I'll start by saying I had no problem with the work I am sure they did a great job. My problem was with service. There were 2 young ladies behind the counter who were very nice and helpful, and there was a mundane bald headed man who was the estimator, he offered no help no guidance and only went by my untrained knowledge to figure out what I may need for a car I'll be driving up north next week. When I came to pick up the car he said it was out side, I went out and didn't see it so I went back in and he asked me if I looked across the street , so I went and looked across the street, came back and still didn't see it. So I went back in and he informed me there were 26 spaces toward the back of the building. So I went back out and walked to the back of the 5 bay building "not there" on my way back I spotted it in a bay inside,so on my way back to the office he came out and signaled to me what's going on and I replied "its in the guarage bay" to which he yelled back "what's it doing in there" and I replied "I don't know I don't work here". He sent the girl out to apologize and ran and hid inside. I hope management at least reads this and tries to fix the problem. read more

I had gotten 2 quotes for my 2022 BMW x 3, front and rear brake pads, sensors and labor, and they were outrageous. One gave me a good quote but when I brought it in, they doubled it. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of a woman. I went on Yelp and Found Art and Naples Mechanics, and they texted me a quote, which was almost 1/2 of what the others quoted me. I asked him if there was a chance he was also going to double it when they saw the car? And he said, no, the price is the price. So I brought my car in. Naples Mechanics performed an annual service including oil change and tire rotation on my 2019 BMW X5. I was able to get an appointment in two days and the work was performed in about 4 hours. Art was very professional, a great communicator - he sent pictures of the work performed, submitted a written summary via email with detailed pricing and most impressive of all, cleaned my front floor mats - which were quite dirty. The cost was less than half of what it would have been at the dealer. This place is a true gem - honest work for reasonable prices. I couldn't recommend it more highly. read more

Artem is a VERY talented mechanic. My 2010 Lexus HS250H ABS light came on back in October but I had no time to deal with it. Left in my garage until I had time in January to address the situation. I originally had appointment with Lextech in Bonita Springs and after I towed the car to Lextech, I was told I need a brake booster and they quoted me around $1500. I told them to go ahead and about an hour later, they called me and informed me that Lexus cannot just sell the booster only but required me to buy 2 more parts of the brake system. Now the quote turned into $2500. At that point, I decided to go online and look for the OEM part, was able to get the part for a discount from MSRP. Lextech informed me that they will not give warranty if I bring the OEM part , I decided to contact Artem for the problem. He was very professional and told me to tow the car to him and car was left there for a few days while I waited for the part's arrival. Long story short, he replaced the part and it ended up only cost me $1100 for both part and labor. He was so honest that he called me after working on the car initially, he was able to do a virtual bleed of the brake system and the warning light had gone away. He told me I may be able to save $ by holding on to the booster as the car was driving normal after the virtual bleed of the brake system. Since I would have to pay 25% restocking fee of the part, I told him to just go ahead and replace the booster. After the job was done, he showed me there was a small internal leak in the original pump so it was a good thing we decided to replace it. I am NOT doubting his diagnostic skill as he was trying to save me $ and a lot of shops out there would have just replace the part instead of offering an alternative. He knows A LOT about different cars and works on brands like BMW, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lexus, etc. I will not hesitate to have him work on my other cars and he did already. Same great results. His rate is VERY reasonable compare to a lot of other shops. read more

When we arrived in Naples our car wouldn't start. I found Art online and called him at 8:45pm on a Friday. He was at my house the following morning to look at my car. So, I have a fairly new Volvo XC90. 24k miles. The tires were basically worn out and the car needed an alignment. Hard to believe but oh well...went ahead and did the regular maintenance. Still noticed a pulsing of the pedal and wheel under hard braking and I like my cars to be perfect. Called Volvo and they could get me in the first week in FEB! So, I went on Yelp and found Art. OMG!!!!! I will NEVER use any other mechanic for any of my vehicles, including my prized 2011 911. This guy is the real deal. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the car I was interested in is in Naples, Florida (yes, a symptom of the somewhat chronic car shortage during the second spring and summer of the pandemic). Obviously I'd be somewhat of an idiot to fly across the country to pick up a car that may or may not make it back to the west, so on to Yelp I go and, fortunately, I find Art. He has great reviews here for a reason. I communicated with Art via Yelp to let him know the general dimensions of my situation and where the car was and I spoke with him on the phone the next day, finding him extremely personable and entirely professional. I'd been looking for months for cars all over the US so I'd looked up a few people who do pre-purchase inspections, when it looked like I might have a potential vehicle, so by now I have a pretty good idea of that landscape. Art's fee for prepurchase inspection is entirely reasonable and significantly lower than many, by the way. The next day he went out to the dealership to look at the car. When I contacted the sales person there to take care of some remaining business he mentioned that Art did an extremely thorough job and spent at least an hour and a half looking at this car, an Acura MDX. He said not only did he very obviously know his stuff and that he was obviously extremely diligent but that they were very impressed with him and would like to give him work. I would say that's fairly high praise from someone who, after all, is kind of on the other side of the equation in most instances when you buy a car (in fact, in my experience, there's often someone of an adversarial relationship between car salesmen and inspection mechanics, and even with the actual car buyer). Art has past experience selling cars as well as his expertise as a mechanic, so if the dealership is going to try to hide something or quickly temporarily patch something up he is going to know all the tricks. Definitely a valuable bit of background. In record time, very shortly after he left the dealership, Art sent me my report via text message and e-mail, photos along with a PDF file with a checklist of all of the points that he inspected and the few comments he had regarding things to be addressed or at least recognized, right down to the tiniest chips on the paint and that kind of thing (and here we're talking about diameters of probably 2 to 4 mm). The car turned out to be in great shape, just in need of a bit of an alignment and perhaps for my mechanic to have a look at my rear brakes once I get back to Vegas. Anyway, I can't praise Art enough. He made all the difference and I feel confident in driving this car back across the US. I'm flying out tomorrow to do so. Thanks, Art! read more

After other mechanics recommended I replace my manifold gaskets ($$$$$), Artem diagnosed my tick using his mechanic school education and even directed my ear into the tick. I messaged Art here on Yelp at 7 p.m. tonight after my driver's side headlight bulb suddenly burnt out and got a near-instant reply and he was at the house by 7:40 p.m. Turns out, it wasn't as simple as replacing the bulb (thanks Volkswagen for engineering everything so that repairs can never be simple). Something was going on with the wiring connecting the bulb to the power source -- where held at certain angles outside of the headlight, it worked at full brightness, and at others, it was weak and/or flickering. This was only discovered because Art took apart the headlight and tested the connection on each part in it. Anyone else would've told me to replace the whole headlight and been done with it, but he worked to get the connection stable for an hour and a half in the driveway, at night -- and then even jumped our family's other car that was suddenly not starting. This was all for a tremendously budget-friendly price and with such kind and quick service this close to Christmas. What started as a real concern for me when the indicator light came on today ended with the discovery of who will now be the family mechanic I'm sure. I cannot recommend Art enough! read more

BEWARE!!!! Art charged me a lot of money to fix my brakes. 6 weeks later, my brakes went out. We called him several times to come help to repair what he just "repaired". After checking it out ourselves, we came to the conclusion the master cylinder Art just put in was not functioning properly. Again, several more calls to Art but he was a no show. Since we just paid him $159.99 for a new master cylinder (that he only paid $80.00 for) and he would not come to fix his work - we asked that he just send us the receipt so we can exchange the broken one for a new one and not to worry, we know he up charged the part, but we don't care. We just don't want to pay for another one. Art would not even provide us with the receipt. After not having a car for a week, waiting for Art, we had to purchase another master cylinder and install it ourselves. BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

Of course we ran over a bolt or something, that immediately destroyed my tire, at about 5:45 pm on a Sunday. I called Art around 6, as my tire was deflating before my eyes, and he said he'd be there that evening. At first he said about an hour and a half, but he was coming from San Mateo to Concord, so it was okay with me when I had to call him at 8:30 to find out where he was, and he answered and said he'd be there in about 20 minutes because he was still on the highway. He showed up at 9 and by 9:30 my tire was patched and the pressure in both of my back tires had been inflated to match each other. Art was great for my Mercedes lock actuator fix. Reasonable fee and he was able to fix it in my parking lot. I work from home so it's much more convenient for me. He has all the tools in his truck, it took him 2 hours to remove window regulator, fix the lock issue (common issue with W164 Mercedes ml) and put it all back. Great guy, easy communication.
