Update: So I ended up purchasing the truck but haven't driven it much ~200mi, as I've been removing salt, oxidation and surface rust from the underside of the body and chassis. While applying FluidFilm noticed rear pinion seal was leaking (missed this during my initial inspection) so I checked the fluid level. It was down 1/2 quart. Checked front differential and it was 1/2 to 1qt low as well. The vehicle was sold "as is" but I can see the passenger front caliper was replaced so why wouldn't their on site mechanic have taken care of these minor issues. read more

When I called to set up a time to come in, I had a nice conversation with the man on the phone as I explained the issues with my car. I went in the next day and despite my telling them I knew what was going on, they treated me like a dumb chick and tried to get me to pay way more than I needed to. As I was walking out the door to find a more reasonable place, the guy behind the desk said "You'll be back". It was that very moment that I knew I would never set foot into this place again. I paid 15% less at the place that they claimed to have called and beat their price. They may do great work on cars but I will never know because I will never go back there. read more

When looking for a certain car my other half saw Auto Mart had more than one of them. This was a couple months ago. When he went down to look at one as was looking to purchase this certain car ( Cadillac ) he was told they are sold, when they were on the lot and no SOLD card on it. These 3 same vehicles I was interested in are still listed on their web site. If sold take them off your site. Then deciding he wanted a different car ( corvette ) about 1 week ago he went there cause they had 2 on their lot. When he got there again he was told they were sold, no sold cards on it . Now he drove his truck down got out and asked to see one and he was told this faster than you can say I am here to look at this type of car ( he always wears shorts and a T-shirt year round ) thus by being told they were sold, not even asking if they get another in let me have your number and I will call you. Personally they looked at him and ASSUMED on how he was dressed he couldn't afford a corvette ( $18,900 ) The yellow corvette is still on their web site, and listed on craigslist 3 separate times last night the 14th of October. Now when I called and asked about it I got told it was sold ( someone was trying to finance it) which is different but don't list it as if its for sale, if waiting for a persons to be approved then put pending sale at least. To me this is good business practice. When I brought up how my other half was treated, I got told we do not do that. Um yes you do this is the third time we went to Auto Mart and got told the vehicle we were interested in was sold, only to see it still on their lot weeks later. News flash a persons appearance does NOT tell you if they can or cant afford something especially when their credit score is well over the 700 range close to 800. SO this place will not get my business at all, I wouldn't recommend them to no one as they are shady people. read more

I have purchased and owned many cars but never ever have I been more taken advantage of than I was here. My 17 year old son has worked very hard to save his money to buy a nice diesel pickup. Having lived in town and passed this dealer many times, it seemed they always had newer used vehicles on the lot. My son and I stopped in, looked at several vehicles on the lot and was then told by Pete, the salesman that they had just the vehicle for us. They had a 2001 Duramax that hadn't even cleared their shop to be on the lot. We looked at it and took it for a ride. Everything seemed fine. Never having owned a diesel, I voiced my concern with diesels and stories of injector problems and the cost to fix them. I asked how to tell if there was a problem. He told me loss of power is an indictor and that this truck was strong, that there wasn't a problem. We purchased the truck. I should have known from the night we brought the truck home there was going to be problems. As my son backed into the driveway for the first time, both reverse lights didn't work. We called the next day and they said to bring it in and they would fix. He did that and they fixed it. Then the real problem started. Days after we bought the truck, the check engine light started coming on. Again, they seemed more than happy to help. My son brought it back in, fuel issue or so we thought. They asked where we got gas, (from a popular brand name station) They told us that could be the problem, that they were known for bad diesel. My son did what they said to do, continued to have problems, brought the truck back and eventually we were told they refused to fix the truck. We contacted someone and was told the error code that was generated had something to do with the injectors. They refused to fix the truck, refused to give us our money back and basically held us hostage. We had to pick a truck from the inventory they had on the lot. My son did select a truck, not a diesel. Although it seems to be a decent truck, it is not what he wanted but we had no choice. One of the owners, Jim was rude to my wife, not helpful and when my wife told him that we would never go back to them he said "good". I can't believe the indifference shown by this dealership and will tell everyone I know not to go there. It's unfortunate that they probably will either fix the vehicle my son wanted at cost and mark it up as to not take the loss or sell it to another unsuspecting buyer who won't put up the fuss that we did and be out the cost of repair which is substantial. I hope that person reads this before getting taken advantage of. read more

I am disgusted with AutoMart,I bought a 2003 Avalnache, had failure soon as I bought it,after putting truck on a lift I found excessive rust that could not be fixed,I went on to have numerous failures that cost me some expensive tow and repair bills.The last failure almost cost my life as I lost brakes while in NY due to a blown brake line that had rusted thru,I was stuck 220 miles from home,I returned to AutoMart and attempted to trade truck,I was met by the owner who was loud,rude and arrogant,he did not want the truck back as he would be stuck with this piece of junk.After a week of back and forth negotiations I traded with a loss of $3000,this truck is back on their lot forsale.I am contacting the Dept of Transportation to put a stop to this unsafe piece of junk being sold to the next victim,I would NEVER recomend this Auto Dealer to anyone,they dont stand behind what the sell and their concern for safety is non existent read more
