It was before closing when I called, and the phone just kept ringing. I was at the store two minutes past closing time, they were closed but a younger gentleman was letting someone out. I nicely asked him if I could get it and he was friendly as could be. Then the older man with glasses asked the younger guy what was he doing and he explained plush told him it was paid for only. The guy with glasses yelled at me, "see you at 7:30," which is opening time. He then looked at the younger guy and said," just make him come back tomorrow, I don't care if he is the f***ing King of England. It was past closing, so I am not upset about the part in the slightest. I appreciate the professionalism of the younger gentleman. The older man and his total disrguard of the customer like it was a joke, and yelling the profanity about if I were the King of England will have me never shop at an Oreilly's location again; and I suggest you avoid this on. The one on reading has a great staff that appreciates the customer.

I was ready to buy a new battery, but needed one question answered, "How do I know it's the battery and not the alternator? She gave me reasons the battery would fail, then said something to the affect of, "I gave the battery test results. that's what you came here for. if you want to buy a battery I'll write you up." and then walked back inside the store. Instead of following her back into the store, I closed my hood and drove a mile down the street to Walmart where I received better service. Yes, the big box retailer down the street that also sells fishing poles, televisions and beef jerky was able to answer all my questions, take my old battery out and install my new one all while providing better service than Autozone, a car parts specialist. I've received good service at other Autozones in the past, and I'm sure I'll go back in the future....just maybe not this location.

I switched off, tested battery, then tried switch on, as expected it's not turn on. I requested to get battery for my car, they said they don't change battery. They tried with their backup battery, it's not working. They told that problem is with something else, that they don't know. Now I'm clueless. Called my insurance, they came in 15 mins, with their battery it just started in first attempt. Thanks to my insurance. I went to nearby store and changed battery in 10 mins. He also made me feel confident in his abilities and best of all I didn't get that sleazy mechanic feeling that you sometimes get from people feeling like they're trying to rip you off. The second is someone who's actually interested in the things they sell and use them in their real lives. When I went to this Autozone, I attempted to figure out a P0497 issue with my engine. I'd already replaced the purge valve and the two hoses for it. I went up to the register and got no useful help from one guy and the other gave me an interesting alternative to throwing money at. He suggest a CataClean and wash out the tank with it. It didn't fully work but the check engine light was off for about a week after. Regardless of the outcome, it showed me that something else is wrong and how to better address it. Not only that, it was basically $15 for info on my issues. Great service from Daniel!
