Biang biang noodles with pork
Cindy T.

Decided to check this place out to grab a to go order of their hand pulled noodles with beef. When I came in to put in my order, I could tell how busy they were during our dinner rush-hour. The cashier who took my order was super kind with a friendly smile. My order came out quickly and it well packed with to go utensils and napkins. I even got a small thing of chili oil, which I appreciate since I like my food spicy. At first, I was a little put off by how thick the noodles are but to be honest, I think that is just a me problem. I have come to realize that I personally do not like thick noodles which is the nature of hand pulled noodles. The sauce and the beef itself was absolutely delicious. Very addicting. I also got an order of the scallion pancakes and honestly, I found them to be disappointing. I tried them right away as soon as I got back to my car since I knew condensation could make them not as crispy when I got home. However, even freshly cooked, they weren't crispy. Flavor was just ok. The rest of the menu looked very enticing so I look forward to trying it out when I'm in the area!

Authentic Hand-Pulled Noodle House in Decatur, GA (near Emory)! If you love fresh hand-pulled noodles, this new spot is worth checking out Biang Biang Noodles -- 9/10 Compared to the traditional version from Xi'an, the noodles here aren't quite as wide, but the texture is still chewy and well made. The flavor is nicely balanced with their house-made chili oil and soy sauce. It gives that comforting, home-style Chinese noodle flavor. Braised Short Rib Noodle Soup -- 8.5/10 The broth is rich and flavorful, tasting like a mix of beef bone and chicken broth. The short ribs were super tender and clearly braised long enough to soak up all the flavor. My favorite part was the noodle texture -- chewy with just the right firmness. Beef & Beef Tendon -- 8/10 The chili oil sauce was very fragrant and flavorful, but slightly on the salty side. Scallion Pancake -- 9/10 Crispy with lots of scallion fragrance. Not sure if it's made from scratch, but I really liked this

Authentic Hand Pulled Noodle House is a recently opened family owned restaurant that features delicious hand made noodle dishes. Their broth is made freshly daily, extremely flavorful and the noodle is super tender and chewy. Everything about this place is quality. Service is super quick and the owner is super attentive as well. The place is superb clean, and I will definitely come back. This place reminds me of home.

The hand pulled noodles were most definitely the star of each dish we had! The E1 with pork was delicious- the pork was fall-off-the-bone tender and the stir fry sauce was great. The D1 noodle soup was good but not great, the broth lacked flavor and it could have benefited from a veggie or two. Service was not great, we were never checked on during the meal and the staff was just up front taking. We tried to look around to try and get someone's attention a few times and failed. Decor was also nothing to write home about. The space feels a bit bland and unfinished. Overall we would return and I'm sure things will just improve with time.

Came for lunch on a weekday. The service was friendly and quick. We got the D1 and D2 on the menu. Beef hand pulled noodles and the braised beef hand pulled noodles. The noodle texture was perfectly chewy and delicious. The broth was pretty flavorful and I loved all the cilantro and green onions they put in it. The beef was very tender and I enjoyed it. Overall, I'm glad they opened up in Decatur!

Overall: - great food with a normal price - I recommend it! - brand new spot that I imagine can only get better with time The hand pulled noodles are amazing! They're chewy and flavorful while absorbing the tastes of the soup/oil they're cooked in. The springs rolls were the perfect crisp however the vegetables were bland on the inside. We tried to order a brown sugar milk tea but they said they didn't have any yet, which is strange. If it's on the menu I should be able to order it or at least warn me. (Minus half a Star) The service was very attentive and quick, even with a busy Friday night dinner with all the tables full. I must note that there was almost too much attention as we had waiters asking us every 5 minutes how our food was which is fine and shows eagerness. However, the decor was a bit lacking. The chairs were comfy and the tables were fine (even if they don't match the theme). The walls were a bit bland and the whole space felt an unfinished. (Minus half star). They did have a space where you can see the noodle chef actually hand pull the noodles which is fascinating and encouraged!

The most authentic Chinese noodle spot I had!!! My personal favorites were the Stewed Pork Burger and the Biang biang noodle. Their hand-pulled noodle is so chewy and authentic. I can't wait to be back again!

My son, husband, and I came for an early Friday dinner. We were seated promptly. It took about five minutes for server to come but she was friendly and gave me good recommendations and explained that the Biang biang noodle and the Dan Dan noodle were cold but that the meat was hot. My son tried the spicy chicken noodle dish which she told us was actually not that spicy but she really liked it. We also got the scallion pancake appetizer. I thought each dish was outstanding. I am a big fan of Lanzhao ramen and these dishes were equally tasty, if not better! They have chili oil and soy sauce at each table in case you need extra seasoning. I felt extremely full upon leaving but glad I had just gone to the gym and earned my tummy full of fresh pasta. I will definitely be back! My husband saw that the staff gave a family with two young kids dough to play with. It is in the same strip mall as Buena Gente and Po Boy Shop and Community bbq, so easy to locate!

Dry fry noodles with stewed beef

We got : chicken spring rolls, chicken Chinese hamburger, beef noodle soup hand pulled and pictured is the dry stir fry knife sliced noodles with stewed beef We loved everything except for the soup. The soup was good but more average. Good if you want something simple But the Chinese hamburger and the dry noodles were so good!!

Biang biang

I had an amazing experience at this hand-pulled noodle house. It's a wonderful family-owned business, and you can truly feel the care and pride they put into everything they make. The noodles are handmade from scratch and have the perfect chewy texture, so fresh and full of flavor! They even showed me how they pull the noodles by hand, which gave me more of an appreciation of the skill that goes into each bowl. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. If you're looking for real, authentic noodles made with skill and heart, this is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend! The pork Chinese burger, biang biang, and Dan Dan noodles are my favorites so far but excited to go back and try more!

Milk tea (half finished because it was so good)

Amazing noodles!! We came here opening day and I'm so impressed by the quality of hand pulled noodle. We got the milk tea, stir fry with pork ribs and knife sliced noodle, Dan Dan noodle, and the traditional beef soup with hand pulled noodle. The milk tea was just the right amount of sweetness and had a nice strong flavor. The dan dan noodle and traditional soup were the stars of the show. The Dan Dan noodles were perfectly chewy and had such an outstanding nutty and spicy flavor. The soup broth is herby and flavorful without being fatty and the hand pulled noodles were honestly perfect. Finally the service and environment was great. It was clean and spacious. Our server was happy and friendly, and the owner and other staff were also very friendly and helpful. Everyone should go check it out, this is such a great addition to the Decatur food scene.

Veggie Egg Hand-Pulled Noodles

We stopped by for lunch on opening day (1/28/2026) and fell in love instantly! We were greeted with so much warmth and attention; the staff was genuinely excited to share that they are a brand-new, family-owned business. The food is authentic Northern Chinese cuisine, specifically highlighting the flavors of Lanzhou--the city famous for hand-pulled noodles! The menu is very approachable with plenty of variety, including rice dishes, appetizers, and great bubble tea. We are so happy to welcome this lovely Noodle House to the North Decatur/Emory community. We'll definitely be regulars!

It's extremely delicious! Authentic Chinese flavor! You can watch the chef pull the noodles in front of you! Delicious soup flavoring and flaky crispy Chinese burger.

Decatur Rd. at a very busy intersection, it sits tucked into a tiny shopping center, blink and you will drive right past it. Parking is limited, and you can immediately tell the small lot fills up fast, especially during peak hours. I stumbled upon Tenya while in town on a Tuesday, scrolling Yelp in search of a solid lunch spot, and I'm glad I did. This is a family-owned Japanese eatery that specializes in comfort food, and according to their website, everything is made from scratch, which absolutely shows in the quality. I placed my order online and picked it up with ease. I ordered the Shrimp Saku Saku appetizer along with a fresh garden Tenya salad. The shrimp were excellent, perfectly crispy with a flavorful panko coating that didn't feel heavy or greasy. The salad was impressively fresh and came with their house-made ginger dressing, which paired beautifully with the crisp greens and added just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy, with a decent amount of seating for its size. The customer service was warm and welcoming; the lady at the counter greeted me kindly and had my order ready shortly after I arrived, making the pickup process smooth and pleasant. A nice bonus is the selection of packaged Japanese snacks and drinks available at the counter, always a fun touch and something you don't see everywhere. Next time, I plan to dine in and explore more of the menu, along with sampling some of those snacks and drinks. Tenya is a great example of simple, thoughtfully prepared food done right. I'll definitely be back.

They make everything fresh, took about 15 minutes to get my order. The Sando was sooo good! Chicken was freshly fried, the cucumbers gave it a nice crunch and the sauce was good. The fries didn't have enough of the seaweed, IMO, just tasted like regular fries. I didn't care for the sauce that the fries came with...it was like a sweet soy sauce, just didn't hit. Overall, the sandwich was great, and a nice size. I will be back to try more of their menu items.

I parked on the side of a building and got out and walked. Yall! Maps took me all over the block! I got my steps in that day but it's a lot of eateries so plenty to choose from. Oh, and I enjoyed the graffiti. Just as I was about to give up, I walked by two guys and one of them said, "You look hungry. You must be looking for the noodle spot". He said that people overlook it all the time. I had walked right by the restaurant multiple times. It's seems it's several restaurants share the same space so that confuses a lot of people. Also, the sign that says "Lifting Noodles" indicating you are in the right place was lying on the ground so I missed it. The restaurant is all the way in the back. I was greeted immediately and directed to place my order via a kiosk which I did. I ordered the Angry Zuko Ramen to go. They do have tables if you want to eat there. The wait was not long at all...maybe 5 minutes. The broth was really tasty and flavorful and had a nice kick to it. The meal is already spicy and when I ordered, there was a "make it spicy" option which I checked. So I'm not sure if by checking that option, it made it even more spicy than how it normally is or not. My only complaint is there was not enough meat and the egg tasted funny.. it had a sweet taste to it. Next time, I'll request more meat and no egg.

I love Downtown Decatur even though I don't get over here often. The ambiance was charming with hints of Thailand throughout and tables to seat maybe 50-60 people. As usual, there's traffic for to-go orders but most were coming in to dine in for a while. Our group was a party of 7 and the service was delightful. They explained menu options, drinks and even dessert. We started with cocktails, appetizers and finally our entree. We brought birthday cake so didn't order dessert this visit. My Red Sangria was delicious and a generous pour with fresh fruit. I had the soup for a starter and my usual - Pad Thai noodles for my dinner. The experience was very nice however there were some misses - the steamed dumplings were rather dry. Flavors for the curry didn't have a rich coconut flavor. The breezeway from the door (just a curtain) created a chill in the room but it wasn't too bad. Parking: There's limited street parking and the lots are rather pricey. Be advised, take Marta or take a ride-share.

It was busier than usual--probably thanks to the holiday--but the atmosphere was still fantastic, as always. The service was impeccable--attentive, warm, and full of great suggestions. I ordered the chicken okonomiyaki, a miso soup, and, after my last time's mistake, just one negroni--because, wow, that drink hit like a Mike Tyson punch the first time. The miso soup was, as always, a comforting classic--those little tofu cubes floating in that warm broth are just perfect. But the star was the chicken okonomiyaki. I only got the small one, but the flavor was out of this world. The chicken was so unbelievably tender--like, the A5 wagyu of chicken. I can still taste it days later--it was that good. I can already see it becoming my go-to, though I might go bigger next time, depending on my appetite. One of my favorite things is that OK Yaki keeps the kitchen open super late--especially handy on a Saturday night. If you're reading this and you're on the fence--don't second-guess yourself.
