I did not work with Chantos directly as my mom handled all the communication for me, but I cannot say enough about how great and honest he is. He replaced the windshield of my Honda accord, which then was giving me a lot of warning messages that my windshield needed to be calibrated. Chantos said this has never happened to him before, so I went ahead and took my car to Honda service center to attempt calibration. They were unsuccessful, so Chantos was willing to rectify the situation and give me my money back if I had to install a factory windshield from the dealer. I luckily did not have to, because Chantos recommended someone who was able to do my calibration for me but the fact that he was willing to refund my money for something that was not his fault was very admirable. A part of me wants my car to get broken into again so I can have this amazing experience again. A couple days ago, my car got broken into and I was devastated because 1. This is my first car ever and 2. I felt like I lost my sense of security. I called dealerships in the morning and everyone either told me I had to wait and pay over $300, but also acted really apathetic. God Bless Yelp! Without it, I wouldn't have found Chantos and 101 Auto Glass. After my car was broken into, I called my insurance company, who referred me to Safelite. Their price seemed steep plus they did not have an appointment open for mobile service for a week (and they charged an additional $25 for this). The only way I could get my window replaced the next day was if I was willing and able to drive down to Union City (around 45 minutes south of me). I looked on Yelp and saw several local businesses who offered mobile service and quotes via the Yelp messaging system. I got a response from two of the three businesses I contacted. Chantos gave me the best price plus was available for same-day service. He was great at communicating via text when he would arrive and finished the job in 45 minutes. Chantos is very friendly and professional and I felt instantly at ease with him. He said he doesn't have to advertise which is why he can offer such great rates. After a horrible experience like getting your car broken into, it was a wonderful way to fix the problem. When I got back I found that glass was all over my front AND back seats so I definitely needed mobile service. I called up 101 Auto Glass and Chantos said he'd be there in an hour. Rule #1 When visiting the Bay Area: Never leave anything valuable in your car. Someone broke into my car around Union Square last night and all of the glass repair shops were already closed. Fabulous experience getting my car window replaced after it got smashed out and my 6 year old child's school backpack got stolen. I'd never had my car broken into, so was pretty shaken by the whole experience. But Chantos made it literally the easiest thing possible to get fixed. I emailed him late at night, he responded the next morning, we scheduled a time for a few hours later, he showed up at my apartment exactly when he said he would, fixed the window and cleaned out all the glass for me. Great service and price! After calling around found this to be the best pricing to replace a cracked windshield! Called at 10 am and received a same day home appointment at 3 pm. The process was professional, and took less than 2 hours. The work was clean and neat. Chantos even transferred the Oil Changers appointment sticker from the old windshield to the new windshield. Looked just like new. Because my car has all the lane change and close car detection to prevent accidents, he was very careful regarding alignment of the windshield. Encouraged me to call him if any issues arises. And since these cars are all electronic, warned that the car may need recalibration after the replacement. I called Chantos on the recommendation by Fast Mobile Autoglass (his nephew) bc they only do full windshield replacements and I thought I only had one small chip. There are some very good reviews for Chantos and I was encouraged but the job he did for me was sub par for both me and AAA. Chantos was fast to pick up the call and instructed me how to work through AAA. Everything was set up and he arrived timely. Great so far. He took several calls while on the job. Ok - he's a mobile guy - fine. Chantos got another call to replace a full windshield so he took off. Upon immediate inspection, there was another small but growing chip (same incident) leas than a foot away and I asked him to come back within 30 seconds. He did. When he got back, he told me that AAA would not pay for this on the same ticket and that I can open another ticket or pay him directly. Ouch! So I called AAA while he was there. AAA got on the phone and asked him to repair this other small pit out of courtesy which their network shops normally does. He said no and left. AAA immediately set me up w their Safelite network. Safelite repairs all chips for the same $65 price. So if you have multiple chips go w AAA's suggestion. To Chantos' credit, he did call at the end of the day and offered to return and fix the chip but I'd already spent the additional time and got the rest of the small chips taken care of by Safelite. Look, I like going w mom and pop shops and I hope that this was an anomaly w 101. Best of luck! read more

A couple of weeks ago, my VW took a rock to the lower windshield while driving on I-8 in El Cajon. For three weeks it was nothing more than an eyesore. All that changed when I drove up to Santa Rosa for the Holidays.
