I have an early 2000's VW New Beetle that I've had serviced at the dealer since I bought it. My car is still in pretty good condition, but about 3 years ago the dealer told me they couldn't get parts, and couldn't work on my car anymore (even for minor issues). I tried to do my own work for a while, but I could only do so much. Then I got a flashing oil light and thought my engine was a goner. That's when I called Autobahn and they said they'd happily look at it. It turned out to be a bad oil sensor and was fixed that day! While they had my car, I asked them look at my brakes because I had a faulty ABS module and the dealer told me there was nothing I could do. That was 5 years ago. 5 years of ABS and traction control warning lights. But Autobahn came through again! They knew exactly what needed to be done, worked with me to find a specialist in module repair, packed it up and sent it off for me, and installed it flawlessly, all for half the price the dealer told me it would cost (that was if they could even do the repair, but they couldn't because they didn't have parts). I finally don't have any warning lights on my dash and it's the best feeling in the world. I only wish I found Autobahn 20 years ago! Everything about my experience with them was amazing. On top of that, they fixed things I didn't even ask them about! I've had a faulty headlight and a very finicky trunk latch that even the dealer couldn't fix. They fixed them both and never charged me or even mentioned it! I'm absolutely overjoyed. They have a customer for life! read more

I HIGHLY recommend this establishment. This past Saturday I started my car and the coolant warning light came on. Apparently during the evening all the coolant had leaked out and my attempts to replace it were futile. With it being Saturday and knowing they are closed on this day I thought my Labor Day weekend was screwed. Out of frustration, I had my car in their shop for this same reason 3 weeks prior, I filled out the form on their website letting them know I wasn't happy. Less than an hour later Mike called me saying he had seen my message and that it just so happened that the two owners were going to be in the shop that afternoon and would look at my car if I was able to get it there. Paul was able to quickly diagnose the problem as a failed hose clip and had it fixed within an hour. I waited longer for the AAA tow truck to show up than it took them to diagnose/fix/test my car. Since they could not determine if this was a new problem or something they should have spotted 3 weeks ago, they did not charge me for this visit. I highly recommend this shop. read more

When I brought my car in, the service was quick and they addressed all of my concerns. I took my '13 VW GTI to Autobahn Performance the other day. Prior to taking it in, I spoke to JR on the phone. He was able to give me a lot of information about the services that they provided. Additionally, he mentioned the prices for parts and labor and the arability to perform the service. When I came by later in the afternoon, I was greeted nicely and JR started working on my car immediately. During my stay, he walked me through what he was doing and explained every part of the procedure. The place itself is a bit small. There is a lot of noise outside from the street and the train tracks, and inside there is regular noise from the shop as well as the workers being on the phone. There was a old tv to watch VHS tapes on, and a free wifi. The wifi worked excellent and I was able to work on my computer without a problem. Overall, Autobahn Performance is one of the two APR authorized dealers, and I am very happy with the service they provided. If something comes up with my car, I will definitely go back. read more

Hands down the best experience Ive ever had with a mechanic. I found Autobahn through Yelp, and went to them for a pre-purchase inspection of a 2014 Audi allroad. They were thorough and transparent, even letting my wife and I come in the shop to inspect the car with them. We ended up buying that car and brought it in a few weeks later for routine maintenance, they worked quickly and had the job done exactly as I had asked, and they even gave me a loaner for the day my car was in the shop. I've used Autobahn in the past when the dealership's service declined and prices rose. However, I moved out of the area and tried a new mechanic...never again! Long story short had a bad experience with a mobile mechanic and took my VW Jetta to Autobahn Performance to fix what he had broken ( I knew I should have went to Autobahn to begin with but I went with mobile mechanic for convenience). In turn I was more inconvenienced. I came to AP they immediately knew what was wrong with my Jetta and gave me a fair quote. I also like that they only use VW/Audi and/or top of the line parts. Additionally, I notice they do a lot of work on high-end VW and Audi and I never feel like me or my Jetta are not treated with the same quality of service and care as the more expensive cars. I live across town from this shop but will never take my car anywhere else again. The guys are great, fair, and personable. read more

I have so much good to say about this shop! They took great care of my Audi Q5 and were very honest and up front with me from the start. I had called multiple places in need of new brakes and to see exactly what I needed done. J.R was very friendly and accommodating. They charged almost half of what the upscale body shops in Atlanta were quoting me and did not pressure me into getting any "unnecessary" work done. They were straight forward in telling me what they recommended but did not take advantage of me not knowing much about cars. Cannot say enough great things about my experience here, suffice to say this is my new GO TO place for Audi repairs. I had a Q5 Xenon headlight bulb go out recently. The dealership quoted me a ridiculous price to replace the bulb. Luckily I came across Autobahn Performance on a google search, called Mike and they had me come in right away.
