No one is at her home to answer these calls, yet the bank keeps calling "to confirm information." Over the past several weeks, I have contacted the bank numerous times asking for one simple accommodation: stop calling the home phone and update the contact method on file. Each time, staff claimed they "cannot be flexible" or "cannot update the profile." That is not an acceptable excuse. Internal system limitations are not the customer's responsibility, and they certainly do not justify ongoing harassment. At this point, the repeated calls are no longer a mistake -- they reflect a deliberate failure to act after repeated notice. This situation has caused unnecessary stress for our family and raises serious concerns about customer service standards and compliance. I would strongly caution others before banking here.

While the tellers & supervisors I grew up with are no longer working there, my family continued to receive exemplary customer service. Sadly, since I no longer reside in Chinatown, the weekend hour long trips here make it difficult to continue banking here at this branch. I had proof that an Amazon package was delivered to the wrong address and submitted photos showing the mismatch, but they still sided with Amazon. I also requested account closure before the disputed withdrawal posted, but it was not processed in time. The charge went through, my account went negative, and I was left dealing with the fallout. Their responses were unhelpful and dismissive, and I was told they could not do anything meaningful to prevent further problems. This bank made an already stressful situation much worse. I would not trust them with my money if there is any chance of a dispute or account issue.

Citibank uses VOIP their customer service staff works remote in Philippines. So you have to listen to roosters, chickens and people talking Tagalog, they claim they are in an office. Where they are in restaurant , backyard or who knows where. Service reps spend 70% of the call thanking you for being a client apologizing for the inconvenience and basically wasting time blowing smoke up my butt than helping me. The internet speeds are slow as snail probably dial up. They make billions of dollars a year. You would think they could service clients better. I've banked with Citi for 35 years. It's a joke. Plus you have to listen to their marketing recordings for 5 mins before you can speak to a live person.

I have never found or received a running balance of my account and called to receive one since the total balance was paid down to $3000.00, now today, I checked my account, as I was doing some card changes for payment method, and came to a surprise. My balance has gone back up to over $3500.00. End of the loan and my interest grows to over $500 in a month? This would never be paid. Are these fees, tax, anything that could be legit? Nope, and when you call, all they want to do is point out your balance, or how to make a payment, no customer service, agent would not listen and continually interrupt. I literally had to ask if this person knew what a running balance is. More and more companies are doing this, not giving access to all information required by law hoping we are ignorant while they add fees, interest, and raise balances hoping the consumer does not inquire. Again, I have never been late, and always pay more, So where and why are you so corrupt? BBB and feds need to get involved.

EIB offered free coffee to their customers... my parents would have their cup of coffee right after making their deposits every time. I don't remember having coffee at this location, but I would sometimes at their Alhambra location (closed since 2019). I don't think they offer free coffee anymore at their Monterey Park location (opened since 2019). Our visits were always quick. We haven't been to this LA location for so long. My Dad is no longer with us... miss you Dad! My Mom and I primarily visit their Monterey Park location nowadays. Staff from their old location still works at new location.
