Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. They figured a gray-haired old lady was stupid. They were wrong!

Luckily I happened to find CLTMobile online! I actually invested in a mobile brake repair business about 3 years ago but have often thought how great a full service mobile mechanic would be! I messed up an electrical connection on one of my cars by accident doing some service on it. I could not fix it. My wife needed that car for work within a few days and my time was limited during that time to get it somewhere to get fixed. I called CLTmobile and got an appt booked right away. Mechanic came on time; he was super nice and very knowledgeable. He did a terrific job at a very affordable price! I will definitely be using them for all my automotive needs going forward that I can't fix myself. a minute ago New…read moreKevin came out to look at my mom's car that was having a coolant leak. Kevin charged $150 to diagnose the car and said that payment will be applied to the total fix the car. I was ok with that. He made his diagnosis then ordered parts from advanced auto parts. He calls me when he's picking up the part saying the store ordered and quoted him for the wrong part. At this point I'm completely understanding. He sends me a link to order the correct part. I ordered the part and then let him know it arrived. He came out to fix the car. I told him I was at work so my mom would be the primary contact and told him to reach out to her for anything. He comes out and starts working. I get a call from him at work. He didn't want to call my mom because he knew she was going to be livid. He couldn't do the job. He said there was a part that he needed that he didn't have. I'm irritated at this point but I appreciated him not doing a janky job just for the money. So I called around and eventually found a shop to tow the car to. Come to find out the part he had me order was the wrong part. So he was completely incompetent when it came to this job. Now I have to start completely over and I paid him $150 for him to give wrong information. I will not be calling him again and neither should you!

I stopped into their shop knowing that I was most likely not going to be able to get the service done that day but wanting to make an appt. for a future date. First the lady at the desk said that I could not make an appt. then the owner came out and said that I could in fact make an appt. but informed me that I would not be able to wait for my car... He informed me that my ONLY option was to drop the car off and they would get to it at some point during the day. I let him know that I did not have anyone to pick me up and then bring me back and I honestly don't want to spend $15 or $20 dollars on Uber just to go 2.5 miles. He again told me that ONLY option was to drop the car off and leave... I was clearly frustrated but never raised my voice, so I was shocked when the owner snapped and told me not to raise my voice at him... I told him that dropping the car and leaving was not an option for me and he told me to go somewhere else. When I tried to respond he told me to leave!!! I told him that I was going to call Discount Tire and tell them how I was treated, and he said go ahead, that won't stop them from sending him business... I know how a bad review can damage a business, so I thought long and hard about leaving this review but at the end of the day, if this man is comfortable treating a potential customer the way he treated me then he clearly does not care about his business.
