I have been a patient at a couple of other clinics in Gainesville, VA since July of 2024, and when my prognosis grew stale and outcomes were either unchanged or actually regressed I searched for different options. Kayla actually seems to listen to me each time I visit and addresses my issues with manipulation, massage, and exercise recommendations. I recently updated my treatment plan with my podiatrist and Prime PT had implemented the changes to my treatment plan in time for my next visit (proactively, which is a big change from other providers). I will continue as long as needed for weekly and then infrequent visits when my issues become more manageable. I truly enjoy, and don't dread my sessions here and couldn't recommend them more.

I received more hand-on attention at Dynamics than I've ever received before. Lots of places show you exercises and let you go thru the process pretty much on your own. Not here. The patient is the focus. They respect patient privacy (intake interview in a closed room rather than out in the treatment area). Good adherence to covid 19 guidelines. This is a small facility but it was not over scheduled and I was never near another patient. Karen and Megan are consistently pleasant, skilled and on-task. I've been to local PT practices where the therapists spent more time flirting and talking about their weekends than with the patients. One facility allowed an employer's toddler to run around the treatment area and did intake interviews surrounded by other patients. None of that nonsense here. If I need physical therapy in the future I will be happy to return to Dynamics in Haymarket.

Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

Industrial Rehabilitation, the Workman's Compensation part of Blue Ridge Orthopedics, deserves ZERO…read morestars. In short, I saw the physical therapist in my initial consultation visit and partially in the second visit. My other visits were with a PTA who just graduated her program the month prior. There was zero oversight for her and at times googled exercises and did not properly give correct advice. There were other patients who had the same injury as mine that are still not making progress due to their lack of knowledge--fortunately, I had outside professionals helping me on the side. To make matters worse, when I questioned my progress plan, the PTA printed out a plan that had an incorrect surgery. I had a meniscus trim and she was trying to treat me as a meniscus repair- a much different recovery plan!! I asked questions I knew just to confirm they were clueless. I don't blame the PTA, she's new and not getting the training and oversight she needs and deserves. All the blame goes to the Physical therapist. Lastly, without informing me or my surgeon, the rehab facility scheduled me for a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FTE) and wanted to conduct it which is a conflict of interest. My surgeon found out and immediately canceled it because I wasn't ready for one nor did I need one. I can only assume what their agenda was ($$). I informed workman's comp to remove this company from their list! The picture below is also a lack of care for their patients. During a snow storm they didn't even attempt to remove the snow/ice from the handicap ramp. Even if they don't have the responsibility for the ramp, I think I would have removed the snow. Overall, DO NOT GO HERE!

This place will challenge you, but also help you with whatever you need to make you successful. Robbie and David were the two therapists/employees on the floor working with work hardening and conditioning for those returning to the job force like myself. It's a lot of independent work, you're given a clipboard and after your initial visits, they'll help you set up a list of things to do, encouraging you to track and even beat the previous day's time or weight. For example when I first started I could last about 15 minutes on the treadmill before my back and legs felt like they were going to collapse, by the end up my 4 weeks I was at almost an hour! I saw improvement which made me want to work harder at getting back to my normal life and routine! These fellas are fantastic, and will help anyway they can. The two of them definitely made the experience a good one!
