I almost dont want to write this review because I feel like this is my hidden secret bank lol but this place is great. Always has parking available and the staff are barnone the nicest, most helpful bank staff I have ever worked with. Seriously, I cannot believe all the staff here are this happy and nice. Highly recommended. Just don't take up the parking spots! read more

Jennie and David. Five stars!! No pressure banking environments. Excellent CD rates! Great Branch Manager as well. I forgot his name.

Hands down the best bank for military families. Their customer service is top-notch, and they offer excellent perks on loans and insurance. I've never had a bad experience with them. read more

I've been in business for 40+ years and I've never had better service from a bank than I get at First Bank. Jennie, Henry, & Justin are outstanding. First Bank has the tools I need to make banking easy read more

Jeannie was helpful and was able to procure some documentation ahead of quoted timeframe. Great customer service nice clean location.

Visited 12/30/15 Rarely come here. Parking can be a hassle. Small shared parking lot next to the bank is 20 minutes free with sticker from the bank. Interior of the bank is very nice. I find it annoying though when a teller talks so loud. I guess it's a good thing I don't understand Chinese; otherwise the conversation the teller had over the phone sure was not private! In general I like the bank , I just wish they had one close to La Canada. read more

I'm pretty new customer to this bank but I have to say I have found it to be great so far. Friendly, helpful. Thanks to the staff at first bank in China town. read more

We recently switched all of our business accounts over from Citibank to First Bank. We were a bit hesitant at first to work with a much smaller bank mostly because of convenience but we are so glad we made the switch. Yong and his team are professionals who really care about their customers. Recently, they had some work done on their parking lot and the parking lot was closed. I am a mother with a young baby in the car who is usually sleeping. Yong made an inconvenient situation as positive one, he personally came out to take my check for deposit. When my 3 year old came along, Yong and his staff made my shy girl feel totally welcomed. Now she asks to go to the bank. I don't know any banks who will do this I love the staff and Yong. read more

I was simply trying to deposit a check when a lady came out of the bank, made me roll down my window, and questioned me on whether or not I was going into the bank. I had been there not more than 1 or 2 minutes wrapping up my business call. She told me I would have to leave. Depositing this check was priority or else I would have left. Little things like this make me think twice about who I bank with. read more

Do you enjoying wasting your time? Do you enjoy being given the runaround? Do you relish gathering documentation for no reason? Want to have your credit pulled for a laugh and giggle? Then this is the bank for you. Tried applying for a loan, spoke to the loan person and was met with the usual marketing BS and promises of being 'not like other lenders', 'quality of work', 'integrity', 'promise to get things done' etc. Guess what. A whole bunch of baloney, incompetent agents and people who apparently don't know their own rules and lending practices. read more

I had a huge issue today that needed immediate attention with a banking issue My Laguna Niguel branch manager arranged for me to have my issue addressed at this branch. When I walked into this branch I was immediately acknowledged and they knew what exactly I needed. Lily was extremely helpful and was able to put me at ease and took care of my issue. The manager also came over and made sure I was being helped. What a nice feeling to have someone assist me in my time of need. read more

I have been banking with First Bank for years. In fact all my family members have accounts with this bank. The location is great and it's close to the freeway in the heart of Chinatown. Parking is real convenient and they validate. Lily is our account manager for many years and she is awesome! I can call her in advance and she will have everything ready by the time I arrive. Now that's personal service! Everyone in the branch is incredible to work with and friendly. They make you feel like you are part of the family. BoA and Wells... no thanks. Yong Wong is one of the most personable and sincere bankers you could ever find. I have sent my mom over to him and he takes great care of her accounts. If there are any issues with the banking, any charges or things she doesn't know of, he helps explain everything and if there is anything he can do to correct an issue, he does it ASAP. He is really a personal banker. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a banker they can trust. Whether its for business or personal accounts, Yong is the guy that you need to go to. I've had accounts in a few banks, and I want to share my experience at First Bank China Town. First off, I did not know they existed until the company that I work for started an account with them. I got to know all the staff while running errands for the company, and they were so helpful and courteous that it made me want to start an account with them. They offer no fee as long as you use your debit for a minimum of 5 times monthly, and you can start off you savings account with $100. I want to thank the manager of this branch Yong and his incredible staff Lily, Jenny, Cindy, and Marlo for being professional and helpful at all times! read more

This is the bank. They rock. I went round and round with banks I had long relationships with when trying to get a simple HELOC. Everyone else seemed hamstrung with strange new restrictions. Until I was directed to 1st Bank Chinatown Branch. Yong and Lily and everyone were fast, incredibly helpful and great to work with. They crossed the finish line and I got everything I needed from this bank. The vibe is friendly and fun. Go to 1st bank if you are looking for a cool and easy banking experience. Yong is the go-to guy on the LA banking scene. read more
