I received a quote on the phone. I asked the woman to send me the quote to my email. When I did not receive the quote I called her the following day, then again. At that point we were still on the same page regarding pricing. Unfortunately I took a stupid risk after failing to get a quote and drove from Dripping Springs all the way through traffic to Austin. When I got there the woman changed the price from $550 to $750. I drove an hour out to Cottonwood Shores and got the job done with premium tent for $350. "All Clear Tint". So another new to me car and another need for window tint. I took my 2004 Accord after having a good experience the first time. I called in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in for a complete strip, re-tint and to tint the front windshield of my car. There was a concern they might not get to my car the same day but they pulled it off and the tint looks great. For those of who have never consider it, getting your front windshield tinted is a great idea. The tint was done on my car during one our usually hot summers and made a significant difference on how quickly my car cools down inside. For example I'd usually have to have my car on the coldest setting, but with the new tint and the front windshield now tinted my car would actually get too cold after awhile even though it was 100+ outside. read more

They replied with in hours, Monday morning, with great information and answered all questions I had. Was able to get appointment just two days later for Wednesday morning. They were super friendly and got me in at the time they stated. Service was quick, only about 45 min for front two windows. Only complaint I have was the spray they use to put the tint on was not cleaned off vehicle doors and side mirrors. But I know if I had said something at the time they would have cleaned. Did a good job of window tinting. Was able to drop off the car. The job was done in a reasonable time. The cost was reasonable and everyone there was nice to me. Prior to this the electric windows did not open or close. The windows were fixed by them and they did not charge for the repair. This is a long term service review. I am happy with the service at this shop and have taken 2 new vehicles to them. The first vehicle I took to them was a Cadillac ATS back in 2016. They did a great job on it and the tint looked great up to the time I traded for another car. The 2nd vehicle was a 2018 Mazda3 that job didnt last well and started bubbling in 2019 and got progressively worse then Covid hit. I didnt actually take it in until recently in 2023. Their work is backed by a lifetime warranty so they took care of my car and retinted the windows. I would send recommend as they stand by their work! read more

I was looking to get my front windows tinted to match the privacy glass on the rear of the vehicle. I searched around yelp to find a reputable dealer and found Austin Window Tint. Upon calling them they could not have been more professional. They took the time to discuss my options and costs associated. I was advised I could bring the car in without an appointment but if possible give them a call just to let them know I was coming. I showed up and the first thing I am greeted with is 3 dogs running to the front door as I open it. There was a funny sign on the door telling you not to let the dogs out "despite what they tell you" but the reality is its quite awkward to get in without the dogs getting out. I have my own dog who I like to take places but not everyone appreciates a bouncing dog at a place of business. Anyway, This was the least of my issues. I picked my tint and was advised it would be ready in an hour. They were very quick to get the car moved in and start work on the vehicle. When the car was ready I went out to inspect the work and the job was horrible! There was a ton of dust and dirt under the tint. It was clear they had not cleaned the window before applying the tint. There was also a ton of hair from the felt liner at the bottom of the window under the tint also. Now I know there is a 5% variance for this type of job and I am honestly not over exaggerating how poor this job was. I went back in to advise them I was not happy with the job and they came out to take a look. At this point I feel Austin Window Tint began to get very unprofessional telling me you "get flaws in everything" explaining if he was to go round my house or round my car he could pick out flaws. Well that wouldn't be a surprise given the car is 5 years old and my house is 20 years old. But I believe I could have done a better job myself so what was the point in taking it here. Eventually he explained that with the felt liners there is nothing they can do and you will always get the dirt under the tint yet none of this was communicated before commencing the work. Eventually they agreed to just remove the tint advising they couldn't do a better job even if they tried again. I honestly left doubting myself, Surely there couldn't be nearly 100 yelpers giving it 5 stars and them all be happy with this poor level of workmanship?!?! Maybe my standards were just to high? Either way it would have driven me nuts with the amount of dust under there and the dirty marks so I am glad they removed them. Since this experience I have had my windows tinted at another company who done a fantastic job! They were $20 a window cheaper, had no dust what so ever under the tint. And get this for being a problem solver.... They put tape on the felt liners as they install the tint to prevent it getting under the tint. TL,DR; Initially great customer service but the reality was a very (VERY!) poor job, poor customer service (telling me there is in-perfections in everything and offering to point out imperfections in a 5 year old car) and sub-par to competitors who done a better job with a cheaper price. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! read more
