We have been there for 3 years now, and they have made continuous improvements to the school. We love the team there, and their supportive attitude of the mix of neurodivergent students. They have a part-time counselor there who is an intern from NCSU. Tuition is high because class sizes are kept small to provide individualized attention. Friends of Trilogy is the support side of the school (this PTA) which assists in creating community and assists parents in their Trilogy journey including how to fud their student's education. Tamra is extremely knowledgeable regarding myriad services for children and adults and is an amazing asset to families and our community. I am a single mother of 4 here in Wake County and 2 of my children are severely autistic with other differences including sensory processing issues and pica. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tamra when she was assigned as my child's case manager during her tenure at the CDSA (Children's Developmental Services Agency). Tamra helped me with services for my child and also gave me a lot of advice for my other child that was already in the school system with an IEP. Tamra can help with guidance during IEP meetings and advocate for your child and I can tell you from my personal experience, she will treat your child/children as if they were her own. Tamra was even attentive and answered questions for my 2 children that don't have special needs, but were learning along with me. Tamra is very professional, attentive, determined and I promise you, you would not regret having her help you navigate the complex world of disabilty services, the school system and acquiring other services. I was extremely overwhelmed when we first met because both of my children had just been diagnosed, but Tamra took us under her wing and made me feel so much more confident and comfortable with the processes. My children love Tamra and her family....it was funny because when she started working with us we found out she literally lived in the same subdivision. Tamra's family has become framily (friends that are pretty much family).....because when people go above and beyond and do so much for your family.....they often become just like family and you develop a deep connection and respect. These people have made a huge impact in my life and changed it for the better…read more I went through a lot at Teacch to get to where I am now, and I can say, with certainty, that if it wasn't for Teacch, I would not be the way I am today The process these people go through to help people can and does take years. This isn't a normal business. You can't just walk in and expect to change immediately. It took me 6 years (I started at age 38 and continued to about age 43), and even though I am no longer seeing them, I am still growing into a better version of who I am now. These people can and have made a real difference. I also know people who have been through this process of help at Teacch and it helped them all. To get involved with them, it takes time. They have to do testing on you, and they have to find a place for you so they can help you. They have a limited amount of funding and a limited amount of people. And there are a lot of people out there who could use the help and want it. So if you are in the process of getting help for yourself or your child, bare with them! They are doing their best, and think of this as a marathon, and not a 100 meter dash. The entire process takes time anyway, including the entering process at the beginning! In the end, it's well worth the wait!

It won't be overnight and it won't solve every problem your child has, but it will make solid, foundational changes that will hold them in good stead for the rest of their lives. We tried it for our daughter with the most extreme ADHD symptoms and were so pleased, we put our other daughter (with less extreme symptoms) in as well. Our situation: two girls, daily calls and texts from teachers regarding behavior and not paying attention in school. I got an average of 2 calls per girl each day. I dreaded answering my phone and my stomach hurt when I saw the school name pop up on my phone. My husband is dead set against medication; me not so much. So the combination of diet, program and home exercises made sense for us. The cost is really high. Not going to lie about it. But it's worth every single dollar. I've watched first-hand as things started to change - small things like my daughter doing less donkey kicks while she watched her tablet, her starting to do things the 1st or 2nd time I told her, making eye contact when she speaks, and moving to having control over her actions. Finally, both my girls would tell me that they wanted to do better, be better but they couldn't reach those goals. Their brains didn't have the connections to give them that level of control. It's an amazing process to watch and to know that you are hitting the root of the problem rather than applying temporary band-aids.
