I have a 2004 VW Toureg and was tired of paying premium prices for service work at the dealership. I had a loud whinning coming from the lower engine and at first thought it was transmission. After calling Aotobahn and cofirming that they should be able to determine the problem within the minimum 30 minute diagnosis, I took the vehicle in. Within 1 hour, Sebastian called me back, and gave me the good new that it was not transmission, but a bad alternator. He then gave me estimated cost for the repair. Upon completion of the service, I received the invoice for significantly less than what I had agreed to. It took less time than the recommended labor hours and I benefited from their efficiency!! What a pleasant surprise. I now have a mechanic who I can trust and rely on...........a necessity for those of us who cannot do it ourself and own cars that are beyond the warranty period. I would happily and readily recommend Sebastian and Autobahn Motorwerks!! read more

I will not take my classic BMW to anyone else! They are upfront about what needs to be done and then they take care of business! They have never disappointed me or my classic BMW! Thank you, Paula! You are a pleasure to do business with!!! read more

I was having trouble starting (intermittent) and the car was losing power to certain areas as it was falling below the voltage thresholds that the car requires to power the respective system. What I just described above is what I learned from Sebastian today as he took me back into the garage and explained to me (and showed me) the situation with my X2. It was great to have a free lesson from Sebastian as he passionately explained the issue, how he found it and most importantly how he will solve it. Im excited to pick my car up and have back in correct order with confidence after Sebastian and his team close the hood. You will not be disappointed bringing your BMW to Autowerks here in Beaverton. Sebastian has a lot of experience and is a genuine mechanic. The added bonus is the awesome docile yellow lab hanging out in the garage! read more

Brought my car at Autobahn Motorwerks to have them install the OEM front splitter on my 2017 540i BMW. The attention to detail, pursuit of perfection, and level of care is top notch. I can honestly say that I don't even receive this type of service care from any BMW service centers i went to. I highly highly recommend the. And will definitely come back for future BMW service I need. read more

Autobahn Motorwerks - 2002 vw golf Gti 1.8t - Auto Repair Near Me - Beaverton, Oregon

I cannot say enough about Sebastian and the folks at Autobahn Motorwerks. They worked on my son's BMW that had been sold to him with damage, fraudulent revisions and burned out electronics. Sebastian went way above and beyond to get the car running and pass emissions. They were thorough, honest, ordered used parts from out of state to save us money, subbed out specialty electronic services when they had to and they even loaned my son a car to drive. To top it off, Paula gave me a freakin coupon discount after all the hours and effort they spent on this car. The list goes on an on. I highly recommend them for expertise and excellent service. Nice folks, too. read more

Took a used car here for a pre-purchase inspection. Low mileage, so there wasn't much to see, but the folks at ABMW were really nice to work with, and took the time to go over everything with me thoroughly. read more

A great exploded with these guys. It's our second time in, and although the mini we have needs special transmission attention the team here was fantastic in evaluating and assisting us with a diagnosis and recommendation for a local shop which we hope will help. Very professional and service oriented. read more

I have a 2000 VW Jetta and a 2003 BMW 330xi. Sebastian has been a lifesaver for both cars (as you can imagine, they've both needed some work over the years). He's willing to go the extra mile to keep these older cars going, but is also honest and tells us when chasing a little problem isn't worth the money. He is and will always be my go-to guy for my cars, he's trustworthy and easy to work with and does good work. Cannot recommend him and Autobahn Motorwerks highly enough. read more

We bought an old used BMW and It had a check engine light on and the front and back windows on the driver side didn't roll up. A friend referred us to Autobahn motorwerks, so the next day after the purchase of our new used BMW we brought in to get the windows fixed, and to see what else the car needed. To make a long story short, They charged me $1200 for the windows and a pipe that was leaking. The also said that the car was shaking and to get that fixed it would cost close to $500 and that we can do that later down the road. After I paid them $1200 dollars, my fiancé drove the car home and noticed that the check engine light came back on and that the car would rev up when it changed gears. I drove the car right away and noticed the same thing. Grace took the car back to the Autobon Motorwerks and owner. /mechanic said that most likely it's the transmission and to sale the car. What! As the experts why didn't they find out about the transmission before we paid the $1200? they said they drove the car and didn't find anything wrong. We drove the Car home from their shop and we noticed it right away! We know nothing about cars and we knew something was wrong! And talking to other shops they said they would of checked the transmission because with most older cars that is one of the most expensive thing to fix. I talked to the wife who answers the phone and spoke with the owner / mechanic and they basically had no answers for me. They said that they will charge us $200 more to check the transmission when they should of done that first place. I would not have paid the $1200, if I had known about the transmission! They are the experts in fixing BMW'S and to find out what's wrong with the car. We almost had them fix the shaking of the car! Thank god we found out before we paid them another $500. If you are looking for a BMW shop I would take it somewhere else. Or get a second opinion. I do not think they are bad people. They were both very nice. I think what they did was incompetent and unprofessional. read more

they were fantastic, very nice employees ! owners of the company are very professional! if you want your car fixed come to Autobahn!

I'd been taking my BMW to the local dealership and while they did a good job they are very expensive. I was looking for a BMW shop that did a good job and was affordable. I got that with Autobahn Motorwerks! Sebastian is very passionate about his business, you can tell. The first time I stopped in he took a look at my breaks and talked to me about their squealing. He was very through both in his assessment of the brakes and his description of what was happening with them...no charge. I recently took it in to have the headlamp bulbs replaced. Additionally he polished up my lights for me, no charge. While he had the car he put it up on the rack and gave me a free inspection, something the dealership usually charges for. He found a couple minor things which he showed my husband and I. He then explained what was going on in detail. I asked him for a quote which he provided, again a very reasonable price. So far I am very impressed. read more

I purchased a e39 540i a couple months ago. After doing a bunch of research, I decided to go with Autobahn Motorwerks for the pre purchase inspection and the subsequent repairs. Sebastian and Jason are fantastic and exceptionally knowledgeable. They are very cost conscious - this last time I brought it in, they assessed my concerns as seepage, and didn't merit any repairs at the moment. All I was billed for was perhaps a half a labor hour. They also gave me an assessment for a worst case scenario if it eventually did happen, with a sheet detailing the necessary repairs therein - very transparent, with exceptional prices. I would highly recommend them and plan on staying as a customer for a good long time. read more

Sebastian who is an owner is an honorable guy. Performs the work efficiently and at reasonable rates. You will save over going to the local dealers but you won't be getting the espresso machine. You also get to skip having to deal with the service reps who usually can't provide a reasonable answer to any tech questions. If you want real tech answers to your questions go here. read more

Sebastian is a good mechanic very honest and respectful, the prices are very good. I took my m5 E60 to get it service and I was very satisfied. I recommend this place excellent customer service. read more

Service you would expect from a large Dealership and integrity and pricing you would get from a close friend or good neighbor ! It was such a pleasure to drive away feeling like you were not taken advantage of and know that you would go back if you have anymore issues! I would recommend Autobahn Motorwerks to anyone who has had a bad experience or even a good experience to allow Autobahn to make it great! read more

Based on my experience these guys get 5 stars. They had previously repaired my wife's 2001 540i, and after almost a year there was another coolant leak. They took the time to get to the bottom of it. The replacement surge tank had a crack. Since it was installed by them originally they warrantied it no question asked. Stand up character and no funny business. If you can find a shop you trust - keep it, but share the info with your friends. Good job and we'll be back read more

Came to autobahn with what I feared could be an expensive fix on my 2006 R350. Rather than digging in, Sebastian (the owner) diagnosed a key failure. Though skeptical, I purchased the new key from the dealer, and the problem was solved very efficiently and cost effectively. I would recommend anyone who's foreign car needs work to visit Autobahn. I am very impressed with the knowledge and integrity of this company. Thanks! read more
