This is my 2nd time I had my windshield replaced. I went to pick-n-pull because it was more affordable. Never again will I go back to pick-n-pull. Improper installation cause water to leak upper left hand corner driver side. It was like this since 2017. I would put electric tape on the exterior during the rainy season which actually helped. Ghetto fixed it lol. After many years of using electric tape and over 20 rock chips it was time to replace my windshield once again. This time I went with a company that knows what they are doing. After reading a few reviews I called Auto Glass Express explained my issue. They gave me quote and the windshield I need was in stock. On my appointment day after windshield was removed they showed where I told them the water would go into my vehicle and it showed no sign of water corrosion. It took about 30 or 40 minutes for new windshield installation. A few day later after the adhesive dried up. My brother held the water hose over where it used to leak while I was inside and no more water leak. Improper installation from the idiots at pick-n-pull all to get quick easy bucks. I had my rear left quarter window broken into late on a Thursday night, and submitted a request for a quote online through their website that night. They followed up with me immediately upon opening at 8am the next day, and I was able to book an appointment the day of at 11am. By 12:15pm, I had paid and was driving away with an OEM replacement that looked as good as new! Want to start with the good aspect. They were very responsive and came in a pinch when I needed a last minute service to fix one of my windows when the company thats through my insurance wouldn't come till over a week to fix my window on my car which was UNaccetable. So reached out to Auto Glass Express to get it fixed and said they would get it done that same day. Was awesome, they were on top of it and I greatly appreciated that. The part that wasn't so great... they didn't take my insurance but assured me that if I sent in my receipt to my insurance and made a claim and followed certain steps that I would be refunded for the services. I was told that almost all their customers that did this and got covered. Long story short, I didn't get refunded and ended up having to pay out of pocket for everything. this is more due to the fact that my insurance didn't come through which is Allstate. Which I have a LOAD of issues with Allstate that I won't get into here. But my issues here, even though I was told that my insurance would cover - didn't happen and I would have rather been told that I probably wouldn't get covered. Another note - if you have Allstate for insurance. I wouldn't use this company. I also changed my insurance coverage to AAA now cause Allstate sucks. read more

Ill just say this, its not cheap living in the bay area and when you work a job that doesn't pay a lot. Life can be difficult, and in my case having a family to provide for makes it even harder to deal with the BS criminals seem to have a pass from police to just break into any car they want and never get caught. With my $1000 insurance deductible(speaking of criminals ) I have to pay out of pocket. I had a wheel lock on my car and never would leave even an empty bag in it. So all they did was break my window and scuff up my leather interior. That whole week I tried to find a place that replace it, with no luck, most saying it would be a week or two to get it in stock. But my coworker on Friday luckily found Auto Glass Express who told him they had it in stock and could do it, He gave me the number after work I called and left a voicemail still feeling unsure. Saturday morning I got a call, and a couple hours later this issue was no longer an issue. They gave me some good advice about leaving my back seats down because sometimes they will break into a car to check the trunk. I have to say I haven't been more grateful or impressed by any business as much as I was by them. Highly recommend, I am gonna become a free advertisement for them because working in Oakland I see this so much. I can enjoy my weekend now with out stressing over this anymore. I just had my front windshield replaced again and I am very happy I found this place on Yelp! They have great customer service, communicate very well and they do an excellent job. The first time I came here was back in the Summer of 2021. I came on a Saturday morning. It took about 4 hours because they had to calibrate the car. The second time I came was yesterday. I've had 4 windows replaced here, and it's been a wonderful experience if you set aside the irritation of having a broken window in the first place. They work with your insurance if you have it, and everyone is friendly, professional and fast. I had an excellent experience all round. Initially, I arrived, unknowingly, just after hours. However, one of the service reps came into the office and took the time to explain their hours and give me a card. He advised me that wherever I had my windshield replaced, I should ensure I get a printout report for the recalibration of the sensors. Check one: not pushy! Check two: When I returned to book an appointment, the office staff were so helpful. I'd had trouble getting information from my insurance company but the staff solved it all instantly by creating a three-way call to have the insurance approved. Great customer service. Thank you! Check three: I made an appointment and was told that it could take anything from two to five hours. However, I received a text just after two hours to say that everything was done. (Of course, not always guaranteed!) I returned to pick it up, payment was easy and I was out of there and on my way in five minutes. Kudos to Autoglass Express! These people are HEROES. I'm a high school teacher. My window was smashed in the night and my car broken into (though there was nothing to take). And this happened the evening before the first day of school. Imagine my reaction to finding my car this way on Day 1 of the school year. Had to have my rear passenger side window replaced after having it smashed in by some bloke in SF. Called this place to get a quote and thought that $200 was reasonable. The receptionist was very kind and easy to talk to when setting the appointment up. Had a their mobile service guy come to my car to do the job, which was really convenient. My only complaint is that he said he'd clean up all the shards of glass but he left some behind both on the seat, which I discovered later by sitting on it, and left some in the rear door itself, which makes me hesitant to roll my window down for fear that it'll scratch up my new window..... read more

They're amazing! This is the second time by driver's window was broken into in the Oakland JLS area in two months. On a Friday night! My window takes longer to get... I knew I was going to have to wait until Monday to even schedule something... So I left messages everywhere. Auto Glass Express was one of the first to call me back (when I happened to be working) and leave a very nice message. Once I spoke to them -- Friendly, professional, to-the-point. Price offered was $287 for after-market, and I could get the window installed on Wednesday. Dealer-supplied would be about $100 more and take 2 days longer. I asked what the difference was in quality (I was nervous about going with the cheaper option) and she kindly explained it to me. I opted for cheaper and sooner. For comparison, Safelite couldn't make it until Friday. They quoted me $450, and then when I started to talk about scheduling, they said the total woule be. $578!! Huh?? The $450 "just for the glass". WHAT?? THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE than Auto Glass Express. For what??? The sucker fee, I guess. So, Wednesday morning, I get a call from Auto Glass. The window distributor had a glitch getting my glass to them on time. They called immediately, very apologetically, explained the situation, and scheduled me for the next day. An hour later they called back-- The glass was in! Was I still available? When the tech arrived, exactly when they said he would, he also was friendly and professional. And accommodating! (It's complicated getting into and working in my building's large, dark garage.) He told me to come back in a half hour (Safelite took 90 mins the last time), I did, and bam!
