DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I rarely write bad reviews, but this place is the reason why I lease cars instead of having to deal with shops that take advantage people like this one does. So yesterday I told my mom about this shop because I pass it on my way home everyday. It always looked busy. So instead of looking at previous yelp reviews we decided to go to them. We already knew what was wrong with the vehicle because we went to a previous shop. But they wouldn't be able to get to the car until Monday, and this shop was available that day. When my mother gets there. They told her that she needed something else, and not what she was told at the previous shop. So they did whatever it was they suggested instead. And it was not the problem. In fact the problem was the part that she had already suggested. So she ended up having to pay for the first thing that she suggested in addition to their mistake. So a less than $200 job ended up costing her $500. And taking twice as long. And instead of being apologetic. He says "well you needed it anyway". But it doesn't stop there. The male at the front desk was extremely disrespectful and extremely chauvinistic. And they take advantage of people that don't fully understand vehicles. He was even having a what should have been private argument on the phone cursing and talking loud while sitting at the front desk. I felt responsible for this horrific experience because I was the one to recommend this place. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!

R I P-O F F Took my 86-year-old mothers 2013 Mazda 5 to get an oil change with a $10 coupon, was greeted by Tony told him I wanted a basic oil change he said they ONLY do synthetic, no price discussed(my first mistake) I waited 1 hr and 5 mins and When I approached the front desk, Tony asked if I saw his text!? He they proceeded to tell me that my mother needed a new battery(current battery is a AAA installed battery less than a year old with a 3 year warranty) I handed Tony my credit card for the oil change(second mistake without asking the price) Tony handed me a receipt to sign that said $97.07 - $12.66 totalling $89.44 for a 4 cylinder "basic" oil change!??? WTH!!!??? He added a 16.99 stp oil treatment and used semi synthetic oil 5/20.

Solid five stars…read more My mother's 2005 Mazda had to have a transmission replaced one year ago. Took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't get the parts and couldn't do the work. I called around to 5 or 6 shops, (including several Aamcos), claiming to specialize in transmissions and got pretty much the same story. But I'm stubborn. And then I called Mr Kirby. He says "Sure, bring it in" or something to that effect. She got it back a week later with an 18 month/18,000 mile warranty. A couple of weeks later her warning light came on. It was driving ok so we took it back to Mr Kirby. One of the new parts had a crack in it so he repaired it completely under warranty. All's well that ends well. Fast forward a year and the warning light comes on again, and this time it wasn't really drivable so we have it towed back to the South Loop. (Thank you AAA) Again, a crack in one of the replacement parts. Again, fixed completely under warranty. Now, I know that's Aamco's warranty policy and not Mr. Kirby's. So while I'm technically reviewing AAMCO-South Loop, it's Mr Kirby that makes this location special. He's personable and professional and "Is a man of his word". What more can you ask of an auto shop? Lastly, I suspect, but don't know, that's it's the unreliability of the after market Chinese made parts that forced me to make so many phone calls to find a shop willing to do the work. If you ever need transmission work, (Heaven forbid!), go see Mr Kirby. He's a good guy.

Gave my cell and email address to get the free wash, and I was good to go! I ride down Broadway all the time, so to find this car wash pretty much across the street from many of the places I frequent was mind-blowing. I am just way too busy not to notice a whole car wash in my backyard! Ocean reminds me of Mister Car Wash. They do have detailing services where you get out the vehicle and go inside to wait for them to wash and detail the car. My ride is paid off and almost 10 years old. She doesn't need all that. My coupon was good for the most expensive wash, which was worth $20. Redemption was easy at the kiosk, which allowed me to scan my coupon. Once done, I jumped out my vehicle to collapse my side mirrors and into a line I went. It was a Saturday afternoon, and despite being probably 10 cars deep, the line went quickly. Wash was thorough and not too loud. I've gone through some really loud express washes before, and it almost sounded like gunshots hitting your car. Not the case at Ocean. Once you pull out, there are two attendants waiting to dry your car off. They're quick and left my car spotless. Only gripe is no vacuum area, but if you're looking for a great car wash without lifting a finger to clean, Ocean is the wave to go!
