I recently drove from California to Michigan and took a pretty sizable rock to the windshield somewhere in Nebraska. A quick Google search at a rest stop found Auto 1 near my final destination in Berkley. I called not realizing that it was already after hours, Mike called me right back from his cell phone and asked me to send him a pic of my VIN. The next day he called me again and said that my windshield was on order and should be in just as I arrived in Michigan. He got the glass replaced it for me quickly and was very professional and polite. The next day I noticed a weird defect in the glass so I called Mark again and without hesitation he said to give him a couple days to order another windshield. This is the place to go! My poor car experienced the miracles of both rodent life and death, and stunk of the latter. I couldn't even stand being in the car for my fifteen minute drive to work. I took it to Mark and the difference was stunning. Not only was the Grim Reaper's lingering reek gone, but the car was immaculate both inside and out. The last time the car looked (and smelled) that good was when it was first bought, being driven off the lot of the dealership. If you're looking for a place to detail your car, this is the best, and only choice. This review is going to be pretty short. The whole process with Auto One was pretty quick and easy. I stopped in which a hitch I wanted in mind. Mark was super friendly and called his people to make sure it was available an in stock. Stopped back, paid, and he orders. He was super communicative through the process. He followed up to make sure I remembered the date for drop off. I dropped off my car on a Saturday morning. It was done three hours later. Picked up. Super happy. The hitch hides under my bumper. Good cost for a solid product. I would go back and work with Mark anytime. It should be noted that he is the new owner. New owner. New practices. Keep up the good work guys. :) read more

I had my car detailed inside and out here. These guys made my 2008 SUV look like brand new. I had fine, white dog fur embedded in every square inch of the black carpeted trunk area. When I got it back, you couldn't tell a dog had ever been back there or anywhere in my car! I was thoroughly impressed with how they turned a dirty, very used SUV into a model car, from the dingy carpets to the cracked leather seats... it came out looking the best I'd ever seen it. 100% will be taking all my cars here for future detailing needs. read more

Auto One on 11 Mile in Berkley, MI is an outstanding business. Great work and exceptional customer service. Water was accumulating in the rear passenger seat of my S40 Volvo. I took it to LaFontaine Volvo in Farmington Hills and explained and showed them the problem. I was told that the coolant reservoir cracked and that my windshield was leaking. I found it hard to believe that the windshield was leaking since I had not seen any signs to indicate that it was happening. I decided to have the coolant reservoir replaced and not a new windshield with the quoted price of one thousand dollars. The bill for the replacement reservoir and other things?? was a total of 628.82. There was water on the floor the next day. I called Auto One and Mark McFadden asked me to bring the car in so that he could take a look at it. The problem was just was he suspected. Clogged drain hole in sunroof and drain tubes. Auto One unclogged the drain hole and tubes. They also washed the floors and mats. They used an air mover to dry out the interior. WOW!!!!! what service. The total cost was less than 250.00. I highly recommend this location. I' m going back to get my car detailed. No need for a thousand dollar windshield. read more

Being rather new to the area makes it even more of a challenge when issues arise with your vehicle. My car battery has not been holding a charge and I thought "oh great.. I do not have a clue who a good mechanic would be to look at electrical issues". I did not want to go to the dealer for two reasons - the price and I think Toyota has enough business right now due to their own problems. :{ My first thought was that my battery drain could be linked to my remote car starter I had installed 4-5 yrs ago while living in Upstate NY. Unfortunately for me, I no longer live close to where I had the remote starter installed. Therefore, I looked up the brand of installed remote starter via on-line for local business that still work with the same brand to see if they could help. The list generated four places, one of which was Auto One Glass & Accessories of Berkley. I called their office thinking they could help... boy was I wrong. No customer service what so ever. The guy who answered the phone spoke to me like I was a moron. In hindsight, because of that single telephone call interaction I was kind of glad Auto One could not (did not) help me. On a side note: I found it rather interesting that a different store branch in Madison Heights also had negative Yelp reviews. Perhaps rudeness is just company wide thing?! I do have to say, even though the guy was a jerk he gave me the name of a place I could try to look up for help w/ my car problem. Thanks, but that is ok. Mark was great. Incredible guy and very friendly, could talk about football all day. Needed to replace my windshield, I dropped my car off in the morning and it was done quickly when he said it would be, same day. Price was reasonable- $199, and Mark explained everything clearly. Needed to replace a cracked windshield. Called several places around town to find that it was going to be in excess of 300.00 after taxes. Called Auto One Glass and their price was by far better, just shy of 100.00 less than everywhere else. Prompt and courteous service.
