I thought I felt a slow shift point once or twice in the last few months so I decided it was time. I was right. Artem saved and showed me how dark brown the normally pink trans fluid had become. Yuck! The Naples Volvo dealership wanted DOUBLE what Artem charges and I can guarantee you, it couldn't have been done any better. I noticed a discernable improvement on the drive home tonight from his shop and I'm sure my gas mileage will improve going forward as a result, too. And it's not just Volvo's Artem works on.....seems like nearly every foreign car is in his shop or his parking lot. So happy to have found an honest and reliable car mechanic here in Naples. My first time taking my car here and I was impressed. I had taken my 325ci to my regular place for…read moresome minor bodywork and asked them to do an oil change while it was there, which they confirmed was done on pickup. When I returned home I pulled the dipstick and the oil was obviously not fresh. I called to point out the mistake, but they doubled down and the mechanic confirmed it was done. So I found Naples Mechanics and took it there and they confirmed I was correct. While the car was on the lift, the owner also pointed out that the central arm bushings were shot and that the rear shocks were leaking. I had been taking my car to the previous place for the past 5 years, so they had plenty of opportunities to identify these issues (I only do very low mileage each season), so I opted to have the work done by Naples Mechanics and was very pleased with the work done.

So after the oil change I drove to the main location on Domestic to have the tire repaired. I was told that I would have to wait about an hour for them to get to it for repair. I had no problem since I drove in without an appointment. As I was sitting in the waiting room, I noticed how nice and professional they handled their customers. Well after about an hour the nice lady working the front called my name and apologized for me having to wait an hour. That the tech working on my tire could not find a leak !!-- that the whole problem was found when he put the valve stem cap back on and that is when he heard air coming out !! I had a bad valve stem cap !!! She apologized again and said "no charge" !!! I gave her some "cross Pennie's" I made for her young family. She just had another baby girl about a year ago. I picked up the car after being sent out 3 times to find it ,finally finding in a bay in the furthest building away from the office. The man in charge asked me "Whats it doing in there" my reply was idiot don't know I don't work here". I traveled up to NE and a week later my battery died ,when AAA came the battery posts came right off and he told me that's what killed your battery and had to purchase another. I still like the place but something seems to be slipping in the service and I hope they can fix it before it's too late.

For a first time customer, you need to know to park your vehicle by the entrance to the office. They appear to service the fleets for a number of businesses, so the parking area around the garage is most always full. Don't park in front of the entrance to the work bays. They don't schedule appointments. I show up at 7 am, when they open, and over a five year period they have always completed my service by close of business that day. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but that has been my experience. When parts are needed, they often arrive in the afternoon. They will call you when the vehicle is ready for pick up. To me their pricing is fair and honest. I want quality work and I'm willing to pay for it. A friend of mine suspected her dealership was overcharging her and asked if I knew of a good mechanic. I took her to Voigt's and they were able to perform the work for much less. They are a good place to go, if you want a second opinion. Voigt's pointed out to me that my truck has a broken bolt on my exhaust, so there is an exhaust leak until things warm up. They said it really didn't hurt anything, so it's a repair that I am choosing to put off. As to my reviews always being positive. For a number of years I benefited from the reviews of others and found places I would have never know existed otherwise. Then I decided to submit reviews. I use Yelp to find good places to try. I figure that's what you are looking for too. You're not looking for a bad experience, but we all experience bad ones from time to time. It could be my bad day and not theirs. I don't know how anyone can feel justified charging that much money to put into bulbs. And then saw I was charged over $35 for "shop supplies." Which I was told were for cleaning. Never again! I was worried it would get worse over time, especially at highway speeds. Jaime got me in right away, and within just a couple of hours, my car was fixed at a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with the results. On top of the repair, Jaime went above and beyond. He helped me find the correct part number for my broken side mirror, cleared a warning for my expired tire mobility kit, and even recommended better-performing tires for the car. I found Eurotech when i was looking around for places to install my exhaust. I emailed a few months…read moreago to get a quote and they were very quick to get that to me and insured me they can get it done. I called in to make an appointment and was able to get in that week. I brought my car in before they opened and left my keys in the lockbox and came back to get my car after i was done at work and the exhaust was installed, they informed me of some setbacks but were able to get it installed still and charged me the original quote price which was 1/3 of what other shops quoted me. Will definitely come here in the future and have passed along the word to my family (family of 4 Audi's and a bmw), the guys i talked to were very nice and helpful and knew what they were doing.

On November 5 2024 I visited European Auto Repair to investigate their honesty and Pricing. I have…read moremaintained my 2002 Boxster as my family business is car repair. I'm from out of state and my equipment was left behind so if I need someone else to do repairs that would be too cumbersome I want a place I could trust in the future. The alternator job was just a test, nothing wrong with my alternator. So you know the vehicle was not with me at that time. The first question I ask could they replace an alternator in my vehicle with the new one I purchased? his responded that Florida laws state that it is illegal for any service shop to perform repairs all items must be purchased exclusively by the shop and no work can be repaired with outside items. Not true, First lie. Check the status if you don't believe me. A shop can turn down work but it's not illegal. Second question, if the item was purchased through them how long would it take to install? His response is 4.5 hrs. So you know, to facilitate access to the alternator there is a face plate that must be removed. I told him I removed the face plate, which took all of 7 min. The actual job of replacing an alternator on a Boxster is easier than changing spark plugs. It is one of the simplest repairs to perform. It takes no more than 35 minutes to remove, It is only held in place by two bolts and 2 wires in the back. If one of the bolts is stuck it requires several light blows with a hammer to loosen which would add 5 minutes. Reinstall, and repeat the process in reverse. If this job was undertaken by the slowest mechanic in all of Naples with no Porsche knowledge they could do it in 2 hr and that is being extremely generous with the time allotment. So if you choose to use this repair shop you have been duly warned. Such a shame, I truly wanted to say good things and use the shop for the future, especially after reading other reviews. I don't know, maybe they do good work but you are paying an exorbitant amount. The search continues. Now to check with other shops hoping to have better luck. labor cost should not exceed 2 hrs not 4.5 hrs. This is a simple job. price for labor should be 220 to 250 ,no more.
