Bonus - Lucy the owner is super nice and accommodating!! The beef noodle soup was the first thing that hit. Deep, layered flavor without being heavy, and the beef was incredibly tender. The Chinese pulled pork burger was just as good--juicy, packed with flavor, and the thin, flaky bun made it hard to stop at one. The Biang Biang hand-pulled noodles were a standout. Great chew, nicely balanced soy and spice, with tender beef and fresh bean sprouts that kept every bite interesting. Also a nice bonus: they've got fresh boba and fruit teas on the side, and they're actually good--not just there for show. Didn't expect to find a spot like this in Atlanta, but we'd absolutely come back and refer to friends who are visiting. My mom ordered from here over the weekend and can say I'd of been happier if I was charged $15 for a two pack of Top Ramen. Two of us got the "spicy diced chicken stir fried noodles" and one of us got a veggie hand pulled noodle soup. The soup was ok but literally had the exact same veggies as other dishes with exception of a handful of scallions. The broth was literally just water and a dusting of flavor, absolutely no oil/fat/bones. The two pieces of broccoli were rock hard. The stir fry was borderline disgusting due to absolutely no flavor except the boiled chicken. Again zero fat/oil or flavor. Absolutely zero red, not one flake of a pepper, not one onion or scallion. The scallion pancake should have been called a scallion whisper crepe as it was about a tablespoon of batter and .2 grams of scallions spread out and fried probably instantly. Being absolutely baffled by the table of warm water we were eating I decided to call and ask for a refund. The manager told me the spicy noodles meant 5 spice (you know how Szechuan cuisines is so famous for its 5 spice) and so that's why it tasted like I was sucking on my thumb. According to her there supposedly isn't supposed to be a single pepper in the spicy noodles . I was offered a vague discount if I wanted to come in and try again which I declined. We did however receive a call later that evening from the owner who said I maybe was right and an entire step of the cooking may have been missed (I'm sure the part where you actually season your food and stir fry it). His call is the reason for 2 stars. I appreciate the effort by him but no way I'm giving somebody a chance that let hot garbage come out of their kitchen. That lets me know the roaches,rats and other issues in a kitchen won't be taken seriously if the owner isn't watching. Please drive the extra 3 miles to go to Lan Zhou and do yourself a favor and avoid this place! read more

This was my first time trying authentic hand-pulled noodles, and unfortunately the experience started off poorly. The staff member packaged my order with the soup placed on top of a dry noodle bowl. The container had two holes at the bottom and wasn't tightly sealed, so the broth leaked everywhere and spilled all over my car. I initially saw the bowls placed side by side, but they were later stacked, which likely caused the spill. Proper packaging would really make a big difference. As for the food, the taste was overall okay but not outstanding. The noodles lacked the bouncy, chewy texture I was expecting from hand-pulled noodles. The beef was quite tough and dry. The biang biang noodles came with a very generous amount of oil, which was a bit overwhelming for my preference. The spicy diced chicken dish had very little meat and no vegetables, which was disappointing. Decided to check this place out to grab a to go order of their hand pulled noodles with beef. When I came in to put in my order, I could tell how busy they were during our dinner rush-hour. The cashier who took my order was super kind with a friendly smile. My order came out quickly and it well packed with to go utensils and napkins. I even got a small thing of chili oil, which I appreciate since I like my food spicy. At first, I was a little put off by how thick the noodles are but to be honest, I think that is just a me problem. I have come to realize that I personally do not like thick noodles which is the nature of hand pulled noodles. The sauce and the beef itself was absolutely delicious. Very addicting. I also got an order of the scallion pancakes and honestly, I found them to be disappointing. My son, husband, and I came for an early Friday dinner. We were seated promptly. It took about five minutes for server to come but she was friendly and gave me good recommendations and explained that the Biang biang noodle and the Dan Dan noodle were cold but that the meat was hot. My son tried the spicy chicken noodle dish which she told us was actually not that spicy but she really liked it. We also got the scallion pancake appetizer. I thought each dish was outstanding. I am a big fan of Lanzhao ramen and these dishes were equally tasty, if not better! They have chili oil and soy sauce at each table in case you need extra seasoning. Amazing noodles!! We came here opening day and I'm so impressed by the quality of hand pulled noodle. We got the milk tea, stir fry with pork ribs and knife sliced noodle, Dan Dan noodle, and the traditional beef soup with hand pulled noodle. The milk tea was just the right amount of sweetness and had a nice strong flavor. The dan dan noodle and traditional soup were the stars of the show. The Dan Dan noodles were perfectly chewy and had such an outstanding nutty and spicy flavor. The soup broth is herby and flavorful without being fatty and the hand pulled noodles were honestly perfect. Finally the service and environment was great. It was clean and spacious. We were greeted with so much warmth and attention; the staff was genuinely excited to share that they are a brand-new, family-owned business. The food is authentic Northern Chinese cuisine, specifically highlighting the flavors of Lanzhou--the city famous for hand-pulled noodles! One of my greatest weaknesses is noodles, I love noodles. My friend came one weekend evening and said the line was very long, so we decided to go on a weekday in the early evening instead. There was no line at all. The staff were super friendly and thoughtful. We ordered two appetizers but only received one (hence, a 4 stars instead of 5). We ordered one traditional noodle dish and one mixed noodle dish, and they were both very good. I especially loved the texture and taste of the noodles, it brought me back to my childhood.
