My driver side rear window got smashed in and car broken into over the weekend. Thank goodness nothing of value was stolen. I called these guys around 9 a.m. this morning and they said they could take me between 11:30 - 12:30 via their mobile service. Perfect. The estimate was a lot lower than I was expecting, and that is what they charged me. My other friend got his window done in the city and I think he paid like 2.5 times more than I did. My repair guy did a very good job and he was done in about an hour. He came to my house and everything. It was very convenient. And they not only vacuumed the back seat where all the glass was, they vacuumed my entire car. Hopefully I wont need to call again for another repair, but if I do, these guys are going to be the ones to do it. read more

Very good experience! First time my windshield was installed there was a slight distortion in the driver's line of sight which could easily be missed if you weren't operating the vehicle. My RAV4 was broken into and the passenger quarter window was completely smashed! I couldn't do anything about it until the morning and gave Auto Glass Express a call as soon as I could. They were super helpful and sent a mobile service to my car parked near where I was taking my weekend grad courses. They were flexible with my time, worked efficiently, and was on time. It took 1.5 hrs from the start (of my call) to finish. It probably took 20-25 minutes at most when they were there to vacuum the broken and fix the window. This place is a life saver! This morning my driver side window was smashed in at my work parking garage on UC campus. Called around, and by late morning I had an appointment with auto glass express same day / late afternoon. Truly grateful to be squeezed into their schedule on such short notice!! I arrived a little after 3 PM, and was promptly welcomed and car was serviced. Front desk woman was super nice and helpful in regards to insurance deductible info and the service tech who replaced my window was speeeeedy!! Today was my second experience at auto glass express. The first time i chose them because they were much cheaper than the big name auto glass folks, and this time because of how happy I was with their service the first time. Today they replaced my side view mirror with a part they found from a salvage yard, they had it in the shop when I showed up, made sure I was OK with the condition and made quick work of the job. LaDawn helped me and was informed and clear about the process for having my car window replaced. They were able to get a window from a car in the salvage yard. Thanks to Ian K.'s review, I finally ventured out here to get the crack fixed in my car's windshield! The location is very convenient, off the hustle & bustle of San Pablo Avenue, not too far from the University Avenue intersection. It's been quite some time since a small piece of rock had hit my windshield while driving on the freeway, and haven't gotten it fixed since then - but WHEW! I'm just glad it hasn't been worse, and I finally took the time to check this place out and get that crack fixed. My insurance provider is Liberty Mutual, and Ladan at the front desk was able to assist me in filing my claim, since I hadn't done so, nor unaware I'd need to do that! Very efficient and courteous with her assistance, and their shop is truly customer service-oriented! In addition, they were VERY productive & hands-on, as Alison went out with me to my car as I showed her where the cracks were on the windshield. The wait wasn't THAT long, in fact, I was just on my iPhone & doing my business, when all of a sudden, Ladan calls me & lets me know that my vehicle is done! Prior to the service, I originally pointed out 2 cracks, but after they had serviced my vehicle within 30 minutes (or less, even!), they found additional "smaller" cracks on the windshield that they had fixed! On top of that, they even cleaned my windshield all throughout - it looks CLEAN! (not that Windex-type of clean with leftover streaks, if you know what I mean, LOL). They are truly a remarkable place of business that is exceptionally nice, professional, and pleasant to work with. They really take the time to explain the options, perform the work very well, and are reasonably priced. In fact, when I had filed my claim, I was presented with a receipt for a $50 fee, but when I was checking out - my insurance had covered it! I walked out the shop with not having to pay out of my own pocket! It may be a hassle to getting your car windows/windshields replaced, but this establishment is good to have around if you need it! Highly recommended! PRO TIPS: -Call ahead to make an appointment. -Bring your insurance cards from your car's glove compartment to have your policy number handy-dandy ready! -Make sure you use a restroom before coming here! Ok so you know the deal: Prius owner, parked my car, and came back to it after a nice dinner to discover someone had smashed my back triangular window on the driver's side. Nothing stolen, nor was there anything of value to steal. Only reason I can see for this is that someone was pissed or thought it would be fun to be a dick and make a 5-second action of assholery into a $180 problem for me. I had no idea what to do. I complained to my friends, got soothed by my bf, and then finally (thanks to my mom) called insurance. Looked at some places and came across Auto Glass Express. Called, received a straightforward and reasonable quote, even learned they KEEP ORIGINAL TOYOTA WINDOWS IN STOCK (unlike many other places - it's a bittersweet reality to think that they know to keep these in stock because it must be that common of a problem) and learned they would fit me into a 1:00pm appointment same day. I left work, dropped off my car, went to a cafe and came back to see my new sparkling window, shattered glass all vacuumed up, and my car looking as if the incident had never happened (albeit that window was unusually clean compared to the rest of my car haha). Such a good experience with these guys! My car was broken into so I needed the driver's side window replaced ASAP. The woman on the phone was very helpful and explained that for my car, there is either the "off market" glass or the dealership glass. They don't really reco the off market glass bc it often doesn't fit right, but the dealership glass is more expensive. Because the dealer glass wasn't available for several days, I went with the off market glass. But because of their guarantee, if it doesn't fit right, I can bring it back and they'll replace it with the dealer glass. I would just pay the price diff, which of course makes sense. They offer mobile service at no extra cost, but they had availability that day for on site, so I brought it in. She said it would be about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. It ended up being closer to 2 hours, but it was totally worth it bc they cleaned out all the broken glass from the break in!! I was totally not expecting that! They not only saved me the time and effort, they did a 1000% better job than I would have been able to do with my vacuum. After the stress of the break-in, this was such a welcome gesture.
