for the repairs done when I wrote a check to Autotech for over a thousand dollars? This occured several years ago when I was a student and had I known better, I would have reported this to the BBB. It took several hundred dollars and another shop to undo the bad work done here. Good and honest mechanics exist out there and I am now very careful about where I go because of this experience. Maybe they still have some quality mechanics now, but I doubt Tony has changed. A/C repair has been a horrible experience on my dodge ram diesel. Wouldn't blow cold air, they told me basically it WAS cold and problem was in my head. After over a month of no air and 1200.00 spent, they finally said their compressor they installed was faulty. Still charged me another 400 to fix it. That was 2 weeks ago and my air just stopped working AGAIN. We will see if they try and tell me it's just in my sweaty head this time. read more

Just moved out to this side of town and needed a smog check drove by lots of other places as I was looking for a different spot that I never found, so I decided to come on in and I'm so glad I did service was great was greeted as soon I came in by Jared and he was very nice. The prices were normal 40 for a smog that's what I have always paid after it was done Jared said that I should get a oil change an I knew I needed one so I asked if they can just take care of it and they did for my car it was 45 for the oil change did wait a bit but I didn't mind at all. I did see Tony that I guess is the owner he didn't say hi or acknowledge me even if we were in the same room the whole time I waited for my car I waited about 1 1/2 hours for both smog check and oil change to be done but after all was said and done I left very happy and I will be back I have found my new car shop. read more

This is a great shop I have nothing but good things to say. I called the shop not to long before it was going to close and the owner Tony answered saying that they were closing. I explained that my headlight had gone out and I could barely see while driving and not to forget the possible fix it ticket driving home since I dont even live in Riverside. He said he would keep the shop open after hours and fix the headlight. Now that's unheard of. He fixed the light wich wasnt that easy since the car was a newer model car but all I can say is no job is to hard for auto tech and Tony the owner cares about the customers enough to fix a headlight after his shop was closed. Don't go there, he's s liar and a cheat. Made us drive over 2 hours and wasted our whole thanksgiving morning. He is s crook. Stay away from this business. He buys and sells cars without a dealers license and repairs cars just enough to run less than a week. We took our car there for an oil change, after we left his business, our cars transmission started leaking. He creates more work for himself, just so he stays in business. They charged me $24.20 to plug a tire before asking me if i wanted this done. Was already on my to do list to get it done up the street for $12. Then Josh the guy at the front had the nerve to look at me crazy for asking if they were charging for it. Newer management is a disappointment. Started going here when michael was in charge.. very top notch service. I took my moded honda to them for a pre-test for smog and they simply don't know how to handle aftermarket parts. They were confused by my AEM short ram intake which is carb legal and has the sticker on it. They charged me for an hours work while they looked my part up on the computer (which was completely unnecessary). I ended up taking my car to another shop downtown who did my smog no problem and it was totally legal. They told me they had no idea why autotech couldn't just smog me right then and there. To be fair autotech was just trying to be thorough so as to not do anything illegal.. but they didn't know what they were doing and ended up costing me time and money. What was the most disappointing was customer service because they kept forgetting to call me back to let me know when I could bring my car in (because their smog guy went on vacation). I got so tired of calling them to ask when he'll be back that I just stopped.. and they NEVER called me back. Boy did that make me feel like an unvalued customer. To sum it up: Don't take your car here if you have aftermarket mods... and don't expect good customer service if your a college student because they don't treat you the same as their older local clients. read more

This shop is a hidden gem. I came here after getting a few ridiculously over inflated quotes for replacing the front brake pads on my Audi. Other shops wanted to replace the rotors which I suspected was unnecessary, the car has only 20k miles and otherwise brakes fine. At Autotech, unlike the other shops, they took off the wheel and inspected the rotors, and told me they were in good condition and thickness and that they would be able to machine the rotors instead of replacing them. They also scanned the computer to make sure the worn pads were the only reason why the brake light was on. By actually examining the car and figuring out what the issue was they saved me more than four hundred dollars. I should add that Autotech does charge about $50 to do a brake inspection, but that fee is waved if you do the repair with them so no big deal. Now the car brakes perfectly and I appreciate the honest diagnostic and repair work performed by Autotech. Thanks Tony and crew! read more

This place is the WORST! DO NOT take your car here! I took it because it was AAA recommended but what crooks! Charged me 3X the price for a wheel bearing on a 2001 Corolla then told me it was there STANDARD Business practice. Did not fix the the loud noise from the car. Tells me they didn't even road test! Still a problem after they charged $340 dollars! Then wanted to charge me more money to fix an exhaust leak but not tell me where the leak was! Terrible business! I should have walked out when I walked into the office, a complete disaster! I've been to a lot of shops in my day but this has to be the worst ever! Do yourself a favor, AVOID AutoTech at all costs! dont go here i got a car from carmax in may 2019 and the car wouldnt start it would take a while since i cant make it there they sent me to their sister shop. so i go the first time they fix my car and they give me a paper stating the recommendations that i need done they said that my front brakes have uneven wear. so by that being said i knew it was time for the breaks to get done . so i made an appointment the other day for my oil change breaks check ac tire rotation. so i get off work and i go straight there i had a 8am appt im thinking my extended warranty covers the breaks and oil change so the man at the counter said it doesnt so i asked how much it would be he stated $67.58i told him thats it for my breaks and oil change so i wait awhile an then go back in and pay and i ask him are you sure thats the cost for my breaks and oul change he stated yes so i went ahead and paid. i asked how long it would take he stated theyll have me out by 10ish im like ok soni sit then for about 2 hours i see my car pull around the man that worked on it gave me my keys and i waited for a paper stating what was done . i was going to leave but i was on the phone with my mom she told me what are the recommendations say i told her uneven breaks so i went back in and asked the man why is this on my paper when i just paid you for breaks i asked you did you have oil and the breaks here before you started you stated you have everything here so i go back in i asked why dows it say that and i just paid tou money to fix the break he goes no you paid us to check the break i said why would i pay and last time i came you guys told me my brakes were bad and i even have the paper in my car now you guys are stating my brakes are good how they go from a 3 and a 4 now they a 6 and the man said let him see so i was so pissed but they lie to you im going to have someone check my ti male sure them crooked mf didnt lie so i wait in my car till the owner come back and i try to explain to him basically he took up for his worker talking about well it not like you lost anything it not that important to get you breaks done now im like but i paid do you think i would pay 70 for a oil change hell no i couldve went somewhere else im cool on this money hungry people who lies abd steal people money please go elsewhere or take a man with you ladies dont get played read more

After our vehicle over heated on the highway, we had to be towed to a shop. Our AAA driver recommended this shop to us and I'm glad he did. The people working here are very kind and understanding. They did good work and in a reasonable timeframe. The only thing I would keep in mind are their store hours which are semi-early compared to what we are used to in our home town. read more

The mechanics here really know what they are doing we bring our whole fleet here to be serviced. We (California Showcase Construction) have many vehicles that need maintenance and repairs. The thing about Auto Tech is they are not the cheapest but like the saying goes "You get what you pay for". They do an excellent job and handle everything in a timely manner. We have had may mechanics over the years and they by far are the best at what they do. From our Isuzu Trucks to our personal vehicles it is a relief to know that we do not have to look anywhere else for a shop. This was AAA recommended business for my smog check I had completed 2 years ago prior... so I decided today to get maintenance work early this morning to get check engine light diagnosed for repair. My usual automotive shop close to my house had their AAA certification taken away... So I went ahead to Auto Tech to have 02 sensors replaced as well as oil change and replaced bulbs. Went here last week with my 1999 Chrysler 300m and needed to get a leak checked in the radiator. Jared Told me they would charge me about 45.00 to do a diagnostic on my vehicle and tell me everything that was wrong. I waited about 3 hours and was given a call and told that the radiator was shot and I needed some hoses replaced and a couple other issues. I also had a test done to check the heads which I had a suspicion that they where blown which they said they didn't do for the original diagnostic which I thought was weird because if a vehicle heats up there is a small chance that the head gasket can be blown but thought OK how much for that test they said originally 40 and then 8 bucks for special Dye they put in the vehicle to make that determination. I told them that was they original reason I came in and they said that I came in for a leak I agreed and then asked for a small break which they gave me they did the test for 28 which I didn't feel ripped off. They did confirm my vehicles heads where blown. They told me the repair of the original problems excluding the Head gasket where totaling around 1300.00. I told them I already had a steady mechanic but I appreciated the information. All in all spent about 75 buck to find out lots of problems. I took my Scion xD to Toyota of Riverside for a six-month service. The dealer said I needed a front brake job on a two-year-old car after less than 14500 mis. Disbelieving and angry that this car would need new brakes so soon, I took the car to Autotech who cleaned and adjusted the rear brakes, replaced the engine air filter and said the car did not need new front brake pads at this time. My VW CC crapped out while moving from San Diego to Las Vegas - I was following my husband in his car, and our cars were full of our valuable stuff, and our six pets. We were towed here by AAA. AutoTech was AMAZINGLY accommodating to us - we had six pets, sitting in their lobby, while we waited 4 hours for Enterprise to bring us a car (which they never did - they were SOOO not accommodating). AutoTech was also very honest - they said upfront that because the car only had 20K miles, it was probably under warranty - we should get it to VW Riverside (the AAA tow driver said there wasn't a VW dealership anywhere in the near vicinity - another disappointment). We left the VW at AutoTech - they were able to fix it for $250 (which would be cheaper than the deductible on my extended warranty), put all of the pets in the one car, and continued on to Vegas. Not only did they do the repair on my car, they held it, and some of our house belongings until we could return several days later to pick up the car. They are outstanding, thoughtful, thorough, and honest. HIGHLY recommended. read more
