I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

They replaced my intake manifold gasket, BUT a P0200 engine code appeared afterward. I went back the next day and explained the issue. They told me they had left an injector unplugged and instructed me to clear the code, saying it would reset. The code was P0200, so I followed their instructions and cleared it. The code went away. The next day, I drove the car and it suddenly started shaking while sitting at red lights -- something it had never done in the five years I've owned this car. I checked the engine codes again, and P0200 had returned. I went back again and explained what I had experienced. They then told me that, in order to address the P0200 issue, they would first have to start by checking for vacuum leaks. This is where I became frustrated. P0200 is an injector circuit malfunction code, so I didn't understand why I was being told that I needed to start with vacuum leaks in order to address that specific code. I had already paid $500 for the initial service, and now I was dealing with a new engine code and a new shaking issue that the car had never had in the five years I've owned it. After declining any further service, I picked up my car from the shop. I then noticed a scratch along with a missing piece of rubber trim on my front bumper. I had not noticed either issue before bringing my car to the shop. The shop claimed they did not hit anything with the car, but they are also ordering me a replacement rubber piece. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience. As a first-time customer, I came in expecting to have my original issue addressed, paid $500 for the service, and left with a new engine code, a new shaking issue, and damage/missing trim that I had not noticed before bringing the car in. Based on my experience, I won't be returning. I would recommend that anyone considering this shop be aware of what happened to me and carefully inspect their vehicle before leaving the shop. It turned out it was coming from underneath my supercharger! I talked with Audi before, not knowing exactly where the leak was originating from, expecting the worst ( A little history ..My wife's 2019 Audi S5 needed a thermostat replaced under warranty years ago (typical issue) and it required removing the supercharger at about $3k years ago / now it would be about $6K, per Audi!) Until now, besides tires and alignments this is the first time I ever took a car in for service... I also have a a 2005 911S. I guess I have trust issues. During the process, Joey communicated and sent pictures showing where the leak was coming from. When I picked up my car at the shop I asked if I could see the parts, and I recognized the parts... thermostat, water pump, PCV valve (weird looking PVC valve), hoses, Supercharger belt.... In conversations with him I felt he was honest, about $1/2 what Audi was going to charge, they are familiar with Audi and Porsche typical issues, and pointed my other known issues out. He gave me his honest opinion and he did not PUSH additional services on me as if it was urgent! Could I have found a less expensive place? Possibly, but I had piece of mind.... honesty, quality, and the car was done in 1.5 days. It has been about 3 weeks and no leaks.

I went on Yelp to find the closest tire shop that had the cheapest tire available same day because I wasn't feeling comfortable going back on the freeway on a spare. I was able to secure a tire for about $145 (tire, fees, and tax) on Tire Choice's website and also made an online appointment to get it replaced within the hour. I was mentally exhausted and just really wanted to head home and worry about searching for deals on better sets of tires later. When I got to Tire Choice, I was quickly greeted by Gina at the front. I told her exactly what I wanted to get done to avoid wasting her time hoping to up sell me better tires, and she got the message that I really just wanted to be able to quickly get back on the road again without pressuring me into changing all four of my tires. Gina was a doll and very pleasant to converse with. She was able to effectively multitask (answering phones, getting quotes for other customers, giving instructions to the mechanics), while we shared stories about our kids (my children and her fur babies). I think I spent 20 minutes max there and my tire was done. I was so happy! My overall experience at Tire Choice Auto Service Center in Diamond Bar was amazing.

The repair came out great and it took around two days. Tony came to my house and picked up the wheel. Unfortunately the paint correction did not match the rim and also my tire was leaking where the repair was made (it wasn't leaking even when the rim was dented). So I contacted Tony again to see what he can do. He said the paint came off the machine and that's what it analyzed it as and was willing to do it again so I said sure since the paint came out black instead of blue. He also offered to check on the tire and rebead the seal. So he picked up the wheel again, and this time it took almost two weeks to be done with the repair and this was only the tire portion. He advised that the paint correction would take another couple of days. Honestly just wanted the wheel back since I was out of a car for two weeks already and who knows how much longer it would take to get the wheel back. He came and dropped it off and installed the wheel and the tire is holding air for now, but he did recommend me to just get a new tire if it leaks again which I will do. This time though, when I got the wheel back, it had a new chip near the center which wasn't there before from the original pick up nor the first repair. As far as value and convenience of picking up and delivering goes, I'd say it's fair and beats the competitors. Otherwise, I wasn't too thrilled about the repair. Update: Bumped up one star since tire repairs aren't part of their job description and Tony went out of his way to do it. Leaving it 3 stars due to paint issues and poor communication where I have to ask for updates every couple of days.

Reporting a strange interaction on service I wanted completed…read more I took my car to Longo Lexus 2 weeks ago and the service advisor said to keep an eye out on the water pump as it is rattling and starting to make a lot of noise but no leak at that point. Since then it has been leaking pink coolant fluid so it appears I definitely have a leak. I searched for a Lexus specialist with the mindset that I wanted to change out the water pump as recommended by Longo if I start to see a leak. I called ATC to request a quote as I knew what was wrong with it and what I wanted to replace. He said he doesn't provide quotes without looking at it regardless if the customer already knows what to replace. So he said to bring it by the next day for a diagnosis and when I asked whether my wife can wait there while he diagnosed it he responded with a scoff saying he has many cars to look at and that she will just have to drop it off. I told him this would be difficult as we don't have a spare care but that she would be able to wait if he provided a specific time he wanted her to come. He again scoffed and said it doesn't work that way and told me to just go back to Longo. I was really hoping to give a small business a shot but seems like he doesn't care to gain more business. He could have just given me a quote which I assume would be better than the dealership and I would have hired him. Would have been a 1 star but giving 2 stars to give him the benefit of doubt that he was having a bad day?
