The team at 1st Class Auto Body has hit the highest level of benchmarks and standards that anyone can ask. I've been their three times. Two with my new Tesla and previously with my SUV. I scuffed up my new Tesla getting use to the wider body frame and they went above and beyond to get the correct red color for the scratches, but, also lent me a loner car (a luxury sedan) free of charge while my car was tied up for three days. Since I was paying for this myself, they were more than fair on the price, in fact coming in below the estimate. They detailed my car before I arrived to pick it up. Looked showroom quality!!! Not in a position to buy a new door and short on time to get the issue resolved. Kevin worked with my schedule and budget to expertly weld the broken piece returning the door to a 'like new' condition and did it all in a single afternoon. Autobody work is rarely an elected expense. Typically autobody work is needed after an accident or when things fall into disrepair. In those moments you're going to want someone like Kevin that puts the customer experience first, is transparent, communicative, fair and knowledgeable.

**Note that you won't find this review on the company's website because the owner, Jaime Dovale,…read moreremoves all negative reviews ... which, in addition to being deliberately deceptive and dishonest, obviously defeats the purpose of reviews.** Certified. Automotive. Disaster. Without question, this was the worst experience I've ever had as a consumer of any product or service (I'm 58) ... nothing else even comes close. This saga spanned over 2 1/2 years ... it wasn't an isolated incident, and certainly not an outlier. I made the terrible mistake of trusting Jaime Dovale to do a full body-off overhaul of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler, and I couldn't have made a worse choice. Dovale said he was capable of doing the job and estimated that it would take 4-5 weeks. The scope of the project modestly increased as we proceeded, but I ultimately didn't get my Jeep back for 6 months (25 weeks to be exact) ... and only then after frequent visits to check on the status and many requests for completion. When I finally picked up my Jeep, Dovale's endless drivel and empty promises collided with reality ... and reality has prevailed from that day on. I received an absolute mess with which I've been dealing ever since ... a vehicle so riddled with problems that I had to take it back to Certified Automotive Disasters 15 times in the next 13 months ... appalling by any standard. Just think about how insane that is ... 15 times, AFTER he did a full overhaul (ultimately, 17 times in 25 months). And I also had to schedule 3 appointments with a local Jeep dealer and 1 appointment with an auto glass shop to fix problems that Dovale was unwilling to acknowledge, incapable of fixing, or both ... for a grand total of 21 returns in 26 months to fix virtually everything he and his hack techs touched ... and problems remain to this day. Dovale ruined a vehicle that I bought new and had always meticulously maintained ... I now have problems that didn't previously exist (most infuriatingly, water leaks thanks to Dovale's hack body work ... which means my interior gets soaked every time it rains), and he doesn't have the ability or integrity to fix them. NAPA has a limited two-year warranty on its parts and labor, but it turned out that much of the hack work that Dovale did on my Jeep wasn't covered. Yet Dovale falsely claimed, repeatedly, that ALL of his work was covered by a two-year warranty ... a complete lie. He finally admitted (via text) that, actually, he has no written warranty ... which means no warranty exists ... by far, Dovale is the most dishonest businessperson I've ever encountered. I complained to NAPA about a rear main seal leak that Dovale failed to fix twice, and that he then denied was even leaking ... after the local Jeep dealer confirmed that it was the seal, NAPA paid for me to have it repaired at that dealer ... I have the reimbursement check to prove it. Whoever heard of an auto repair shop that is so incompetent that they pay to have the work done at a dealer? I certainly hadn't ... until Certified Automotive Disasters. There isn't enough space in this review to explain all of his careless, sloppy, incompetent mistakes, including many that put my safety at risk ... far worse than a bad DIY job. I've had exponentially more problems since Dovale 'fixed' my Jeep than I did in the previous 15 years combined ... body work, clutch, 4WD, wheel balancing, steering/suspension, exhaust/tailpipe, check engine light, alternator, rear main seal, door seals, header seal, windshield, rear wiper, tailgate hinges/alignment, headlight alignment, turn signals, damage to interior, and the list goes on. And on top of the mind-boggling list of problems/mistakes/errors, the stress, inconvenience, and disruption to my life that he caused is incalculable ... constant and nonstop. I wouldn't trust Dovale to properly inflate a tire ... but if you don't value your vehicle, your money, or your time, then Certified Automotive Disasters is the place for you.

I was lied to and scammed by John. He charged me over $1000 for a brand new radiator, in November,…read morewhen the reality is all he did was patch the crack that he said was in it and still continued to charge me for a new one. He told me it was the starter so he replaced that. He was wrong!! So he said he would write off the starter instead of doing the labor to take it out and just replace the radiator with something "around the same price, maybe a little more." No less than 5 months later did my car start overheating. The kicker was when it started smoking to the point I called the fire department and they told me it looked like something melted and was burning (I presume the "patch" he thought would suffice) instead of, you know, just putting in the new radiator he charged me for like a MAYBE halfway decent mechanic. When my car started overheating again I locked my debit card because my car was never actually fixed the right way and who pays for something that isn't what they were told they were paying for?? I am a young mother and I am absolutely NEVER going to give money to a "mechanic" who has now made my vehicle and CHILD unsafe. Fast forward to today, my car is in a new TRUSTED mechanic shop and that is when I was told it was patched and nowhere near brand new (remember this was replaced in November) My boyfriend and I called him today two separate times and two separate times he couldn't even be bothered to listen. All he did was talk and yell over me like a child and then HUNG UP like an even bigger baby. Apparently because of my mother's "past due balance" which in reality, he stopped taking money out of her account. She reached out multiple times and he never once got back in touch. When he did get back in touch it was a survey about how well they are doing. Clearly he has a track record of some shady business. I am now being screwed over, punished, and not listened to because of something that has nothing to do with MY issue. Lying, scamming, and then speaking to CUSTOMERS the way you did today is absolutely no way to get any money owed. And I know for a FACT I am not the first person he has done this to and it will definitely not be the last. You should've never gotten the $1000+ I paid in the first place considering what you charged me for was not even done. If you're going to come back and say "well you got a free starter", don't forget your the professional who was WRONG. The fact that this person is running a business this way, in fact running a business at all, is an absolute joke. He is a scammer, he is a liar, and he is a pathetic excuse for a man.
