MUST READ FOR THOSE WITH CREDIT SCORE LOW 500s AND WITH DELINQUENT IN CREDIT SCORE: Really amazing place. I have a credit score of 508 and I also had delinquent in my credit report due to co-signing with a friend. She hadn't made the payments and so I took the heat. I've tried 3 places prior to coming here and they all were not able to help me without me having a co-signer. I didn't give up hope yet, so I called Auto Resources and Leo answered and I explained him my situation and that no one was able to help me, he guaranteed me that he would do all his best to help me and that I would leave today with A car regardless of the situation. I didn't believe him but I said okay, and then he told me how soon could I get there, I said I wasn't sure because I don't have a ride. Leo OFFERED to pick me up, and so I said thank you! No one has ever done that. Let's just say, I left this place with my own car in ONLY my name. All I had to do was put a 3000$ deposit down for a car that is good on gas. I also want to give a huge thank you to Jose (the boss man). He was able to pick up the pieces that the bank was unable to handle for me. He's really nice and friendly and made me feel very welcomed. I would not have been able to get a car if it wasn't for them. I was in and out of this place within 2 hours (which is really good considering the fact my credit is all bad). Yesterday evening, I put in an inquiry regarding a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas. This morning a lady from the dealership called to ask about my inquiry. The level of customer service provided by her shows that she was about the numbers and not about the customer service experience. The first question I asked was regarding Carfax. This dealership does not use Carfax. They do use an alternative which she was going to provided. I explained that I knew this car was a rental with two previous owners. I wanted to know if it came directly from a rental company or from the auction. Her answer was the first one of trying to deflect the questions rather than explain with an answers. After pressing her for an explanation was that with the report that they would pull up it would be uncertain if they knew where they purchased the vehicle from. The main reason asking this question is to know where the vehicle was rented and type of climate the vehicle was normally in. Where things went South was I inquired about the out the door price. She insisted that I had to come into the dealership in order to get the out door price. I did acknowledge that I was looking at a similar vehicle with 2000 miles more at a Chowchilla location that was slightly below their asking price. However, I didn't want to support local, which is why I inquired through them. When I acquired about the days that the vehicle had been on the lot, she insisted that they owner their cars, which does not impact the amount of length that they are staying on the lot. Which I would think that the owners would not be fond of especially with a car that is sitting on the lot for over 100 days. That led me to the conclusion that if they purchased it from auction, that means they got it at a really low price and are overcharging on the vehicle. When I had mentioned that Chowchilla provided the out the door price she then is instead to go there for business. Instead of trying to keep me as a customer she was willing to give the other dealership, the opportunity to have the purchase. It would be reasonable to think she would get another sales person or management trying to speak with me to inquire more about the car rather than lose the business. I will be gladly taking my business elsewhere, which is why I am posting such a negative review regarding this business. It makes it feel as if it's only about the numbers that they care about and not the customer. read more

I purchased a Ford F150, 2007 for model resources in Merced. A year and a half later the engine blew up so I had to purchase another engine from the Ford dealership. Upon taking out the old one that had blew up, it was discovered that the engine I had taken out was from a 2005 Ford F150 that had come out of the here in at Pick n Pull here in Merced. I purchased a vehicle from this company paid $1000 more then I wanted and then before my first payment the check engine light comes on and I'm told well it's after 30 days we cant work on it we won't get paid unless the office approves called the office several times during lunches and breaks and they tell me service is going to call and it will be up to them if they can do the work. The same service that said it was up to the office. Was told I would receive a call before my lunch break is over and did I get a call? No! This is my worst experience with a car place I have gotten a great experience from A+ motors the man's name was Ali. I wish I had went to him this time. I can tell you no one in my family will ever go back to this place and if any of my customers ask me about a car place I will tell them all about Auto Resources and how they don't care for their customers. Good thing I work in the customer service field and will be sure that I inform my customers of this experience. For reference the vehicle I purchased was at the end of February and issues started before 30 days and they reset my screens on my car assuring me they did service it. Background: We are a family of 5 with a newborn, a toddler, and a preschooler. We were searching for an SUV that would fit our family, especially in the sense of space. So that means we would need room for a stroller, car seats, and any other necessities that my family would need. I did not purchase from this establishment. My main reason being that customer service is a huge factor. I hated our sales rep within the first 30 minutes of being there. And I kept this question in mind "Why would I purchase anything from someone I learned to hate within 30 minutes?" Even if you give me a different sales rep, the guy still represents the establishment that AR hired because he would seem as a good fit to the team. I hate to say this, but guilt by association. He pretty much set the standard for AR. Why I hated him: 1) Salesman is rude. Assumed that we were going to purchase from them, regardless of how many times we told him we just wanted to look at a their car selection before moving forward to checking credit score. [In essence, he wanted to see if we were worth his time. And he blatantly made it obvious when he rushed out of the office after running my credit score and quickly pushed us to check out the car selection.] 2) Salesman held my driver's license as hostage. Yes. He did. I asked for it back several times while he insisted there's a car for us and did not give it back until his manager gave it back to me. 3) Salesman lied about the car sticker price. Did not want to look at the website or their inventory stock to ensure the pricing. Pretended he did not know about any price reduction. For some reason, sales 4) Salesman was going take my husband to take the SUV while leaving me with my kids. So if I'm the one getting the car, 5) He tried to push us to get a minivan when we wanted an SUV. We knew what we wanted, and we didn't want to change our minds about what we wanted. There was a Yukon XL they had which was mentioned on #4, but at this point, we did not like him at all and they were still holding my driver's license that I requested to take back several times. I would never go back here again after dealing with all that. Plus don't give them your number. I would give no stars if I could!! This is going to be a long and lengthy review but I want to share my personal experience. They communicate through text which is a horrible mistake when you mistreat your customers!! My friend referred me here? She had a bit of a difficult time with some things but it sounded like the good out weighed the bad? She was told if she referred people to their place of business they would give her $200 off the vehicle she purchased. That was not credited to her even though I gave her name, number and address. I went in with my vehicle to see what I could do as far as a trade or just to buy another car. I looked at the vehicle I was interested in, one of the major selling factors was an automatic start which I was told it worked and it didn't once I got it. My fault for not checking and believing. The deal was they would take in my trade and pay it off and I would put $3500 down. $3000 up front another $500 in a few weeks. My pervious vehicle was not in the best shape, however they could clearly see that, they also took it for a test drive so they new what they were getting into and they still agreed to take it and pay it off. We had a set date for the rest of the $500 deposit that was left for whatever reason about 2 weeks after I received a text telling me the deposit was 5 days late. I called to confirm and it wasn't. Some days pass before my deposit is still do and I receive another message that now the $500 is 15 days late. Again it wasn't obviously a mess up on their end. When it came time for the deposit to be due they text me and asked if I would be calling that day and I said yes. They stated that they still had my card on file so I figured to make it easier fine go ahead and charge my card, moment's later they said there was an additional $300 for the trade in. I asked if we could plan for that to be taken at another time, no response. Later in the afternoon I went to go get gas. I happened to check my account and they took $837 and some change without my consent. My consent was for the $500. I was not notified until the day of the payment about the additional $337 they would be taking until that day. I called and asked to speak to a manager, of course one was not available. I sent a text again, "so you guys are going to take an additional $337 without my consent". The response was there was an additional fee for the pay off we didn't know about and it was do today. I said I need a manager to call me now! Moments later I receive a call from the manager? His name was Moe I told him about the issue and all his response was I'm sorry. That's it. I thankfully get paid weekly but here I am with $200 left in my account toast the week because they took and additional amount without telling me first. I stated how the automatic start does not work and that was a big selling point for me how it was my fault I didn't check and how as soon as they found out about the additional $337 they should have notified me so I could plan accordingly. Again the only response I could get was I. Sorry. He asked what vehicle I tried in and I told him he then throws in my face, "oh the one I'm dumping alot of money into so I can get it off my lot". Who's fault is that? Not mine, I didn't force then to take the trade they said they would, I didn't force or even asked if they would pay it off. That was Again them. I also stated how my friend did not receive the $200 off her vehicle for referring me and he said he would look into it he has to talk to my sales person. He is the manager, I said I can give you her name you can look up her sales person since her sales person was the one who told her to refer people to their place of business. Again he said ok I'm sorry have a good day. I stated I was going to give a bad review because of all of this and I hung up. He called back and I did not answer, he then proceeds to send me a text saying good luck getting your friends money, I was going to help but since you are giving a bad review I'm not now. Thankfully I'm done dealing with them everything is now through the bank. Decide for your self but I would stay away. Find somewhere that treats you like a valued customer. I felt like the response was if you went to eat at a restaurant and you had hair in your food and they just picked it out and said continue. Stay as far away as possible. read more

I applied online for a specific car and when i get there they do not have the car on any of the 3 lots. Jay is the one that i was told to ask for when i got there. I have bad credit and was shown only two cars that i can chose from. The car was all dirty inside despite Jay telling me it was clean. I told him to give me back my driver's license and title to my car because i wanted to leave since the car i wanted wasnt even there. If i had known i wouldnt have driven from modesto to merced. He didnt return it to me only sent someone else to help me. ADAM, was very honest and helpful. He did help me find a car and took time to show me a car that i did end up getting. Unfortunately he gave me back to JAY and he did the paperwork. JAY didnt even go over the paperwork with me nothing was explained and when i asked questions he acted as if it was bothering him. Very rude. He threw my license to me across the desk . Had my daughter stick the dmv paper in the window and droped all my paperwork on the ground then shoved them into my folder all messed up and threw it in the car. He is the rudest person i have ever come across. If it wasnt for ADAM i would of walked away and said screw you to him for being such a dick. My advice: enter with caution and dont let JAY HELP YOU. This business should be more specific about their 30 day policy. Especially if your in communication with the customer should verify the vehicle is still under warranty not until the day you take the vehicle to the shop especially when you live an hour away. A nice couple questions would go a long way and help prevent this. Dealt with better companies that were more specific. Note seems like their cars has problems. Hi didn't really have a very good time with these people at all. I bought a truck from them not even three weeks later the head blew up in it. I was accused of racing it and told that I needed to pay for it. I don't do that kind of stuff I had a guy on Facebook find me from a truck club and he told me he owned it and he modified it and did all the stuff to it. I was in shock I come to find out he sold him that truck where it was ready to go out. I told the dealership everything that happened they made me pay $1500 and ended up having to replace the head gasket and do some other things. I got the truck back with one broken key front parts were missing they were supposed to be with the truck when it was returned. I also have a loud ticking in the engine compartment now. I tried to contact them to find the mechanics to help me with the warranty but they only gave me excuses and don't have any answers. I am very dissatisfied with these people. I can only think of karma being the end result for these people and I am not exactly sure what I did to anyone there because I don't know anyone there and I got treated like nobody and all they wanted was my money and they gave me a piece of junk. Where to even begin with these clowns. I got in touch with one of the dealers, Yosef, via Facebook after contacting about an ad for a car I was interested in. The price seemed right, so I wanted to check it out. The first red flag was that Yosef wouldn't tell me anything over the phone. He insisted that I come in, which was okay at the time considering I wanted to see the car in person. When I got there, all of the salesmen immediately surrounded my car like f***ing vultures. I should have just drive off then, but I didn't. I went inside the office and Yosef took all of my information immediately. Naively, I thought this was normal. It is not, especially considering I told him right off the bat that I only had 20 minutes to check out the car and would come back tomorrow to deal with business if I decided to buy the car. I DID NOT commit to anything and did not give consent for my credit to be run. HE TOOK MY DRIVER's LICENSE AND DID NOT GIVE IT BACK. But, I will come back to this point. While I was at the lot, Yosef walked me around to a few different cars. Not really interested, I asked him about the car I contacted him for, a Kia Optima. He then, AFTER TAKING ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFO AND RUNNING MY CREDIT, tells me he sold the car yesterday. Right then and there I knew I was done dealing with this sleazebag. I told him I needed to go, so we walked back to the office where Yosef then went to get his manager, who continued to try and talk me into buying something then and there. I told them I was running late for a prior engagement and needed to go. They INSISTED they drive me in one of the cars to my appointment.....What the F***!!! I said no and left, at this point pretty worked up and flustered. I left without my driver's license. Partially my fault for forgetting it, but I was angry and wanted out of that office ASAP. The next morning, I realized it was missing and called back. Yosef had a bad attitude, telling me I rushed out too quickly and that's why I didn't get it back. I went to the office immediately as it opened, where Yosef was waiting. I told him to give me my license back, to which he ignored me and asked if I would come back later in the day to check out more cars. I said "no, and I will not be doing business here." Then he has the nerve to ask me "Aww why?" -- You've got to be kidding. I told him again that I need my license and that it should have been given back to me yesterday before we even walked the lot. He rolled his eyes at me. Luckily (not for them) another customer walked in, so Yosef turned and went to the back office to get my license. I do believe that if another customer had not walked in, he would have kept harassing me. Do not do business here. Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. I will also add, the one other car Yosef showed me ran like sh** and I wouldn't have even taken it for a test drive if I did have the time.... Merced AR is a true 100% living prime example of the sleazy car salesman stereotype. Save yourself the time and stress and avoid this place. read more

I has purchased a vehicle from auto resource and they report my car 3 weeks later due to there own neglect in signing loan paper . and when my car was taken they also took all my belongings from inside the car. I paid all fees and still three weeks later have not returned any of my personal property that was in the car. I have the car but they are not giving me my belonging.
