Auto 7 is conveniently perched at Arkansas and Fielder, an intersection I drove past two or more times daily for years before ever stopping in here for a State Inspection. To be honest, I'm not sure what other services they offer, but the guys at Auto 7 can turn a state inspection around fast. I have been here 8-10 times to have various cars inspected over the years and have not waited once. There is no real "inside" to the garage, so there are typically some mechanics standing around as I drop my car. They are usually friendly, making conversation with me as I step away from the car for the inspection to be completed, which takes fifteen minutes at the most. In case of unpleasant weather, they have a waiting area inside. It has an odor I can't identify, and the furniture is old and a bit dirty. The store has model cars, cold drinks, and some international items for sale in an overstuffed, cluttery arrangement that needs dusting. If you are sensitive, I wouldn't advise going in. I want to give Auto 7 a 3.5 almmmoossssst 4 stars because they are my go-to for inspection for convenience and quick turnaround. But, the parking lot and inside the store are run down in such a way that some customers may be put off. If you don't want to wait for State Inspection, I'd recommend Auto 7! read more

Got inspection and oil changed Aug 2022. On Jan 31 this year, my engine through a rod. It's a little 3-cylinder engine that takes 3.5 quarts of oil. The dealership drained 7 quarts of dirty oil. This tells me that the oil wasn't drained or filter changed and they certainly didn't check the dipstick after adding more oil or they would have seen it was overfilled. My car has less than 35K and now it needs a new engine. Since the engine failure is due to the oil overfill, the warranty is voided. I'm going to have to confront them about this and I don't expect it'll go good. I'm just sick about this. read more

You can drive up anytime from (7 to 7) and get exceptional service at a great price. They have oil changes that last 7,500-12,500 miles! So yesterday my fiance and I when here to get an inspection for my car... they let me know I headed a new tire no biggie... so here's where the problem occurred.. I have wheel locks on all 4 of my wheels.. the worker asked for the key which I provided him.. so as we're watching him I notice something was off it never took this long to change a tire.. the man is walking back and forth to his tool box getting extra tools I tell my fiance and he goes over to see what the issue was.. come to find out the worker broke my wheel lock key on my wheel lock... he didn't apologize we asked for the manager and for some odd reason that title was being passed around from person to person nobody took accountability for damaging my property nor did we get a discount on services... nothing was offered and we still had to pay full price... now like I mentioned before ALL MY WHEELS HAVE LOCKS ON THEM... if the worker broke me wheel lock key how am I supposed to have my other wheels removed.. they didn't care and sent us on our way.. now I have to order a whole new set and have a professional remove them... extra money to be paid for something someone else did.. just a tragic experience will not return... read more

Located on the northwest corner of Arkansas and Fielder Rd. Owner name is Abba. He doesn't say much, but he runs a good business there. I can always count on him for whatever automotive help I need. Always go there for oil changes. Castrol oil change $24.95. The brand of oil makes no difference to me. It's so much cheaper than any of the chain places. They do state inspections there. I've had my car and truck inspected there. They sell used tires. I bought one the day before I took a road trip to Denver. I had no problems with it at all. My teenage daughter takes her car there too upon my recommendation. Abba told her, "I know your dad, I will take care of you"! I like that. Some places take advantage of female drivers. Now I know my daughter can go there with no worries. read more

They had to re-do our oil change twice because the owner stayed on the phone not paying attention to my truck, made my truck smell like cigarettes, and was rude when informing me AT THE END that their credit card machine was down and would not be taking cards at all. We don't carry cash, especially during a pandemic, and we aren't paying extra to walk across the street and pull from an ATM. Would you take your car to a shop, to get a full oil suvice for your car done? Pay for a full oil service, but didn't get a new oil filter change. Got charged for it, but didn't get done. Would you take your car there? This place will not change your oil filter, if your car has a paper filter, or if it's hard for them to locate it. They would just drain your oil, an top you off with oil. Then charge you for a full oil service, an tell you they change your filter. But the truth is, all they did was spray engine degreaser to make it look like they changed the filter. If you need a used tire, an cant get a new one. They'll slap one on for 35 a used tire. The thing is he doesn't always put the right tire size, that matches with the rest of you vehicle. They dont care if it matches the original size tire or not. Witch could cause your other tires on your vehicle to go bad, costing you more money in the end. The owner doesn't care to put in the right oil type in your car, for example... If you car recommends 5w 20, he do care what it recommends. He will put any type like....15w 30, or 10w30, he mixes them all up together. If really dont car about your car, then come here. Just dont get mad when your engine starts die off, or if your tire blow out because he slapped a trailer tire on your truck, instead of a truck tire. If you care about your vehicle, I highly extremely recommend you not to come here, ABBA the owner is the biggest prick getting a lot people fooled. read more

I have been using Auto 7 for several years for oil changes and Inspections. The only reason they don't do my repairs is that I prefer to do those myself, so far I haven't had anything over my head. I believe they are a honest, hard-working shop. Not the best looking of shops, but his prices and honesty keep me going back. If you get your brakes done here make sure they "pump" them. Went to drive off after getting them done and could not stop! Had to maneuver through oncoming traffic after leaving to pull out. I even pulled my emergency brake and it still didn't just stop until I had crossed the street and almost ran into the store across the street. The scariest day of my life! Had my 3 babies in the back and that was officially the last straw! The only reason I went back there was because the black man already owed me and had a super long wait at other places. Of course he didn't remember me but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful with these people. The black man did them and he did apologize and said he forgot to pump them and he owe me. On that super busy street it could have been the end of all our lives over something so minor so I'll never take him up on that "owe me" offer. Went there for car inspection since it was close to the office. The cost for state of Texas is $39.75. He had it painted on the building $5 off inspection. The owner charged my credit card for $36 even AFTER I asked how much total AND was TOLD $34.75. Asked him why he charged more than what he was supposed to. He tried to give me a coupon for $3.50 off of inspection. Told him it is painted on the building $5 off. He became very belligerent started screaming calling me "stupid" and yelling in his language. I believe he is embarrassed because I asked him about this in front of other customers who were in the shop. Simply put he got caught cheating. I understand that it is only $1.25 more BUT it is the principal of it. He cheated me and I wonder how many other he might have very well cheated also. I will call the credit card company and dispute this overcharge once it had shown up on the statement. I will never ever go back to this shop again no matter what. My wife took her car there for a quick oil change in a rush. After they finished the employee told my wife she needed a new bolt for the oil pan. On my way home from work I purchased one. A day later I had an oil spill in my driveway. I had her take the new bolt back to the shop because I knew they had stripped it. Well lets just say I spoke with one of the mechanics on the phone and he explained the bolt didnt fit because it was stripped and I explained thats why I sent the car back for them to fix. They made a pretend call to autozone and had my wife go pick some magical bolt up, well autozone said they had no idea what she was talking about. Autozone sent us to jiffy lube they put a temporary bolt in place and said the bolt was definitely stripped and I might add they didnt charge her, go jiffy lube. On top of that they charged her for another oil change two days after. Now I need a new pan and will be visiting to see how they are going to make this right. Will update on result of action. Very displeased feel as if they took advantage of a woman but now the man has to go in person to resolve. read more
