He also helped me understand why the rear sway bar link might have been broken prior to our buying the car when it was towed, which may help me get the repair covered by the dealer. His prices were consistent with the other shop but he topped off my coolant as well, which the other shop wanted to charge for. All of this to say this experience at Jun's was a blessing. First time, my clutch gave out right in front of their shop. I'm talking perfect timing--coasted right into their lot like the truck knew where it needed to be. I already knew it was the clutch, so I didn't need a big diagnostic song and dance. The mechanic came out, confirmed it, no upsell nonsense. They got it done in a day and even sent me pictures during the repair like a proud parent updating me on my truck's progress. Second time, same truck--this thing's dramatic. I lost all power out of nowhere. I thought, "No big deal, probably a simple fix. I've Googled stuff before." Then I pulled off the timing cover and found the timing belt snapped clean off. Not great. I shopped around and got quoted some wild prices--like, "just buy a new truck" level ridiculous. A couple places didn't even bother telling me what was wrong, just that I needed a whole new engine. No thanks. So I went back to this shop. Sam asked a few smart questions, figured out what kind of engine I had, and educated me on how it could actually be repaired--not replaced. He even helped me get it towed over for next to nothing (less than 5 miles). Total lifesaver. They've been transparent the whole time. I even swung by mid-repair like a nosy neighbor and got to see the progress. It really seems like once they've got the parts, they're fast and efficient--like one-day turnaround kind of fast. Finally, the noise got more and more frequent and I decided I just couldn't ignore it any longer. I'd have to find a mechanic. But, you know mechanics. I didn't want one who would rip me off. So, I turned to Yelp. Thank you, Yelp! Doug diagnosed that scary noise as my brake caliper (unfortunately), and showed me exactly how it was causing my brake pad to wear down unevenly. Then he got to work fixing my car. In the meantime, I called my father on the east coast (who listens to Car Talk), he agreed with the diagnosis and thought Doug was charging me a fair price for brake caliper replacement and a brake fluid flush. While he had my car, Doug did a full safety inspection which gave me peace of mind that when I drove out of there, my car was in great working order and Doug even gave me some tips for things like my next oil change. All in all, I felt like not only did I get my car repaired at Simply Auto, I found a mechanic I can trust in Doug and a place that I know that I can go back to the next time I have a problem. And that's a pretty valuable thing.

When I got my car back I noticed that some of the things that I asked for were not done and I was still being charged $69. On the paperwork Tony put in the wrong oil when I confronted him about it he acknowledged that he didnt do the things I ask and then refunded some of the money. As for the oil change which cost $98, he says the paper is wrong and he did the oil change. But he never reset the computer..still says 50% oil and never put a "next service date" sticker. So how am I suppose to believe him. As for the struts he kept pulling up something that wouldn't even fit on my car. Also during that time he repositioned my license plate without my consent to the center when I like mine on the left side. I kept calling to speak with the owner, Doug and Tony always answers and tells me he isn't available. I'm writing this review to let everyone know that this mechanic is not knowledgeable or trustworthy. I will not be bringing my car back to this place.

They took a few days to look over the car and found that the master cylinder we replaced was either not operational or malfunctioning causing the brakes to lock up. Car runs great now and they even replaced my radiator as it was leaking due to high wear and tear when we kept trying to drive the car home (short distances) when the brakes were locking up. One thing that can be better is communications between dealer and customer. Kept having to call daily for an update on findings, repairs, estimated time of completion. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and I myself will be coming back here for our Acura MDX maintenance.
