I liken this place to shopping at TJ Maxx or something. They have a huge selection and good prices but you have to weed through the chaos and damaged merchandise which is exhausting. They were the first dealership we went to when it came time to buy a new car. What struck us as soon as we got on the lot was there are no stickers on the cars (not price, not year, not mileage). It would be 100 times easier to browse around and narrow down what you would like if this info was on the vehicle. So we spoke with a salesman who we told our criteria to. He couldn't offer anything off hand and had us come in and look on line (what is with this these days? Know your inventory!). So we sat there and wasted plenty of time looking on line at cars that might be contenders. We narrowed down about 8 of them thinking we could just go out and peek at the outside and then get the keys and possibly drive a couple. So we put together this giant list and the sales guy says he doesn't know where those cars are and he would have to get the keys. He then says he is only allowed to take out 3 keys at a time. So we wait for him to get a key. But another customer came in and cut us and asked for 2 keys so our sales guy gave this guy two keys and gave us one key. The reason we need the keys and can't just go out on the lot to look at the outside of the cars is because they are not organized and as I mentioned there are no stickers on them, and the sales guy had no idea where they were. In order to find the car you have to hit the lock or panic button on the key. Half of them weren't even in range so we had a really tough time finding them and had to walk around until we were close enough. So we get our one key and look at a car and we like it. On to the next car. We return the key and ask him to see another car and it takes at least 5-10 minutes to get another key. Repeat this several times. I think we saw 6 cars. Two sounded like crap when you started them and another had a dead battery. They stayed late for us which I appreciated but we would have been in and out of there much quicker if there was any organization to their lot and the info was on the cars, and if they didnt take an eternity to get a damn key. I think we were there for 2 hours and that is without even driving a car! Not to mention the sales guy kept telling us no problem he was staying late but then saying weird things like we owed him. He told us how much the manager makes a month and how much he makes a month. Thanks, I didn't need to know that it was just awkward. We had planned to go back and test drive a couple that we liked but after we talked more I decided I never wanted to set foot in there again. Bottom line, if you go here know exactly what you want to see before going in. Also do not expect to negotiate. read more

Since when do you need a credit check before a test drive? My advice, avoid AutoMax Preowned in Framingham, MA. I've decided to buy a 2015-2017 C7 Corvette z51. Found one at AutoMax Preowned in Framingham, MA. I called a day ahead to make sure the vehicle was available for a test drive. "Yes sir, we will call to confirm tomorrow." They called, I confirmed but when I arrived the vehicle was in the showroom (they had no plans for it to be test driven). I asked, "I called yesterday to schedule a test drive of this vehicle, why isn't it ready to go?" The little young man with his clipboard said we need to make sure the numbers make sense first before a test drive. I said, "What numbers are you talking about?" My wife caught on and said, he wants to make sure we can afford a $50k car before he will let us take it for a test drive. I told the man-boy, "I can pay cash for it now but if you needed to do a credit check, why didn't you do that before confirming a test drive?" I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Imagine what their after purchase service must be like. A Herb Chambers dealership has a similar vehicle, I'm sure it will be a normal car buying experience with them. Wish I could give 0 stars!!! OMG This was the WORST car buying experience I've ever had! I found a car online I wanted to look at. I was called and emailed as I had expected. We set up a specific time to look at the vehicle....we were coming from Boston so it was a bit of a hike. I got an email confirmation confirming my appointment. I even in fact, got a call just hours before we went confirming I would be there. Their email asked to let them know if we would not be coming or...or had a change of plans....I assured them I'd be there. As soon as we walked in....you could feel the negative, "vibe." It felt like the Walmart of car dealers. We walked up to the desk gave our name and told them we were there for our appointment. We waited...waited....waited...watched other people walk in after us and go right to their appointment....then I asked for assistance. Someone standing around with a notebook and pen said he would help us to see the car while we waited for our salesman. We were told the car we wanted to see was a manager's demo. We walked over to another lot...he couldn't find the car. He went into an office...comes out and tells us the car is out on a test drive with a party interested in it!!!! EXCUSE ME???? Here's the best part.....we went to talk to the sales manager about the situation who says, "Sorry but if someone wants to look at a car we're not going to say, "no." IMAGINE!! I told him I had a confirmed appointment... he said, "do you know how many people don't keep their appointments?" I said I confirmed this on the phone just before coming. He obviously COULD CARE LESS.... in fact, I told him so.....to which he replied, "what?" I repeated you obvioulsy could care less about us. To which he replies...."we sell 7,000 cars a year here..." I said that means NOTHING to me! WORST MANAGER EVER...can't recall his name but a 50ish looking gray haired man with glasses. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Don't waste your time...they DO NOT CARE at all about the customer....but more on the 7000 cars they sell ...no matter HOW they sell them. Never go there ..not trustworthy, non responsive. avoid the huge headache Here's my story over the past 4 days Visited the dealership on Sunday and test drove a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. It had a sold sign on it but the Manager said it was being sold to a salesperson's son and that it was ok to remove...rather sell it outside the business Loved the Jeep .. negotiated with the salesperson thru Weds morning . .so jeep is still available, right? Weds diary 10:18 initial contact with salesperson .. discussing monthly payment and if Automax would drop their price . .salesperson to get back to me 11:19 . I called back, no decision on lowering the price . .I ask if Auto max comes down 500 and I add 500 to downpayment..will that work...Salesperson asks "If we do this can we get the DEAL DONE today..I say YES ... salesperson to get back to me 1:05 I call back again .. Automax will lower price a few hundred more and I decide to put an additional $500 down to get the monthly payment in line .. I said I will call my daughter to see if its OK with her 1:13 I call back in inform slaesperson if the monthly is below $400 we're good .. I ask him for the monthly payment..he does not have it but will get back to me 3:34 .. I call back .. I guess salesperson was waiting for me .. Yup. Like everyone else who rated it one star, I too was bamboozled by the AUTOMAX Preowned FRAMINGHAM Family. My issue is I was sold a car with only one key. I found this out after I had come to pick up the car. Which by the way, was delayed hours after I had made arrangements to pick it up. They are refusing to provide a second key at no cost. Went in to see a carfax for a car they had, because it was not available online and the lady on the phone "couldn't figure out why". Well it was because the car had an accident record. So I didn't want it, and asked to see a different car, same make and model. They showed me it, but because of a huge storm going on I couldn't test drive it. So the salesman Dwayne told us we could do it the next day, and that we could do the financing then too so we could get going as the roads were getting bad. We put down a $1500 deposit, and head home. Next day comes, and I call while we are on the way there for the test drive. He says he can't do the financing today because "they lost their connection to the banks". Okay. So I discuss with my boyfriend, and we decide to still go in for the test drive at least. I try to call Dwayne while we drive, no answer. I leave a message asking him to call me back. He texts me back as we arrive "Hey Holly, what's up?". I tell him we are there and wanted to at least do the test drive. We sit around and wait for him, have him paged twice, only to find out he isn't even there. Call again, leave a message, he texts back "I'm driving". Then he sends another text saying "Oh sorry, I went in to help clear snow but didn't stay because we can't sign you today. It's my day off but I would have stayed if we could sign you up today." Funny, he made no mention of it being his day off when he told us we could do it all tomorrow if we wanted to get home because the storm was getting bad. He clearly just wanted our deposit money so he could blow us off once he had it. I text him saying I hated texting on my phone because it's a prepaid brick, and it's a pain, and asked if he could call me. Left another voice message asking him to call me as well. Both were ignored. So I called the dealership and asked for a manager, only to be put on hold for awhile then be told they would call me back, which they never did either. So I come in the next day. I sit around from 1pm to 7pm waiting for all the paperwork and inspections and such to get handled, only to be told I can't take it today because the rmv is now closed. So I go home empty handed yet again. Go in the next day, only to have to wait from 9am to 2pm for it to FINALLY get handled and be able to leave. Pay attention to the paperwork as well. They try to tack on extras hoping you'll just sign. Like an $850 gap insurance from Allstate, one of the most expensive providers, and $25 added on to the sales price which they claim is for "titling", but it isn't itemized as such so who knows. Their doc fee is $699 (double the state average, which they deny is true although I researched this extensively while looking for a car). Also, offering to pay cash doesn't make a difference in price here like at most dealerships. I have my car and it appears to be in good shape, but the ability of anyone to get things handled in a timely manner at Framingham Automax is not so great. Part of it was Geico's incompetence, but it was also my salesperson not checking messages or following up on things without face-to-face prompting from me. Been two weeks, still waiting on the spare key they couldn't be bothered to look for while I was there for two days. Probably never going to hear from Dwayne on that. Chris, the finance guy, seemed to be on top of things, but he seems to be an exception to the rule. Buyer beware. read more

We were contacted by the Owner and the Customer Service Dept to see what could be done to correct the situation. Buyer beware....I bought a vehicle here in May 2011. After having the car two months I found out that the vehicle I had purchased was in a significant accident . I was showed a carfax on the vehicle that said it was a "clean vehicle". I called automax and told them what I had found out.. After two weeks of getting the run around I was told they couldn't do anything but to show me what good guys they are, they told me when I wanted to sell the car they would buy it back for kbb fair. I have read the reviews regarding this dealership, all I can say is those that think it was a great experience may want to take a closer look at their vehicle. Drove from Boston to view a Toyota Highlander. We were immediately ushered inside to listen to a sales pitch before we were able to view the car. During this discussion "pitch" we were advised that the car was not actually for sale for the advertised price. In order to receive the advertised price we would need to finance at least 80% of the car. Bottom Line - The advertised prices on their website are not honored. read more

I found the right car at the right price and gave them a deposit. They told me it would take a couple of weeks to get the title which I was ok with since I had another car. After waiting two full weeks I called the dealer and nobody had any idea what I was talking about. I drove to the dealer and showed them my receipt for the deposit and they were clearly confused. They sold my car to someone else. They didn't even apologize and said sometimes that happens. They wanted to show me another car but I was no longer interested in doing business with them and wanted a refund. They didn't want to give me a refund without a major argument and it took a month and 5 more phone calls to get a check back from them. My advice, stay away. Bought my car about a month ago and honestly don't Even know where to start with this review. First of all I was belittle by the financing manager John Coville every step of the way of buying my vehicle. The un professionalism displayed was something I could not even put in to words. NEVER EXPECT A CALL BACK from this place if you ever have an issue. It seems that no matter who I talked to, emailed, even texted PERSONAL LINES, I never heard back from anyone. Bought the car a month ago and for some reason they let me leave without even inspecting my car. I call to come in for my inspection and before I could even come in my check engine light was ALREADY ON. We're talking within weeks of buying this car. When I call to explain my situation I am bounced around from person to person, voicemail to voicemail. I am given an appointment for a week from the date I finally get service on the phone. Mind you this means I am driving around with a vehicle that hasn't passed inspection, is unable to pass inspection and no sticker for a week. If u got a ticket who would've paid it? I am told they will need to keep my car for a few days and I am unable to get a loaner or rental. Why am I being inconvenienced because you decided to sell me a car and not even inspect it before giving it to me. Wow. Just wow. They are the stereotypical nightmare used car salesmen that you read about. I almost don't know how to begin. They say they have no haggle prices, but they do haggle. They say their prices are based on you using their financing, but that was also not true, to my benefit. They say they offer a 90 day bumper to bumper warranty, but they do not. They are selling you on the lemon law, which only covers safety issues. They say they will not allow you to have a car checked out by a mechanic before you buy it, but they will, and I did, thank God. Despite there being a clean Carfax, I brought the car I was interested in to a mechanic before I purchased it. Apparently the car was in an accident. For some reason their 130 point soft inspection did not see the front passenger side axel problems, and didn't notice that the car was pulling to the right. They were so anxious to sell me this car and did not want me taking it to a mechanic beforehand. They tried to talk us out of bringing it to a mechanic all week. People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing. Thank God I insisted and brought it because I did not end up purchasing it. There are too many other car dealerships around to even consider going to Automat. Why risk it? But if you do, remember... THEIR DOC FEE IS $599!!!!! Watch out for this company. If you feel something is wrong, it probably is. There is no benefit to giving them the benefit of any misplaced doubts. Our used-car-salesman was Mike Ouellette. He knew nothing about his products, or his company, or its procedures. He talked with great confidence, speaking words that have never known reality. Do not take anything he says as being true... not that it is necessarily false... only that he shows little need to moderate his comments with reality. The manager at the time, Daniel Wright, was little better. He was quick to offer confident assurances, then feigning shock when the documentation fails to match his claims. Ultimately I bought a car that I am not unhappy with, at what was a moderately fair but not exceptional price. I'm still waiting for the unpleasantness of the transaction to echo as a major mechanical failure. Do not give them your trust or your confidence. Be sure that EVERYTHING is in writing, or independently verifiable. Do NOT trust that the members of the team communicate -- especially if it would be to your advantage or convenience. Follow up on everything. Demand documentation. It is not possible to know if the negatives were because of incompetence, disinterest in their business, or deliberate manipulative, misrepresenting, and immoral intent. Stay away from this place. They sell a bunch of used cars. Great selections and when you get there you will be warned that they don't negotiate on their listed prices. Which was fine, I was okay with the price so we bought the car. We test drove it, inspected it, and everything worked fine. The day we picked it up there were two dents on the quarter panels. We told them the dents were not there when we bought it because we inspected it before we left. A salesman had the nerve to say if there is one on both sides the car comes like that? AutoMax Framingham reeks of dishonest business practices. I took my car there for service and was surprised by the $465 cost. I asked for an itemized list over the phone and it added up to $330. I asked Freddy why he was asking for $130 more than the total of the itemized services and he said it must be taxes! I called Shenanigans and pointed out that a sales tax of 6.25% would only bring the cost up to $350. He told me he had to make a phone call. When he called back, he agreed that he had "mistakenly" double charged me for a $100 deductible. In addition to this incident, when I purchased the car from AutoMax Framingham almost 2 years ago I had a similar experience. They pushed me to sign documents without reading them first. I not only read them, but double checked the math and they had double charged me for a few line items then as well. They apologized for the mistake, but even then, I doubted that it was an accident. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Please learn from my experiences and do not waste your time with this company. If you do, read everything and double-check their math. read more

Stressful experience - will not buy again. Pro: Found & bought a car that was a good value. Con: Spastic sales guy who couldn't concentrate on completing the computer entries in a timely fashion; kept getting distracted and starting talking about nothing relevant while NOT typing. Con: Was charged for extra warranty then they "forgot" to pay for it- got a letter in the mail 60 days later stating the service contract had been voided for non-payment! Had to call again to get it sorted out. Unacceptable. Con: Didn't tell us that car was a very recent new trade in and the title wasn't cleared until AFTER we had made down payment and had settled on vehicle. Waited month before we could take car off the lot. They tried to make it up to us with new tires but it was just a very stressful experience overall - too many phone calls for what should have been a simple transaction. read more

BUYER BEWARE - this dealership has the worst service department, shady handling of their vehicles, and terrible customer service. I spent over thirty thousand dollars on one of their vehicles. When you spend that type of money, you would expect the dealership to stand behind their product. Well, a few months later I went to get an oil change at another service center and they found that Automax had used after market, cheap parts on a luxury car and incorrectly serviced my car prior to me purchasing it. Their mishandling of my car resulted in oil leaking around my engine and alternator. Thank goodness it was caught before causing further and highly expensive issues. I even gave Automax the chance to rectify the situation. I took an afternoon off from my job to drive there and discuss the issue with their service team and show them the photos and description of the damage. What I got was a condescending service manager trying to tell me that I was wrong, and that "oil seepage is normal." She simply didn't care. This place should be investigated. Just while I was standing at the service desk waiting to see the manager, about three other customers came up with complaints or mistakes they noticed. As if it could get worse - the general manager would not even answer my e-mail. On behalf of someone who did purchase a car here, PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE and do not have any business dealings with Automax. There are far better dealerships neighboring them. And let me just say - I never have written a bad review on Yelp or any other forum, but I hope this stops at least one person from giving Automax a lot of money in exchange for unprofessional staff and a product that is not properly taken care of. read more

So I'll start this by saying "thankfully, I never got the car I looked at." I went in on June 6, looking to upgrade from my current car. I had looked online, found something i had some interest, and clicked on their pre-approval link. Then came the 3x a day harassing calls wanting to know when I was coming in. Finally, I caved and went in. The sales guy I was told to ask for was actually the finance manager, Danny. I was pawned off on Dino. Seemed like a decent guy. So I explain my financial situation and that I was not in an rush to make a deal, but if it worked out in my benefit, I was willing. Pulls a car, I like it, I tell him "ok, let's see if the numbers work before I go getting all excited." Dino says "ok, shouldn't take too long." Then starts the frustration. After 3 hours of waiting, Danny tells me he needs my pay stub for the bank. Their computers wouldn't allow me to log on to print it, so I rushed home and printed it. I was told I'd have an answer Sunday. I call back Sunday. Danny picks up says "bank's closed, we'll know tomorrow." click, doesn't even give me a chance to ask questions. Ok, that was rude. Call Monday, Dino says "oh, should happen by the end of the day. After 3 check-in calls, at 6:45pm, I'm told 'oh, we'll find out tomorrow." At this point, I can tell I'm getting the brush off. Tuesday: call at 11, Dino says "Danny is off today, I won't bug him on his day off, call tomorrow." Ok, fine, I appreciate the need for a day off, so I let it go. That brings me to today, 6/10. I call 3x asking for Danny, and the phone rings on end, with no voice mail. On the 4th call, I say to the receptionist "Listen, I need an answer, I know Danny and Dino are screening my calls, can I please just get one of them on the line." Receptionist says that she'll page them. I'm left on hold for 10 minutes. Call disconnects. I'm done with them. I've now read the reviews here and realized I've wasted parts of 4 days. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I hope their 'digging for a deal' doesn't do too much damage to my credit. Moral of the story: save your time and money...go elsewhere. read more

The guy who helped didn't bother much since we mentioned the name of the person we spoke with over the phone. He did not ask for our names neither he introduced himself. Great selection, and good price as well. Jenson was my sales rep., and I'm fairly happy although not perfect. Looking at the other's feedbacks, some may not be happy but you gotta understand that they have tons of inventories and may be hard to keep track of them all right off the head. But Jenson figured things out only after small wait including the test drive. All dealers have limits on the keys that sales rep can take out and has to keep their cars locked and safe, so I'd recommend to do a little bit of search before walk in. I knew exactly which cars I wanted to try and this made things go smoothly. They also offered me to have a vehicle delivered from Marlborough location just for a test drive. (And no, I did not buy an exotic, just a mini) Since I knew what I wanted, there wasn't much of work for my sales rep., negotiation was average, it's never fun but it wasn't unpleasant. F&I person was up front and clear, there just was long wait so I had to leave and come back the next day due to my schedule. So...I tried to leave the dealership to come back the next day only because I had to go...I notified the sales manager or whoever was sitting behind the desk in his blue suit almost threaten me saying that if I leave right now they can't promise the deal or no deal. I did not like his facial expresssion and his tone. I am the buyer and If I don't buy, there is no deal. His attitude was just wrong. Deals could change but my schedule is important and there are more important things than buying a car, you could kindly informed me rather than talking mad. There are plenty of dealers and cars, it's only matter of time for me to spend to find a right one. He may feel like he has power over customers because he sets the price but this is only because he is at the right place with good selection of vehicles and good price. Good luck along the way in your life with that kind of attitude...he got on my nerves, but I just walked out... Anyway, I went in next day, didn't have to face that rude guy in his blue suit, signed on the paper with Vinny, the F&I guy was great, then picked up the vehicle a few days later after insurance, registration, and detailing all done as promised. Automax has great selection and price, so just do a little bit of home work before go in, all the inventories are on their website. Worst experience around. After the finance $#@! Told me because of how much time a sales guy spent with me that I shouldn't be basically shopping around. I told them where I wanted to be and they said they use a finance company i already had an approval for. All of a sudden they don't have that and they don't take that price into consideration even though I already had an approval and that was the number all of a sudden my financing numbers don't look the same even though they're guaranteed. Had a pleasant buying experience here, upon walking in I was greeted by a gentleman who I presume was the owner. I was then immediately sat down in the waiting area before one of the sales, Matt Correa took care of me. After all the paperwork, I picked up my car four days later, it was very clean and detailed which I loved. Waited a bit long at certain moments but overall a pretty good experience. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I purchased my Mercedes ML350 last April from this outfit.... The price was fine, the car was fine, but the service is a joke. I have purchased many cars in my day, and the follow up customer service with Automax is embarrassing. The sales rep (who later asked me to come work for my company once he realized I owned an equipment financing firm, as he told me he HATED working there), had zero negotiating powers within the company, so there was the typical back-and-forth with his manager. I later negotiated with, and met the "general manager" Mike Rowe who sold me a bill of goods. The vehicle had a clean carfax, but later I had a couple different issues when the car broke down (only 40k miles on a 42k car) and the Mercedes dealership told me the car looked like it had been in an accident. Fishy. I wasn't worried, b/c Mike Rowe sold me the "ultimate warranty" and told me it would cover absolutely everything - and if I ever had an issue, to "call him personally (he gave me his cell #) and he would call the owner of the warranty outfit (who he claimed to have on speed dial in his phone- he showed me). Let's just say that's not what happened. Once I had the issue with the car, I had Mercedes call the warranty company and neither problem were covered (this was an $1,800 fix).... so obviously I was peeved. The Mercedes rep told me if I purchased their extended warranty both issues would have been covered- this was my fear when I purchased the policy. I called/texted Mike 10+ times without a return call. Additionally, I emailed him and finally after threatening a negative review (this), along with a negative review on the BBB (that's next) and letter to the attorney general (also next), he wrote back this: "STEVE, I AM NOT A WARRANTY ADMINISTRATOR, NOR AM I A SERVICE WRITER. IM OPENING DEALERSHIPS, AND RUNNING SEVERAL STORES. YOU COULD HAVE GONE TO OUR FRAMINGHAM SERVICE DEPT, THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE ANSWERS FOR YOU AS WELL. IF YOU CAN FAX ME WHAT ISN'T BEING COVERED, (A COPY OF THE REPAIR ORDER LISTING THE ITEMS WITH LABOR) I WILL CALL AND FAX THIS TO MY ADMINISTRATOR, AND SEE WHY THESE ARE NOT COVERED. AS I RECALL, YOU HAVE CUSTOM EDGE, ULTIMATE, SO SEND THIS INFORMATION TO THEM" I informed him neither were covered. This was 6 weeks ago.... I cancelled my policy with Custom Edge and requested a refund. I still have not received the refund.....I called Custom Edge and they told me the refund was mailed to the dealership on Jan 19th.... It's now a month later and I still don't have my money. I just cannot believe I was sold a warranty for over $4,000 and promised the world, only to not deliver. Clearly from his email above, he feels he's extremely important, and too important to answer calls or help with issues. If I provided this customer service, I would be out of business. I currently have 23 sales reps working for me, and I am using this example as a way for them NOT TO ACT. Clearly, I am not pleased with Automax and I highly recommend steering clear of them when purchasing a vehicle. The slight discount you get isn't worth the headache. read more

Ima yelper, so I must say I do read these reviews and take them into serious consideration. But we had to see for ourselves, we looked for a specific car and this dealership had it, the cheapest and the lowest miles. I practically got the car brand spanking new. The guys were very friendly to my partner and myself. They did need a bit of a push but nothing that caused us to not trust in them. My credit isn't the greatest and I got Single digit APR rate. My car had 3 keys! (A lot of reviews said their car had one) they replaced our tires they m were very open about what the warranty covered and didn't cover, they answered every question my boyfriend who knows about cars had and we did get a great price for the car and she's brand new29000 miles on it. ZERO STARS!!!! Place is a farce! Worse car buying experience ever. Made appointment to test drive day before. Arrived and car was on showroom floor. Couldn't start car in showroom let alone test drive. Told only way to test drive was to negotiate price first. Say what, talk about a*s backwards. Told was going to pay cash...and they're quoting me financing starting between 5%-8% for 72 months. Said pay cash.... no negotiation on price, extremely high dealer document fee of $598 plus they wanted to charge sales tax on document fee!!! Salesperson kept leaving to go to sales manager.....waste time, waste time and waste more time. So frustrated we finally walked out. Talk about a waste of time. CARMAX.... PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOU ARE SEARCHING THIS DEALESHIP THEY HAVE ALTERED THEIR NAME SO PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THE REAL TRUTHS.. OK I can't give this place negative stars because their is none.. how ever in all my years in the service industry myself I never experienced such poor customer service and lack of ownership in the upper management.. I live in CT on the NY border and I have been looking at the website for couple of months knowing the I can take the 5 hours ride went I find the right car and purchase my new car there. As you can imagine making a car purchase for $28k is not easy and given the fact the I was almost 5 hours away I wanted to make sure the car was still available and the I have a contact person when I get there. I sent an inquiry to the dealer online and got a email first thing in the morning very impressive(quick follow-through ). I spoke with Issac T. Sales & Financing representative. He stated it the he need it additional information to complete my long application. I explain to Issac the I already have been approved and I need it to know if the car I was looking was still available before I take a 5hr drive. After this representative hear the I already have been approve and I might not keep the long for the full term this representative tone of voice and demeanor totally changed towards me. He was extremely rude and condescending telling me the I need to become a Massachusetts resident to purchased a car there unless I used a different loan company a put down a specific down payment. I felt very uncomfortable and I ask the representative the I would like to speak with another sells rep or a manager and the I felt the he was trying to discouraged me from purchasing a car there and was not been very helpful. I waited a while and desisted to call the dealer back and ask for the general manager just to keep him aware of this situation. went I call around 12:30 the manager give me his name as (PAT) and refuse to give me his last name. The manager had me on speaker phone and I ask if their was any way I can speak to him in private since I was upset of the really bad experience and I was still considering purchasing a car there just need it a different sales rep. I was very taking back by his respond to the whole incident. Buying a car from Auto Max in Framingham was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. They were so rude to us that I had to create a Yelp account just to write about it. Among other things I was promised a smoke treatment that was not done, the floormats (that I had to ask for when picking the car up- they weren't going to include it otherwise) slide and don't hook in at all, and the sales rep (Manny Soto) and the manager (Chris) were of no help. After I signed I was told to pick up on Tuesday, so I came in at noon. The car wasn't ready so I waited for it to be cleaned, 40 mins go by still not done. I had to come back again for the second time that day after work. Manny had zero patience for us, blew us off ("I'm really busy" - guess what, so are we!), and literally walked away from us mid-sentence like the true professional that he is. He basically scolded me, gave such attitude, and treated me with no respect. I'm the customer, I'm paying more than $15,000 - when I come to pick my car up, treat me with respect bc I'm a human and bc I'm your CUSTOMER. I finally speak to the manager, who is also the finance guy, and he told me they would give me a second key for my 2015 car "at our cost" which I assumed meant complimentary. After scanning my license he tells me it will be $220 for the second key. After all that hassle and horrible customer service I would at least expect that to be taken care of. Per the words of Chris: "if I could give it to you, I would". I find it hard to believe the manager wouldn't be able to comp that. ***After driving the car off the lot, I found a Ritz Cracker wrapper in one of the compartments. Interesting how it was located inside the compartment.*** HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Once you sign, be prepared to be disregarded and talked down to. I had the worst experience with this dealer. I went in to look at a dodge 1500 (that they said was on the lot when I called) when I got there it was not there they said it was being serviced. So I went back about a week later to pick it up they told me everything was all set and it was ready to go. The minute I got on the highway I kept getting jerked all over the highway. It scared me and I've never been scared driving before. Thankfully my child wasn't in the car. So I immediately turned around and went and got my car that I was trading in and they told me they were sorry and they'd fix everything. They said when I come back to pick it up there would be a sticker and my registration would be all set. I pick it up it was on empty so they put 10$ IN A DODGE RAM. I love 45 minutes away 10$ isn't going to do anything they couldn't even fill it after all the trouble I went through. Also no sticker was put on and no registration in the truck. I had to call and scream my head off to get these people to do their damn job and send me my registration. There is so much more i could write about the horrendous experience. They are incredibly shady, just want your money and don't give a damn about their customers. ALSO they never sent proper paper work to my insurance company and let me drive off the lot with an un-insured vehicle.
