My sons truck finally died, but it couldn't stay at Tire Plus and it couldn't be driven. AKA~ we had it towed tot he house for now. John was our tow truck extraordinaire, he quickly loaded the pickup truck onto the lift and brought it the whole 2 miles to our house and parked it neatly in our driveway. We were quoted about an hour when we called it in and went and had lunch when we got the call from John that he could be there in ten minutes- I think that was right at 40 minutes. So they promised and delivered in the time frame. I picked this company because it has been in business for 30 + years. I figured you wouldn't be around that long if you weren't good. I will say- when I called the number on Google it gave me an automated message that the mailbox was not set up for the phone number. I went to their website and they had the same number listed so I tried again with success. Phone skills have definitely gone by the wayside though- this is the 2nd towing company I have used in the last several months and neither took my name or number. I understand they can see my number- but they could at least say that. Confirm it. Something. I answer phones for work and there is something definitely lacking there. But the driver was well spoken both on the phone and in person. read more

This company and specifically, the driver, Neil, is outstanding!! This company was a lifesaver after Metro Tow left me stranded on the side of 295 for over 5 hours. I used my car insurance's roadside assistance to get a tow truck after my car unexpectedly had a malfunction requiring me to pull over and making my car inoperable. Metro was originally contacted and gave my roadside assistance company the runaround for about 5 hours before I demanded a new company. I did not feel safe in my location on the side of the highway and darkness was approaching. Auto Store Towing received the request and quickly came to my aid. They were in frequent contact with me and got there quickly. Both me and my roadside assistance company wish this company had been called first. I know who my first call will be for any future tows. So thankful for their quick and courteous assistance! read more

Requested a tow through my insurance. They assigned Auto Store Towing. ETA was 70-80 minutes. 95 minutes later I was on the phone with them. Said it was canceled. Called my insurance company, it was not. Called them back and gave some excuse. Unreliable, unprofessional. Will never use them again, and you shouldn't either. read more

Big thank you to Auto Store Towing and Ross, our tower! Stranded by an overheated car I called BMW roadside assist who called a towing company that had us waiting over 3 hours. Each time we called dispatch they kept saying they'd be there in 30-40 mins. We ended up cancelling them and found Auto Store Towing with a 5 star rating and called them. The 5 star rating is well deserved!!! We were told they could be there in 30mins. The driver called us back and said he'd be there in 20mins and arrived 15 mins later!! This is a fabulous company that gave us a time of pickup and updated us by phone and couldn't have been more courteous or professional!! They also charged us half as much as the other Towing company's fee. If you need a tow, call this company...right now!! read more

This company towed my car and bent my fender in the process and will not take responsibility for it they just hang up on me . The fender was recently replaced and I know was in perfect condition , this is a very poor quality company and would never recommend them, I am now haveing to file police reports and take other avenues to have my car repaired because of their unprofessionalism and shadyness read more

I requested roadside assistance through my insurance app on my phone around 10:15 pm. Auto Store Towing accepted the job. The ETA for the truck was 1 hour, after 90 minutes I attempted to contact Auto Store directly through the app. No one answered the phone so I contacted my insurance company for answers. The insurance representative was told that they could not do the job. My phone number was listed in the request but, no phone call! Now it is midnight and no one is on their way to get me safely off the road. Why accept the job if you know you can't complete it? What if this was my wife waiting to be picked up? You should not be in the towing business if you accept jobs to save people from dangerous situations, then not even have the decency to call the person who is dealing with a broken down car waiting to be removed from harms way. You stole more than 2 hours of my life! Thankfully a responsible towing company came to rescue my car and myself an hour later but they were on time with their ETA, I received five text messages updating me on the drivers location, etc (This was not Auto Store Towing and I don't want the name of the other towing company to be associated with them in any way). Do yourself a favor and move on to the next towing company. read more

SPEEDY RESPONSE AND FRIENDLY ASSISTANCE. Had a work truck breakdown on the Mayport flyover at 7am - so horrible spot and heavy traffic flow. Jason was on the spot within 20-30 minutes and checked out our battery and starter before towing it to the garage. They came within the hour promised, had our car on their truck very quickly and we were on our way. They even offered to drive us back to our house rather than having a friend come get us. Had my car towed. Came promptly and without issue. The issues arose with them dropping the car off at the wrong location. Claimed all day and thru multiple phone calls they dropped the car off at the dealership and the keys were in the lock box. Turns out driver had the keys the whole time and they also couldn't bring the keys to me as he was alone in the shop. Had to drive to their shop to get my keys back. Complete waste of time and an absolute s**tshow of a company. Do not use them unless you like having your car dropped off at the wrong location and being lied to. read more
