Many years ago, even before Yelp existed, I bought a Volvo from Mark Dirsa/Auto Evaluators for $3800. The odometer was broken, but Mark assured me he'd fix it. After learning that it's illegal to sell a car with a broken odometer, and a year and a half later, it still hadn't been fixed (and never was). A few months after buying the car, the clutch needed to be repaired (cost: about $600). There were several other issues leading up to my request for an investigation of the vehicle, which was found to be PIECED TOGETHER. I ultimately sold the car for $300. I guess this one's coming back to bite Mark in the ass all of these years later! I'd never deal with Auto Evaluators again, but I ALLOW THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE CHANGE. Just make sure Mark has before buying a car from him... And, er, make sure the odometer works too. read more

After traveling nearly 13 hours from south Colorado to St. Louis, MO I found that my vehicle had a shake and a rattle.... one that would not be ignored. On a Saturday at 11:30 am I found Auto Evaluators and they were a heaven send! As it turns out I had loose lug nuts and my driver's side tire was about to fall completely off!! Mark Dirsa and his staff checked the car out and found other loose lug nuts(!) which they tightened to the proper torque making it road ready again and gave me some great advice. This place was such a help when I moved here. I needed to get an emissions inspection and safety check done to register my car, and they worked with me to get a time that worked well for my schedule. One of my brake lights was out, so they put in a new one for FREE so I could pass the safety check. The workers were nice and the waiting area pleasant.
