Really great experience here. Matthew helped me out and allowed me to bring in information from a previous diagnosis I had with another shop regarding cylinder misfire and having to replace my spark plugs and wires. Super helpful and provided a cost estimate as well as a run down of the parts the place was going to use for my job. Hospitable too, and I was allowed to stay in the office and use their wifi while waiting for my job to finish. This is my second time here and I highly recommend this place!

Headline: The Ultimate Shop for Performance Builds and Precision Tuning in LA! Auto Squad Repair is hands down the best shop in Los Angeles for serious enthusiasts. They've handled my car's transformation from stock to Stage 2, and we are currently pushing for Stage 3 with a new intercooler, downpipe, and ECU tuning. I even trust them with my BMW M8, which they've upgraded with KW V4 suspension and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Since I love canyon driving, they performed a custom performance alignment specifically tailored for mountain roads. The handling is now absolutely incredible--precise and planted. Whether it's custom wheel fitment or complex performance upgrades, their patience and attention to detail are unmatched. I also do all my routine maintenance and oil changes here because the prices are fair and the mechanics are extremely meticulous. The owner is a great person who truly cares about cars. Matt and his crew are extremely helpful in answering any questions you may have about your vehicle. If you're looking for quality, care, speed and price this is the repair shop you have to visit. Whatever you do, DO NOT GET AN ALIGNMENT HERE. Fucking worst alignment of my life. My car was just driving a little bit crooked so I brought it here for an alignment, and Chao 100% made it worse. The steering wheel was never straight after he aligned it. I drove all the way from San Gabriel to get it fixed for the second time and it's still not correct. Brushed it off for a year and gave my car to my sister, 1 year later all the tires are bald and uneven. read more

I don't trust anyone with my vehicle unless it's with him. He is the Nikola Jokic in the automotive industry - extremely talented and hard working. I recently brought my Mercedes GLE over here for a check engine light and general service, and I must say the techs and manager were very polite and got the job done quickly. The price for the service was fair in my opinion, less than what I would have paid for at the dealership. They were straight forward with me and did not try to upsell me on everything. I hated going to the dealership and have them con you into doing these "preventative" services. This is my new go to spot for all of my vehicle needs. Listen women and men out there who like me know nothing about car repairs and maintenance. I urge you to contact Mathew. He is incredible. I explained to him about my car situation. He patiently explained to me what needed to be done. He sent me the estimate. The following day after reviewing the estimate, I didn't know what to do. I decided to send him a text and to be honest with him that at the moment it was not in my budget. Mathew said he would do the oil change and an inspection of the car. I agreed and took my car to him. After the inspection Mathew told me what was priority and what could wait. He was very honest with me. I finally found an honest technician with a plus that he is very nice and patient. Please do not hesitate and call Mathew. read more

I bought a used PT Cruiser CONVERTABLE for the weekends. I went on Yelp to find a reliable mechanic by my house. The first place I went to to get my car inspected mentioned he does not like to work on PT Cruisers. That company just lost my business. I needed my CONVERTABLE top fixed. I chose Chao because he was a Tesla mechanic and his reviews were awesome. They were not lying. I would recommend this shop for auto repairs. And his shop was super clean and organized. Came here cause I noticed I had a transmission leak , I thought it will be an arm and a leg and I thought I would need a new transmission. This guy is very honest and told me I need o rings and that's it , he said it was an easy fix I should do it myself so he won't charge me . As I'm getting ready to leave he stops me and says I'll do it for you no charge . read more

Excellent service, honest, reliable, and genuinely helpful! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Auto Squad DB in Diamond Bar. From the moment I contacted them, the service was exceptional. I worked directly with the owner, Matt, and he was absolutely great. He was attentive, responsive, professional, and went above and beyond throughout the entire process. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted with friendly, attentive service right away, and they immediately started the diagnostic on my car. What really stood out to me was how honest and trustworthy they were. They explained exactly what was wrong with my car and what actually needed to be done without trying to upsell me or recommend unnecessary repairs. Everything was explained in a way that I could actually understand, which I really appreciated. And then, of course, I had to make things a little more complicated by losing my key fob! Matt and the team were incredibly patient and went out of their way to help me look for it, search the car, and even help me figure out which locksmith would be the best option. They absolutely did not have to go that far out of their way, but they did- and that meant a lot. They also kept me informed throughout the process with updates by text and phone calls, so I never felt like I was left wondering what was happening with my car. They were always available to answer questions and let me know what I needed to do next. One thing that really confirmed for me that I was dealing with an honest shop was actually overhearing Matt talking with another potential customer. He was completely upfront with them and even explained why he wouldn't recommend doing a particular repair because it would cost too much and wouldn't make sense financially. That told me a lot about the kind of business he runs. He genuinely seems to care about doing what's best for the customer- not just making money. That kind of honesty and customer service is hard to find these days. Auto Squad DB exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic they can trust. The lot is full of European cars that needed service & this may indicate the number of people using their service. So for now, the four-stars is only because we the car did not need a major repair.
