After having my truck detailed (including tip) $190, I thought I would be nice and have my friends car vacuumed and washed ($29.78), sadly I didn't get the helpful guy who had been there in the morning when I brought my Truck in, instead I got the owner.... Since having the second vehicle cleaned was an after thought, I hurried to clean out all the crap inside and put it in the trunk. I explained to one of the guys that there was a bag of cat litter that had spilled (clean, cat litter) on the floor in the back seat.... he didn't seem to think it was a problem. I went in to pay and after ringing up the Truck detailing from earlier and the car wash for the second car, the owner came in to ask what I wanted done with the back seat of the car.... I'm sure I gave him a stupid look and told him I wanted it vacuumed. He said he wasn't going to vacuum up the cat litter... I think I said,.,"really?" Then I told the girl behind the counter to refund me for the car wash she had just rung up. I don't know... anyway... I guess I figured that mister owner would have done a little more problem solving... like...oh... all the litter is on the floor mat, so If I pick it up I can dump it in the garbage can and then there is just a little to vacuum up. Or... used a paper cup to scoop it out, or use his hands, or..... the list could go on... So... I guess I'll just do it myself, and next time I have my car detailed, washed, waxed, or whatever....I'll save the $149 they charged me, plus the tax, and $30 tip, and go somewhere else.... you know what... If I can find someone who delivers great customer service, knows how to be a problem solver so I don't have to do the thinking for them. I'd pay them double....
Oh... and driving back to work I realized they forgot to vacuum out the center console of the truck.... which I had so kindly emptied this morning before I dropped it off. Other than that the truck looks pretty good.
Oh... and to the guy who helped me earlier this morning and the cashier... thanks for trying to make up for the bad customer service by your employer... good thing this guy has decent people working for him. read more
