    Me and my lil' Honda!

TLDR; AutoSavvy of Duncanville is a 10/10 car dealership, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal on a used car. My salesperson, Tyler, was willing to work with me on my first car loan and was very reasonable and accommodating. The trade in amount on my old cash car was also very reasonable. I did do a VIN history check on the vehicle before buying it (all vehicles at AutoSavvy have branded titles, it's their whole thing) and the nature of the damage was a minor front-end collision which was admirably repaired by the AutoSavvy team. I personally must advise against purchasing any vehicles with major structural or water damage, so the VIN history check is important. The vehicle was very reasonably priced for the age and mileage, and the 100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty provides me a lot of peace of mind. The experience was very pleasant and relaxing, come here if you're looking for a use car!

Caution this is what you get from Autosavvy.

Not that my experience is going to change anyone's mind because when you are determined to get a…read morecar and there is a convincing salesperson involved, you are probably going to do what you want to do anyway. But I'm still going to say this: please be careful. I know it's easy to focus on the "right now" and not think long term, especially when you are stressed, desperate, or just trying to survive. I've been there. But trust me, these decisions follow you for years. In August 2022, I purchased a vehicle from Gary Bryan/Auto Cave, and it turned out to be the worst financial decision of my life. I wasn't young or inexperienced. I was simply desperate and needed transportation immediately. A friend of a friend recommended them, so I went. If you are in a difficult situation, I understand doing what you feel you have to do. But please read every single document before signing anything. If you don't understand it, take a picture and run it through ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Copilot, or anything else that can help you make an informed decision. I purchased a 2009 Lexus, and by the end of this loan I will have paid more than three times the Kelley Blue Book value of the car. At the time, the lot looked appealing because most of the vehicles were luxury brands, but looking back, that presentation distracted from the actual loan terms. An interest rate over 20% is predatory lending. Period. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that having a vehicle is not the same thing as building financial stability. A dealership may have stricter requirements, but they also typically report positive payment history to the credit bureaus, offer refinancing options, hardship programs, and other protections that matter in the long run. That matters when you eventually want a home, better credit, savings, or a newer vehicle. I've had this car for about three and a half years, and honestly, I may have actively driven it for only about a year total. It's currently parked. I'm making my final payment next week, and when I do, I'll be requesting a complete payment ledger. I especially want young women to understand how easy it is to end up in financially predatory situations when nobody has taught you what to look for. Wanting a car is understandable. Needing transportation is real. But excitement and urgency can cloud judgment fast. Also, be careful with bundled insurance options. In many cases, you will still need separate coverage to legally drive, so you may end up paying twice. If you do decide to move forward with a high interest vehicle purchase, at least secure your own full coverage insurance and really evaluate the loan terms before signing. And another thing: think realistically about your job stability. If the loan term is three years, ask yourself if your income situation truly feels secure enough to carry that obligation for three years straight. These companies want their payment every two weeks no matter what happens in your life. Will they put you in a car? Absolutely. Will you realistically keep that car comfortably for the full length of the loan? That's a different conversation. Please explore all your options first. Traditional dealerships, credit unions, first time buyer programs, even certified used programs can sometimes put you in a far better situation long term. If your payment is going to be high either way, at least make sure you are getting reliable terms, credit reporting, and protections with it. I'm sharing this because I wish someone had explained it to me this clearly before I signed.

Mega Motors DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership…read more I bought a car from them recently. The motor stopped working ( this was less than two months later). I had just made a payment too. I was told by another mechanic that the radiator was full of a stop leak type sealant product. Mega Motors had sealed the head gaskets of the motor (temporary fix) and sold me the car. Instead of replacing the car, they continued with their unethical business. They told me the car was not repairable. They knew the motor was bad before they sold it. . Then they proceeded to offer me another vehicle, but I would need to pay another down payment . Why should I pay anything? This business sold me a lemon. I still don't have a car and I have not been given a replacement or my money back. They have become hostile and an employee hung up the phone while talking to me. They were friendly when I purchased the car, but that's part of their scheme. Mega Motors is a predatory business. Buyers beware and search Google for real reviews about this place. They have 2.1 overall rating. They have a history of selling bad cars and taking customers money.

My service advisor was George/Jorge and he was very good. He recorded a video of the exterior condition of my car before coming in to set up the appointment. He took the time to look at my service receipt from another dealer to determine what was necessary other than the recall repair. What is nice about this service department is that there is a big bulletin board that lists what is done at each routine service appointment and what it costs. This is something I have not seen elsewhere. When I arrived to pick up my car, George went over the invoice to show me what had been done, noting no charges, and he personally went to get my car. He answered several questions I had which I appreciated. It seems that a lot of the complaints on here have to do with buying cars, a process that can be very frustrating these days. Don't take this frustration out on the service department.

1 Star - No Loaner, No Communication During Active Safety Recall / Buyback Case…read more I brought my vehicle to Kia Southwest after discovering a serious safety recall that made the car unsafe to drive. The dealership took possession of the vehicle and informed me it is now under review for a manufacturer buyback. While the buyback process is underway, the handling of this situation has been completely unacceptable. Despite the severity of the issue, Kia Southwest has: Refused to provide a loaner or rental vehicle Failed to provide consistent communication or updates Offered no clear timeline or expectations I am now left without transportation and without answers, while still dealing with the financial obligations tied to this vehicle. For a manufacturer-authorized dealership handling a safety-related recall and buyback, this lack of support raises concerns regarding basic customer care standards and potential obligations under consumer protection laws, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). At minimum, situations involving unsafe vehicles and manufacturer defects should include: Temporary transportation assistance Clear and timely communication A defined process for resolution None of these have been provided. Due to the lack of responsiveness and support, I am also considering escalating this matter by filing complaints with the Texas Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and pursuing further action if necessary. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when relying on this location for assistance with serious recall-related issues.

Bought a used/repaired late model Honda Accord from this company in May, 2015…read more With regards to 2013 post, even if a vehicle has been in an accident that doesn't NECESSARILY mean it gets a Salvage title. If the accident was minor or moderate but fixable the title may not be affected. This will vary state by state, possibly county by county, and insurance company by insurance company. As to the 2014 review I know this company does deal with clean, salvage, and "rebuilt" titles. Perhaps they were trying to mislead, or perhaps they honestly forgot which title applied to the vehicle until the paperwork was being processed. We all have "brain farts". The Accord we bought had been in an accident and was sold by an insurance company via auto auction with a clean title. The CARFAX report does separately indicate an accident report but confirms and supposedly CARFAX guarantees the "clean" title status. The vehicle was repaired and offered for sale. The folks we worked with at OCS motors showed us the "before" photos and we checked over the car carefully. No auto body shop is perfect, no repair job is perfect, and there were a couple minor paint flaws at the edges of the bumper but overall it was a great repair job and we decided the price asked was a very fair price for a repaired vehicle with clean Texas title. The vehicle drove and handled like a brand new car, so we're very happy with the price paid for a good vehicle with some cosmetic blemishes.
